That disk mulcher can do some damage..It throws debris in all directions which makes it less predictable.

Incredible performance from these heavy-duty machines!
Looks like it works best by pulling material inside on the notched half of the deck. Keeping your passes to the right half would stop the crazy debris launching also.
WOW! That will move some merchandise. I know the drum does a finer job, but that will flat get it out of the way.

I saw that disk and said it will never do near the job as a drum. well I was wrong. it did a great job and was impressed. I can see where that thing would be a beast on the right job site. I wish you would show the bottom of this thing and show us all the teeth on the bottom. looks like it will have lines of teeth on the bottom as well. great video.
That thing is definitely wicked when it comes to the stumps. It just flattened those in seconds. That would be perfect for stump grinding. I was seriously impressed. It didn't even seem to slow down at all. It seems to throw some things stuff worse than the drum mulcher, but it sure was fun to watch. See you later.

That baby is a bushing killer too. I saw that loader arm flex and shift a few times. It will crack those pivot bushing tubes faster than a drum will. Careful id def put it on a cheap skid steer😊

Sad to see loggers ignore property lines. My dad logged for 40 years. Never had that problem. Know what you are doing or don't do it.

Each one of your machines has some advantage that they are best suited for. They are all fun to watch. I liked the other video where you were sucking down some pretty good sized trees with a Rut disc mulcher. I'm looking forward to seeing more videos with this one. I love your filming and your minimal narration.
You’re right about not munching around any right always, buildings, or by standers cause that SOB slings crap all different ways. 😂 dose a pretty good job at land leveling too 😂

I have great respect for all those operators of various equipment used to prepare land for their clients.
My comments are technical and not a criticism of any operator of mulching equipment.
When will the OEM providers of mulching equipment design a solution that is capable of mulching everything in its path in one pass?
I have operated mulchers myself and it is really frustrating having to go over the same ground, because of stumps, long grasses and fallen trees.
I look at operators having to go back and forth over ten to twenty yards of ground until they are satisfied with the material on the ground.
The current equipment in my opinion is light weight and wastes so much time and fuel to achieve the finished result.
Are the OEM equipment providers even aware of these inefficiencies?
I recently viewed a Cat D3 dozer with a heavy duty Cat mulcher on it, and it too goes back and forth as the tractors and skid steers do. Surely there is a huge opportunity to engineer a solution to complete one pass mulching where the residue is match stick size particles?

This cutter head reminds me of a brush hog head we used to use on our company skid steer, did just as good of a job. Maybe a little faster. Looks like this one would be really dangerous for anyone around on the outside.
Seems this AND a drum would be the perfect tag team for some jobs. Blizt with the disc and refine with the drum.

Looks like it is better suited for brush rather than tree limbs and logs. It does make for finer mulch as far as I can tell. The drum unit seems to do a better job on stumps and larger tree limbs. Only you know how much faster you can complete a job using this unit and in the end time is money.
Obliterator is the name that comes to my mind. Not a residential head but seems great for in the country. Wow.
Davin just how far away will You travel away from Home. Before it doesn't pay to do the Job. And do You add in the mileage into the Job.
That mulcher is a destructive machine on that type of area - not suitable for all areas however. Good on the manufacturers too.

The same thing happened to my parents with the logging encroachment many years ago. Logging company ended up having to pay triple the going rate for every tree they took over the line.

Would love something like this but my skid steer is a low flow (15-18 gpm) and most of them won't run with that level of flow. AST is out of my range.
They have a 48" skid steer disc mulcher that is for standard flow machines! They rate this mulcher from 17-50 gpm so give them a call and they should be able to hook you up! 336.628.8649

I hope they pay BIG time for all the damage they did to your parents property! Ok, Personally I know you like this type of mulcher, but I think Personally it is not as good as the mulcher that you have with the Drum. THIS thing just throws crap all over the place and The drum type actually chews brush and trees up a bit more., though I can see advantages to having this on open property.. Just my option. Still enjoyed the video.
