Nice to see you all again, you've been missed. Nice Maule. Nothing lasts forever, better days are coming and when they do lets all take to the blue sky and enjoy. Cheers Good luck in 2021
Beautiful aircraft Drew--and awesome shop. Great idea to put it off a municipal airport--too much bureaucratic bullshit with municipalities and trying to do restoration/maintenance. Been there, done that. Used to fly 135 charter out of Anchorage, back in the 1990s. Also was my dad's CFI in his M4-210...no toe brakes on the right side. Yay, fun. You guys do outstanding work in that shop--thanks for making & uploading these videos!
Which of all those mods are factory, or STC? Is this still a certificated aircraft or Experimental? There are a ton of mods on that beautiful machine, just wondering how you get that past the federales and register the thing.
Hi William. This Maule ended up having around 20 modifications. The majority of the modifications where done through factory mod kits. You can check out the list of mods on Maules website at www.mauleairinc.com/parts. This is a certified aircraft.
So I noticed the angled wrinkles in the underside wing skins inboard of the struts. My wings are off my maule because its getting some repairs. I believe my left wing has those wrinkles but the right one doesn't. Everything is square but I still wonder what causes those. It bothers me lol You can really see them at 13:28
Hi James. The older models were built flat and the washout was rigged into them with the lift struts, causing the wrinkles. The only way to get rid of the wrinkles would be to reskin the wings and build the washout into them.
It good to see you guys again

What a inspiration. Quick question, did the plexiglass on the doors come from Maule, or did you source it from another supplier.... thickness?
