Sheppard is a part of the long term plans for a team that is very deep, very young, and very talented. He;s not getting playing time, not because he is not good, but because there just aren't enough minutes. Cam Whitmore was in in the same boat, but then Cam was swutched into the rotation and with injuries Cam has been balling out. If reed was on a team that wasn't a top 2 team in the West and had so many mouths to feed, he would be having a great year 2. You don't just draft a player for how they will perform in their rookie year. You want a player you can build with over the long term and Reed will be that guy when FVV is no longer with the team in year 2 or 3 and the Rockets need to lean on him more.
