3:03 It should look like this, the model in production is always a diluted version of concept on paper... Why it can't get out of the factory looking like the concept car on paper ? The design is awesome !
@@PolestarCars Thanks for your response, I wanted to clarify that I was not targeting Polestar in particular when I said the production model was a diluted version of the concept car as I am talking about the industry in general. I know you have major constraints with safety standards, but at least you have to offer those big rims with a very slim space in the wheel arch. I would love so much if the bumper and front grille could be as aggressive as the concept car design and the wide front and rear fenders but I know it's already too late because I'm sure you're already working on the models that are going to come out in the next five/ten years lol
@@vapor4den it's totally different, look at the new car company like Tesla, they focus on the customer, they build what you need, like the batteries, selfdriving, lower prices. but polestar is like BBC car company that only focus on brand building, they build the car with their own process, like lux materials, brand film, fashion prices.
@@vapor4den Look at the other concept cars of Polestar and how they came out at release date. Very little change, I have great confidence the production version will look like the concept here aswell
I´m happy to see that Clay modelling is still used to form a car unfortunately its getting less and less in the automotive industry due to cost cuts by the companies. It´s a great tool to have in the design process and to get the shape alive instead of having a dead surface Car made only out of CAD Data. It´s been a pleasure to work with Clay, and get the knowledge of how a surface should look like but now I´m also part of the digital industry and it´s so sad to see that most companies underestimate the quality of clay modelling as a part of the Design process.
Sorry for the random approach you seem to be an ambitious individual which gives me the idea to know if you’re open minded to look into a new way of generating an income,it may or may not be a fit for you, but if I send you some info would you check it out?
It looks like the wing on the hood is gone. It was so nice and clever. I wonder whether it actually functioned on the show car. Was it ever tested in the wind tunnel?
The clay model in episode 2 of the Precept documentary is an early model. The finished prototype has more features, like the front air duct that acts like a wing, integrated with the bonnet. This wing accelerates the air travelling underneath it and pulls the air stream down onto the car. Since the Polestar Precept is still in the vehicle development phase, the current prototype is made for display and has not been tested in a wind tunnel yet. Many more tests will be performed before Precept goes into production. Let us know if you have any further questions.
I really hope you can preserve a lot of the interior design. I know the door cards have to change and you have to use more conventional materials. But looking at the Hyundai Ioniq concept's interior compared to the production car, a lot was changed. Mercedes EQS concept was much more daring and flowing than the production car. I hope at least the dashboard area can be similar, seat materials, some of the other materials can be used and car keeps the floating armrests between the seats and on the doors. Thanks for the peak into the process of making a concept a production vehicle. Looking forward to the Polestar 3, the first Polestar designed production Polestar.

Good questions! We will have to look into how the clay is handled and get back to you. Have you checked out our additionals shop for a T-shirt? You can find it at additionals.polestar.com 🙌
Hi again! Some of the clay is sent to design schools for free to be used as training material. Unfortunately, the clay cannot be reused for new clay models, since it will never be 100% clean and as good to work with. However, we are always looking into improving this process 😊

Normal doors and a thick B-pillar according to the latest production images... So disappointing as that were the key features of the prototype. Concept meets reality I guess.

Love the car, but this is the second episode where they talk about the exact same things and are still playing around with clay. Was expecting something new.
Precept is perhaps the most elegant car human has built, well done Polestar 👍 🇸🇪
Dude its so sick i love it
What a compliment! Thank you so much 🙌
Nice! I am an airline captain. Love the way you look at planes. Keep up the good work.
I can't believe these videos are only three minutes. I could watch twenty minutes of this.

Stunning footage 😻
So amazing! I just hope a stroller will fit in the trunk. This would be so amazing to have as next family car :D
Glad to hear that! Details will be revealed in the years to come 😊
It will be a fastback. Shouldn't be a problem.

Love the elegant but sporty design, Exceptional!! I am a white body structure manufacturing specialist from extrusions. Looks amazing.
Always appreciate the incoming love and support 🙌
So... design first, engineer second...........can't say I find that very inspiring.
Hey 👋
I’m liking what I’m seeing so far!!
😊🙌
Can't wait for the next episode!!!
Glad you're excited! Can't wait to show you 😊
I appreciate this.👍
Looks fun . Hints of corvette and mazda 323 fastback from late 90's allways liked the mazdas shape. Just needed some width to give it some presence.

Where does one learn to sculpt cars?
Pure clay or is there another mixture?
3:04 I feel like that design is pretty close to polestar 3?
Wow amazing car
When will the next update come?
Soon 😊
@@PolestarCars Excited!
bonnet looks to low - will V8 fit .....
or may be it will be boxer 6....
Two questions - 1) What happens to the clays once finished? 2) Can I have a orange (fav colour) polestar (fav car brand) T shirt. Many thanks :)

I bet the clay people hates when the turtle neck or the goth guy comes into the studio
Hey 👋
Where's Episode 3? This came out late July and I'm writing this comment Nov 2.
On its way! Coming very soon 😊
Never thought I would buy a polestar. This will be my first once it's released!
Very glad to hear that you're interested in Polestar Precept 🙌

Nice! Please make it affordable too)
This will be a very expensive car. You're not going to get a car like this for a mainstream price.
@Polestar could you please add something like Tesla's Sentry Mode to your future cars? I don't want anyone to scratch my car please.
Thanks for the suggestion! Stay updated in our social channels for details on our future cars 😊
