I taught all four of my children to do basic hand stitches before they left home. (2 boys 2 girls) they also learned to check fluids and fill when needed them in the car. They all knew how to change tires, they knew how to cook. As a single mother of 4 I knew they needed an education but I needed them to have the basics too and their friends were teaching them street smarts with me sanding down the rough edges!

This is the first stitch I recall using. I didn’t even know it had a name. I thought it was just sewing. 😂 ohhhh the 1992 hand stitched quilted pillow. I would love to show you.
