in an ideal world they would have gotten the person who did the eorzea cookbook to write up a little turali recipe book instead of the journal + a krile statue
1:23:01 iirc the mystic said that it was a combination of the Mamool illusionary technique that animated Galool Ja Ja and electrope. So...I don't think electrope on its own could recreate Juno
oh cool, the mobile game gets to be the scapegoat for "ffxiv bad now". SE already doesn't want to re-invest in 14 like it needs to so i while i think the main game is more or less safe from direct resource leeching, i sincerely doubt any of the money they get will go back into 14 to make it better. i'll definitely try it when it launches, but i have an actual mmo to play! gotta get those 600 bicolor gemstone portrait kits. there's so many. anyway, my turali travel agency hoodie arrived and it's fantastic! grats to krile for being the biggest visible character on the back. it still needs to get put through the wash but the fabric felt really soft and comfy. hopefully it'll actually be cold bc i'm looking forward to wearing it around.
The devs being involved with the mobile game if only in supervising part still means that they spend time with it. Whoever thinks that the mobile game won't have any impact on the main game is honestly naive. Be it time of the devs, the main game implementing mechanics that are easy to translate to mobile or (and yes I can't believe Isay that) positive things learned by mobile being implemented in the main game. All in all though I only see a bigger cashshop in the future and almost only negative effects... I think Happy had the right opinion on it. No one can fault western players for being cautious for a mobile game.
I bet the mobile version is going to be purely story and story dungeons. No side quests and no hard content. Very very limited multiplayer interaction, something like 16 players on screen at max. Classes will play like the role play of the main party characters in the msq, 4 buttons. Most likely the grind will be daily quests and grinding for whatever bs premium currency is(its free theres some bullshit in there somewhere). I won't play it, i guess its something to try if u do a lot of commuting or traveling and have no access to a computer.
I still don't get WHY they decided to put the mount on the second rank up for Pelupelu. There's pretty much no incentive to do the questline past that unless you want to get the eventual allied quests. Which I personally do, but it sucks that I have nothing to look forward to for most of the grind.
Well you can get critical hit materia and sell it on the market board and the quests themselves are really fast so you will be done with 3 dailies in 8 minutes
I agree with Rollo about the XI references being a bit too "amusement park". The Vana'diel we see in XIV *feels* like a video game world, one of the notes you find in the duty says "I'm going to be late for the SPAWN". I refuse to believe the characters in this world talk like that, that's how players of a videogame talk but I cannot believe real people in that world would say things like"spawn timers" or "getting loot from a boss". To me that feels like more of a slap than the Nier stuff appearing out of nowhere because even if it's just random characters from Nier at least they don't remind me that they're from a videogame.
It’s cause no one wants it. I’m trying to sell my CE box. I hated DT. If it weren’t for the gameplay, I would have unsubbed. I play this game for the story at launch. Was so let down by the “writing”.

I think this is the only time Rollo has talked about a mobile game without the others yelling or getting angry at him.

I prefer it this way. They take a few minutes tops to do daily. At max in no time.

I think Sareel Ja fell into an Alexandrian MMO and thought it was a real world. A meta-Isekai?
