If this is Polestar's idea of car design, then I'm dumping a lot more money into GGPI, because they can't fail. This is one of the most stunning car designs I've seen, and somehow, the production model looks even better than the concept...
Make this a lift-back with at least 300 miles of range and it's an instant buy.

This is what an electric car should look like. It is absolutely stunning. Somehow it manages to be eye grabbing and yet it has an understated elegance and presence nothing else has. I love how the Tesla, Lucid Air and Audi’s look but this one is just gorgeous. Now, make a 5 seater and let me buy it in the US.

I remember the first time I saw the Volvo S90 in person. I had never seen a vehicle with such presence and thoughtful design.
I feel this Polestar Precept (Polestar 5?), will illicit the same. The design looks ultra modern through the uninterrupted flowing surfaces.
The proportions; from the axle-to-dash ratio (beautiful rear-wheel drive distance), compliments with sharp and curvaceous bodywork.
The cohesive consistency of the thin bodywork above the side windows (below the A-pillar, stretching to the D-pillar).
There even appears to be a small light? Or chrome element, on the D-pillar where the window line ends. Such considerate detail.
The rear bumper looks resolute and unique. As electric cars don’t have exhaust, I’ve found the majority lack purposeful and satisfying detail here.
However, the curved body coloured/silver line that weaves through, contrasted with the volume of the deep black space, looks aerodynamic and filling.
Sorry for the essay! This has become my top anticipated reveal! Cannot wait to see the final! The rims look stunning too! Bravo team!

I wouldn’t mind paying $100k+ for this no matter the performance (I’d assume worst case is 400kw or ~530hp) if it had kept the original and polestar unique features as the precept (polestar 5 concept).
What tf happened to the interior for them to remove the camera mirror screens? And what happened that led them to get rid of the suicide doors? The round shape of the mirror most likely made them soften some of the hard edges from the precepts body lines to ensure the harmonious structure. I’m not sure why the Engineers had to change the suicide doors @1.17 because the rear seats are still singular and not conjoined to each other.
But what the f***!!! Why why why is the front wing removed!! That was the most distinct factor of the precept. It completely separated the car brand from everything else and was truly the Porsche competitor that Thomas ingenlath wanted! Now with the LiDAR removed from the top there isn’t much of a graphic separation from other manufacturers😡😖😣.
I believe Max missoni had a fantastic design with the precept. When I watched the video from polestar & koenigseggs “collab” discussion, it seemed like max and Thomas were so proud of what they made and I was so excited! Now It seems as if the engineering team couldn’t produce the unique features on a high volume scale, which is the reason for this polestar 5 looking bland compared to the precept.
I’m quite crushed seeing this video. Was gonna be a happy buyer of the polestar 5. I am waiting to purchase the polestar 3 SUEV, And now I’m not so optimistic seeing changes to the polestar 5. Noting that the polestar team stated they will base the design of their vehicles on the precept.
Anyways I still love the car but was heartbroken this morning. I hope the best for the team and their vision

0:34 It's all about the big picture and he doesn't look at any cars at all, could it be because he read Steve Jobs autobiography and in their comercial they also said they didn't look at other phones when they created the first iPhone!? Come on, his inspirations comes from everything else BUT CARS! SERIOUSLY! If you call being creative, copying someone else's work so be it, but all of it came from inspirations from Steve Jobs autobiography. Everyone since he passed that have read his biography knows it, even the way they present their stolen "creations". Come on, be original, that soft spoken, lady like talk presentation, as if you are telling a story, even the pause in between, the jestures and pretending that you are pausing to think of the next word, it is exactly what Steve Jobs and his comercials became famous for.
You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.
Steve Jobs story telling to sell a product was genious, but it has been overly done by every one from, car comercials to how to clean your toilet bowl presentations they speak with the same monotone voice as if they are in a funeral home buying a casket. Change it, originality ( 0 ZERO ) the car looks outdated and mimic to say the least. There are more real creative designs out there, but since these startups car companies hire their friends and their friends hire their friends, you guys end up designing/creating there very thing you trying to stay away from. 0:45 Lock yourself into a corner!

Geely has much of a "hands off" approach to Volvo and Polestar. More interesting is the work from Thomas Ingenlath and Maximilian Missoni (both from VW) that made Volvo to a success brand. Both the Polestar 1 and 2 are Volvo prototypes that never came true, but now when their hands are free to do whatever they want, these incredible cars come true. The Precept is a step even further. @@thesure1 hands off in the meaning of design. Both Volvo and Polestar have their headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. Production in China makes the cars more affordable. If you have a problem with that, do something else with your money and let me pour mine over the best design of our time.

There is something off with the look. It seems like an amalgamation of cars rather than a stand alone design. Just me, but it’s not working to my eye.

I hope a different approach will be for new type cars. software update, option to buy engine power enhancement by transfer of $ while maintaining the warranty (software modification, not manual). The electric car is a completely different concept of the car. I hope that cars will be produced with the new concept, not like classic cars.
    GOOD LUCK POLSTAR
