This really explains a lot regarding all of their 2017 comeback and I’m assuming the start of a new red velvet era. 2017 was probably meant to be their transitional year where they literally started the year with a song named “rookie” and then had their red flavor comeback which like this video explains is the sort of transitional period in between youth and adulthood and then we got “peekaboo” - which was a complete change of character for them. And they seem to be continuing that sort of concept and acceptance of adulthood in 2018 (at least for now) with “bad boy”. It honestly just fits really well....
