Hey guys, whether the translation of the book title is right or wrong, I think it's still a play on the real life book. So the point was what it meant to the girls. (In this theory at least!)
And thanks to those who pointed out that it could be a prequel to Peek-A-Boo and that the end of this dance is the beginning of Peek-A-Boo's!

( they are a girlgroup of 12 members that didnt debut yet the company that is making them is debuting each individual member with her own mv song and there will be 3 sub units there are 11 members revield and two sub units atm and there is a huge story or plot even a universe called loonaverse lmao it would be grate if you could jump in the theories and give your opinion ! the music is soo unique too and the mv is so high quality oml )*ALSO your theories are great!!😆*
I am french, and you can't do a good translation because the title book (write in french) is not good and have gramatical error. I don't no if i'ts will or not but it s wrong, at french we say : Ce ne sont pas des lèvres or Ceci n'est pas une lèvre
But no : Ceci n'est pas de La Levre
because 1. you havre not a majuscule charactere (i don't no the transation, it is a the big letter as A or B ≠ a or b)
2. You can not use 《de La Levre》, you use : une lèvre
3. It s strange to say just for ONE lip and not the lips.

My M/V theory, after killing the last pizza delivery boys in the city, the RedVel squad pack their things to move out of the city.
They take the pizza guys' tips ( Seulgi's' money gun) and they drive a stolen pizza delivery truck(red Chevy) up north (hence the suitcases and the snowy road).
They move into another house in another city (all of the furniture still have plastic wrap over them) so they can begin their sacrificing ritual again to kill off more pizza guys.
Now I better pack my bags, because I'm moving up north to become a pizza delivery guy so I can hang out with Red Velvet.

Bish did I ask? Well, she may not have known. Also, she could be a feminist, but not support gay rights. Also, sasaengs are pretty accurate. I mean, they have predicted exact comeback dates (before announced), and military dates (also before announced).
Random thought : since a lipstick mark is often viewed as something very feminine, and as there seemed to be some LGBT scenes in this mv ( not completely sure if they were meant to be interpreted like that but whatever) and heterosexuality is generally considered to enclose all people until they state otherwise in modern society, maybe the ' this is not a lip' idea was meant to show that, as with 'ceci nest pas une pippe' things are not always as they seem - it could have been intended to represent the girls and the fact that though we assume otherwise, they are gay? And maybe their growth in confidence and boldness (and individuality as characters tbh) is meant to represent them being more comfortable with themselves - the burning if the camera could mean the rejection of society's views and expectations of them as celebrities?
Ok ik I'm pushing it now but maybe the mannequins are all the blind dumb people who still won't accept them for who they are and the whole suitcase and gun motif was meant to show them struggling with this - the suitcase showing them initially trying to run away from who they are/ whoever it is that is hurting them ( actually that makes more sense with the fact that they are running away as a group - they may want to find somewhere where they can be together) and the gun showing them then becoming very defensive and angry
And maybe the whole KILL THE PIZZA BOYS thing is supposed to reflect their actions after they realized that they preferred women and their anger at all the trash men in their lives who had hurt them for nothing because they wouldn't have stayed with them anyway gldtkzfjmhb idk man I just want the gay stuff to be true bc omg that is the best thinggggg these queenz

This actually makes a lot of sense and the whole iconic Yeri saying I like Girls... Generation, makes more sense too, there might be more there then what meets the eye!
In the final scene I think it’s where they have balanced with their innocence (witch is their weakness) and strength. Cause I’m this video he said about red representing strength and white representing innocence and when those two colours mix it comes with pink. So in the final ending I think it’s balance and realisation.

I MAY be mistaken but I believe the lyrics you are using are actually wrong...I saw a more recent video with english subs and the translation of the song made WAAY more sense. At least the meaning of the song but the MV could have another...

its true that it has a different translation in MV's. In english, We follow the SVO structure but in korean we use the SOV structure. So,If you read the translations in MV's It doesnt seem to be the meaning.
But the english version of Bad Boy tho its confusing

I loved this theory.
First I want to point out that the reference is to a painting, not a book, called "The Treachery of Images". Which is what I focused on in the beginning too!
I don't speak Korean so I couldn't piece together the different sections part, but I agree with your interpretation!
My first instinct though, without knowing the lyrics, is that Magritte talks about how an image of something can never be that thing. so the image of a Bad Boy is just that, perception, not reality. Falling into the trope of women wanting to change bad boys to dateable good boys.
Also I first thought it said "Livre" which means book, and would explain why the pages are empty when we see them reading by the table (a bit on the nose, this is ACTUALLY not a book) ...why do you think that is tho? Why are the pages blank if it says lèvre?
But I like how you put the book together with the white and red (again Red is strong, Red is also in their group name) to form a completely different interpretation, frankly a better one than my initial thought! Ill take Empowerment over outdated tropes any day!
