- 椰丝球,马来文Ondeh-ondeh(娘惹名称)指的是团团圆圆,是一道非常道地的马来西亚传统娘惹糕点,峇峇娘惹是早期中国商人与当地马来女子通婚后演变成的后裔。
娘惹风味在槟城、马六甲及新加坡美食中是数一数二的有名糕点,也是喜事必备的糕点之一。番薯椰丝球裹著融化的黑糖,再沾上椰丝,一口咬下去,椰丝的香味和濃郁的黑糖瞬間爆漿而出,好滋味啊!
马来西亚叫法:Ondeh-ondeh - 椰丝球
印尼叫法:klepon
文莱叫法:kuih pancit
皮料 : Skin
半粒 椰丝 - shredded coconut from ½ coconut
125 g 糯米粉 - 125 g glutinous rice flour
25克 木薯粉- 25 g tapioca flour
1 湯匙幼糖 - 1 tbsp castor sugar
50ml 滚烫水 - 50ml hot water
80克 紫番薯 - 80 g Purple sweet potato
80ml 椰浆水 - 80ml coconut milk
1 湯匙油 - 1 tbsp Oil
配料: Ingredients
70克 黑糖- 70g brown sugar
30克 白糖 - 30 g sugar
(冷藏两小时) - chill in the freezer for two hours

Here I also have something that I would like to share with you.For the brown sugar and white sugar part you can add a little water (1or 2 teaspoon) and mix until wet sand like, then you can use your measuring spoon to scoop it out on plate and freeze it until firm enough to wrap with dough.

I like onde onde.
Nyonya usually use gula melaka instead of brown sugar to make the fillings because gula melaka is more fragrant and taste different from normal sugar. Not sure you have tried before. However, nowadays it is hard to find real gula Melaka. Those sold in stores sometimes are mixed with white sugar.

Enjoy watching your videos, auntie Liew! I tried your recipe. The 2nd time I tried, the Glutinous Rice Flour was reduced and I added more sweet potatoes instead. This tasted better. Brown sugar was too sweet and so I used Gula Melaka instead. Thank you for your tutorial!

When I scooped up the ondeh ondeh n mixed with coconut then eat, the gula melaka burst. Then after it's cool down the gula melaka became hard. May I know what's the problem?

I just made this morning! I kept the sweet potatoes overnight bcos couldn't buy coconut on the same day. I followed your recipe but didn't add oil. At the end, didn't taste much of the sweet potatoes. Can I reduce Rice GF and add more sweet potatoes? Also filling didn't 'burst' when i ate them. Was it due to the tightness when rolled into a ball?
