Robbie might have been in the band longer but was only ever on one good album. Juan, despite his part in breaking up the band, was on all the good ones.
If I’m not mistaken, I think Juan wrote the majority of the material, especially on Out of the Cellar. I know Warren did some and same with Robbin on the original lineup material. Bobby Blotzer to me seems really vindictive and full of himself in interviews. That’s a shame.
To this day I can't believe the great band they had during Infestation...and how it all went to shit. Even though that album wasn't great overall other than a few tracks, they really were set for a great comeback...and, nothing. A real shame. Carlos in the band WITH Warren? Wow!
Bobby I’ve met a few times. Always chill and kind. Talks with you like you’ve known each other for years. He’s gotten a bad rap. He’s a really cool guy with exceptional talent.
I met bobby after a show in San bernardino about 15ish yrs ago......he took the time to talk to me. He was a nice guy....he didn't seem like he wanted to get the conversation over with.. I met pearcy after a show in temecula and lets just say maybe he wasn't having a very good night. I love this band and I think ALL the guys are terrific musicians. I hope I can see them all together again before someone gets an illness or something.
I'm 53 and was lucky to be in my young prime in the 80s and of course I saw many, many concerts in SoCal, and the worst one I ever saw was Ratt at the Forum in either 85 or 86. Pearcy was absolutely awful and even though Ratt was one of my favorite bands, I just couldn't stand another song.... It was the only concert that I ever left early in my entire life. < All that being said, I still love me some Ratt.... "You take the midnight subway train, you're calling all the shots......... "
Seems like they were kind of like that. They were the second act in front of Motley Crue with Accept being the first band to hit the stage on City Island in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania when they first toured nationwide. They sounded really good and I was impressed. But I’ve heard them at different other times during the 80’s and one they would sound absolutely awful, next time great, another mediocre. I could never figure that out. I’d say the partying had a lot to do with it. When they were bad, the timing would be all off, Stephen would take liberties on the vocals and it would throw everything off. Like I said though when they were on, they were tight and I still like their stuff to this day.
Under the dictionary definition of 'Male Karen' is an image of this guy. Dude, all you do is bag on people...you know, even George Lynch gave it a rest at some point.
I’ve seen RATT 12-13 times and this version of RATT is like the new Quiet Riot…👎 Without Stephen or Warren it’s not worth seeing. You can dog Stephens voice all you want but back in the days he was great! He is one of the nicest guys to meet, I got to hang with him with backstage when I was in my 20’s and later around 2010. There was no negative talking about anyone and we talked for at least an hour. I appreciate Blotzer trying to keep it alive but it just can’t be without some of the other guys.
How recent is this?! Heard weeks ago from Bobby that he's patched things with with Stephen & just last week read that Stephen wants to make a new Ratt album with the class of '84. Yet, here Bobbys takin' smack. What gives.
I'm surprised Bobby Blotzer was never offered (or accepted) a slot in another big band, or a real supergroup type situation. I think he is the best drummer of that era.
Bobby was badd ass back in the day. It's cool that he still has that drive to perform after all these years. You can honestly see he has a love for it and it's sorta sad that they have not been able to resurrect the great RATT of old.
No fan cares about your band drama. We weren’t there and there’s always two sides to any story and then there’s the truth. It’s sad to see bands that end up like Ratt or Queensriche. But the music was good and it will always hold a top spot in history and continue on beyond the lives of the artists. No matter how hard they crash the music will go on. This is your legacy. Not your drama. RIP Stephen. 😘😘🤘🤘Round and Round!
The problem with being in a band is the miscues of who wants to work and who doesn't. Often the person that was once motivated has decided creative benefit is not worth the effort. I don't know where this comes from but the business side is a drag. It is a ton of work but in the end definitely worth the effort. We need more of the opportunity to become successful. With Covid dying a death that never should have been created, we will see new growth. I am glad Bobby sees that too.

Met Warren and Bobby in NC after a show. Warren was awesome. Great guy. Took his time to talk and sign autographs and take pics. Bobby would not look at anyone, not talk to anyone and refused to sign or take pics. Wouldn’t walk across the street to see him or his crap version of “Ratt”.
Maybe dude wasn't having the best day, I'm sure we've all had our sour moments.
Robbie might have been in the band longer but was only ever on one good album. Juan, despite his part in breaking up the band, was on all the good ones.
Could you by chance fill me in on Juan's role in the break-up?
If I’m not mistaken, I think Juan wrote the majority of the material, especially on Out of the Cellar. I know Warren did some and same with Robbin on the original lineup material. Bobby Blotzer to me seems really vindictive and full of himself in interviews. That’s a shame.
To this day I can't believe the great band they had during Infestation...and how it all went to shit. Even though that album wasn't great overall other than a few tracks, they really were set for a great comeback...and, nothing. A real shame. Carlos in the band WITH Warren? Wow!
Try to find three musicians who speak highly of Bobby Blotzer.
My friends saw them at the Forum for that show. They said that the opening band, Bon Jovi, got booed off the stage. Is that true?
This happens to all bands at some point. It just does. Make the best of it.
He's slowly morphing into Mickey Rourke
*Phylis Diller*
Dude! Your 62 years old, it's OK to drop the mascara / hair color / bald guy bandana. This guy is an AARP member!
He was always my favorite member in Ratt. He's a great showman. Why does ego ruin great bands? 🙁
MONEY !! THAT'S WHY
He looks like one of those freaky characters from the Dethklok cartoons.🤣
I was thinking that too! haha
@@image30p Snakes n' Barrels!!!🤣
@@stanky9875 Lol! "It's chilling."
Warren is one of the greatest guitar players of all time. back hand hard slap!
fastest fingers in the West!
About a 1000 guitarist disagree
@@jack_schitt7484 along with the 50000 that actually agree.
How recent is this?! Heard weeks ago from Bobby that he's patched things with with Stephen & just last week read that Stephen wants to make a new Ratt album with the class of '84. Yet, here Bobbys takin' smack. What gives.
This has to be a few years old as Blotzer lost the lawsuit to Warren and the rest of Ratt, around 2 ish years ago.
That's what I was thinking. He lost
Without Stephen Pearcy it isn’t RATT. It was his band. He drove the whole thing, with the others of course, to where it hit big.
And Robbin Crosby
I'm surprised Bobby Blotzer was never offered (or accepted) a slot in another big band, or a real supergroup type situation. I think he is the best drummer of that era.
The reason is because you are wrong about him. I hope that helps?
Love Ratt. This now sounds more like Spinal Tap!
Bobby did not get songwriting credit for any of the hits so he made a lot less money than Stephen and Warren. That’s why Bobby needed to tour.
My son went to see Bobby live and after the show let him on the bus. Very cool dude.
Bobby must go to the same gym as Vince Neil
LOL
Vince Neil's classic hit, "Shout at the Deli!"
The irony 🤣here is that I got off UA-cam to watch the Hoarders episode of the Poo 💩 Lady... again.
Amazing that you posted this publicly.
Bobby was badd ass back in the day. It's cool that he still has that drive to perform after all these years. You can honestly see he has a love for it and it's sorta sad that they have not been able to resurrect the great RATT of old.
Dude's a waste
Chatted with Bobby today. Nice guy.
I just finished playing a set with him. Neat.
well Warren probably invested his money and is retired by now 🤷♂️
Hes a fantastic drummer
average......lets be honest
@@King5150Ed i like his playing
Out Of The Cellar was a very 🔥 album with great drumming also 🤘
This would be a better channel if the entire interview can be seen/heard in one sitting.
Why cut these interviews up into segments?
Keep Rat rolling dude
Ratt is one of the few 80's bands I would pay money to see today. Killed it every album for awhile. Figure it out fellas....
The Blotz Bobby Blotzer 🤘🏻🥁
Solid and mature. Keep going 💪🏼
I gotta say, these guys got trapped in a look that didn't fare well with age🤘
The problem with being in a band is the miscues of who wants to work and who doesn't. Often the person that was once motivated has decided creative benefit is not worth the effort. I don't know where this comes from but the business side is a drag. It is a ton of work but in the end definitely worth the effort. We need more of the opportunity to become successful. With Covid dying a death that never should have been created, we will see new growth. I am glad Bobby sees that too.
God, there's nothing i have to see more than a man in his 60s dressing like he's in his 20s. Especially when they were in 80s hair bands in their 20s.
Well maybe they should consult you before they go shopping for clothes. You can tell everybody what they can wear.
The Glam-Grandpa Halloween costume, coming soon to a Walmart near you! (The 80's are over, let it go)
Isn't it amazing that you feel superior to another adult because of their clothing choices? Imagine how shallow that is? Then you feel justified in posting that in public for all of eternity? Yeah. For sure you are a better human than Bobby... Redditor I presume?
I don't feel superior to anyone, but a 65 year old man wearing mascara is just a little bit creepy.
RATT is a great classic metal band. Thanks. (🤘) !
Crazy stories, Bobby’s a beast on the drum kit..
Beast tag goes to John Bonham, Neil Peart, Bill Bruford.....not this guy LOL
R.I.P. to ROBBIN CROSBY who passed away 20 Years Ago Today at Age 42
Underrated drummer
Not really, and i love Ratt, but Blotz is VERY average
A TRUE Rocker! 🤘😈🤘
Super cool dude! Got the chance to share a bucket of beer with him on the Motley Cuise in 2008 on the pool deck at 2 AM.
Ive been jaming ratt since 1980 something ive seen them in big open air to drinking with them in pub/bar. Gigs
I will kinda let ya slide on the eye liner but Gloves during an interview, c'mon man!
Rock on Bobby. Now that I know the story I'm glad you are doing your thing. I would go see you and the RATT Experience. Why do bands not stay together?
Same reason marriages dont last, egos, money, personality conflicts. You litteraly live with 3 -5 guys for mnths, farting , belching, pissing , eating , stinking , and arguing in close proximity.
Don't worry Bobby, by age 72 the band will be back firing on all cylinders. Ratt was my #1 band in the 80s. Still enjoy their remastered CDs. But dude, enough! The drummer does not make Ratt! Retire.
If u can’t remember who played bass, call Biden cause he’s looking for his memory!! It’s Juan just in case!!
This dude turned out to be a real self righteous TOOL!!
My next job interview, I'm wearing drummer gloves
