      Not road rage but likely roid rage..... When I was in we had a body builder in the group of us during training. Nobody went near him on Mondays, because that was the day after he had his roid shots. When the local big race came up we joked that we should enter him in it. Not as a jockey, as we did have the one skinny guy who could be that, but as the horse.

    Story 2: If the brother actually asked op and as well as soon to be wife before the wedding, then it wouldn't be a jerk move to propose on their wedding day if they say yes. But odds are he knew op would say no, so yeah, still a jerk move and op is in his rights to fire him for this betrayal.
    Story 3: I just love it that the people wanting save money but only ends up losing a lot more than they are saving. If anything, if op made the right move and odds are that supervision got chewed out badly. Yeah, nepotism wouldn't get that type of people fired but they will be bashed to the ground for making a huge lost when it comes to money.
    Story 4: Ok, feels like Liz is being racist for pair her bride's maid with some random get who is the same race as Kelly. So, what a guy can't meet someone at an event and make friends. I think Liz just wanted to play match maker and have this plan that she brought Kelly and op together at their wedding.🙄 Those women didn't want op interacting with no other women other that Kelly. I am glad that Tom at least warned Liz not to try to hook Kelly up with op and saw how dumb of a plan it was and was on op's side.

    Story 4:
    I will tell you my version of the something similar that happened with me, but inverse:
    I am black, and I went to a family get together. In secret I am dating someone, and she is white. Similar age differences. I was 43 at the time, and she was 29. My family is well aware that I was a "late bloomer", because through much if my High School and part of college as well as during my time in the military, I did not prioritize dating or women. I come from one of those stereotypical families that many of the men had multiple children by different women, and a lot of the women had multiple children by different men. I've pledged to myself to be married to whom I have children with. Back to the event... Both myself and my girlfriend kept our relationship a secret for our own personal reasons. Not because of anything that could be construed, we both work a lot of hours in our perspective careers. My family known me to be a bit picky about who I closely associate with, and constantly attempt to set me up, which always ends in disaster. My brother-in-law always thought that he was older than me, because he looks older, but truth be told, I am 3 years older than him, and dont care. The fact is, I look younger and no kids, gives up that impression. He is married to my stepsister (we dont see ourselves as such, considering we grew up together, and I am treated as the brother she never had. He attempts to set me up with one of his cousins, seeing as we are not related at all. This person is about 32, and as far as I can tell, her hobbies are limited to smoking weed and getting drunk. I've seen her a few times at get togethers, and every time, she was always drunk and high. Mind you, I am a hardcore libertarian, and don't care if someone else has that as their prerogative, but because I am a CPL (Concealed Pistol License) Instructor, and maintain a Class A CDL, I do not partake. I rarely drink, even though I have a wine and liquor stock that can easily be valued over $10,000. Anyways, he put her up to it, and I outright rejected her advances. Later, the same evening, I was getting ready to leave (I lived about 10 minutes drive from where my sister lives (Side note, I am very secretive of where I live, and my stepsister has a vague idea of where I live. It is a nearby suburb of her city, but is very tiny. Very quiet, because the majority of the adult population is over age 55, and is about 70% white. Her city is 40% White, but still the majority... Either way, my stepsister understands why, and that is because I just want quiet and not too many uninvited guests, and my family has a nasty habit of being invasive and dropping in, unannounced at weird times of day or night). I hadnt paid attention to that woman for the duration, after I had rejected her, only for her to follow me to my pickup truck, and beat on my window. I cracked it, and she had asked me if I could give her a ride home, seeing as though she claimed to have no way home. I tried stalling, and eventually relented to giving her a ride home (future event gave me info that she did in fact have a ride, but the person giving her a ride told her to try again with me, by asking me for a ride home, in order to be alone with me, as a means to attempt to seduce me). Mind you, it was the middle of summer, I rolled down the windows because it was relatively cool, and the AC was unnecessary. She kept complaining about how hot it was, so I said that I could roll up the window and turn on the AC. She exclaimed "No!", as she proceeded to take off her shirt in my car. She had no bra on. Being a stone-faced person, I did not react (besides, my GF's boobs were a lot better looking, and hers looked like eggs on a wire), She tried numerous times to get my hand off the shift knob (yes, Millennial anti-theft, Chad Manual Transmission) to place my hands on her floppy chesticles... I immediately stopped the car and said, "You know what, we are less than 5 minutes walking distance from your house, you can walk the rest of the way!" She pleaded for me to not kick her out of my car. I then said, "If that is the case, put your F-ing shirt back on, and calm down!". She did just that. When I pulled up to her house in the largest City next county over, she asked me if I could help her take some bags (filled with food leftovers from the party), to her house. I agreed with the stipulation that i was taking it only ro the porch, and am leaving. She agreed. When I took the bags to the porch, she blurted out that she could "rock my world and change my mind", and I laughed in an obnoxiously arrogant way, and said, "Lady, you have issues that I cant help you with. You haven't a chance in hell to make me change my mind. Have a nice night....", and I left. Fast forward 2 weeks, and my family was having our "once per month family dinner", where my stepfather (retired, late 60's) and mother would cook and myself, my two brothers (who are twins), my stepsister with her husband, my biological sister and her kids, as well as a host of other kids would come over. The house is full with around 20-25 close family members. And the brother-in-law brought up how I flatly rejected his cousin's advances. He asked "What's up with that?!? You are single, you're not gay, and you had a chick ready to jump your bones at any moment, and you denied her?". I sighed in an exasperated tone... "(Insert name), you know what? She was just not my type!" My biological sister had met one of my ex girlfriends who was from Brazil. My sister exclaimed, "Well, he was dating this one white woman (she had no idea my ex was Brazilian), with HUUUUGE knockers and an hourglass figure..." My mom interjected, "As far as I know, he just dont like black women....". At this point, I just facepalmed. I blurted out, "I don't give a shit about race. I am all about personality, and the personality type I am attracted to, is rare among black women!". I turned my head to my biological sister (she is 12 years younger than me, so she was 31 at the time), "You should know.... I dated your hoghschool and college friend, (name starts with M, and she is an anime and videogame nerd... Not a weeb, but just a nerd who loved 1990's anime), she is black, I liked her personality, but she could take or leave my personality, and we remained friends." Then I turned my head forward and stared into nothing, while stating loudly (my family knows this about me, considering my military history, that if I stare blankly at no one, and speak loudly, this is addressed to everyone within hearing distance), "I prefer nerdy type women, and not party girls. I cant stand women who's impression to me, is to get high and drink. That woman was a stereotype to me, and in no way am I interested in that. I do not want this in my life, because it would jeopardize my way of living. I am actually seeing someone, and in due time, you will meet her. Until that arrangement has been met, i am done with this subject.". My family was in disbelief, and demanded that I show them a picture, stating the childish, "Picture or she doesnt exist", nonsense. I did have one selfie of us sitting on the couch together, that she had taken, and she text messaged it to me, a few months back.... I proceeded to show them. "Called it! He only likes white women", my mother exclaimed. I facepalmed, and said, "Did you not hear what I said? I dont give a shit about race. I have you know, we met at her job (she is the store manager), and we began talking about Ninja Turtles, when I remarked how she resembled April O'Neil from the 1980's cartoon, and she was amused by that, because she was a huge fan of all of the Ninja Turtles versions, and that she collects the old school action figures. As a gift, I went to a comic book store to find an old school Ninja Turtle action figure, and once I gave it to her, *SHE asked me out!"* Everyone fell silent. After what seemed an eternity, My stepfather blurted out, "Well, did you see that game earlier today (it was sunday), our team got beaten horrendously....." I remained largely silent for the majority of the dinner. My Brother-in-law approached me as I was leaving, and said, "Dude, you didnt have to be so intense... I don't mind the fact that you rejected my cousin, I just want to be like a big brother, and look out for you....", being the snarky A-hole that I can be, I asked him, "(insert name), How old is your wife?" He replied, "44, you know this...." I continued, "How much older than you, is she?" He said, "Well, she is 4 years and 3 months older... Why?", I replied, "She is only 8 months older than me. Respect your elders." His eyes bulged like saucers, as I turned and walked away.
    Yes, I was the jerk.

    That last story is just awful- The OP isn't responsible for her and the mom is being way overbearing and clingy. It's understandable that she's having a hard time, but OP isn't her therapist.
    In my opinion, regardless of your kid's age, making them your personal therapist as a parent is the worst thing you can do, and the OP isn't the jerk for that.

    For number 5 with all that shit the mom is talking id just block her because idc how much you are grieving the second you try to guilt trip me into anything i will immediately stop caring about any sadness your feeling because guilt tripping isnt something i will tolerate even a little bit

      Possible he did, Article 15s are a much quicker process as well as only the first step. Could still be separated and OP just doesnt have any update on that yet. He could also be referred too court martial. On the same note though, I'm slightly laughing to myself about OP saying UMCJ and calling it a court as well.

    WOW after the reaction in the video and the comments I am questioning humanity lol. Is this an American thing, that your wedding day can not be nice for anyone but you?! I would be happy about my brother proposing at my wedding, it would make it so much more special lol (i would have discussed it beforehand tho).

  • @gigglesgaming131
    @gigglesgaming131 Рік тому

    Story 2: No, there's no two sides to the story. The brother is the asshole plain and simple. You don't expect to or request to propose at someone else's wedding. It's 100% selfish. But yes the op is still wrong for carrying out a wrongful termination under retaliation. Severance aside, if your brother was any bit intelligent regarding labor and employment laws. You'd be in some decent trouble if he contacted a lawyer. Termination through retaliation is not covered under 'at will employment' and it would be easily proven in court why your brothers employment was terminated.
