I’m starting to understand auctions now, thanks to Lee, and these videos. Some of these cars do seem quite expensive though, considering the amount of work needed to re sell them at a profit.
you have the right ingredients Lee, thats why your channel is doing so well mate. I was poking around in a breakers yard this afternoon (Ford related) and noticed some really bad structural corrosion issues with FIAT 500 / Ford KA on the front ends, plenty of them in that yard. was really surprised considering how they are quite modernish cars. those 1.4 tdci Ford Fusions are a bit under powered and agricultural by todays standards BUT they're great little cheap-all-the-way luggers with the potential to go on forever if they're treated half right.
There was a real mixture there Lee. Some proper dogs like the type R.....that was in rough shape. I hope whoever put the provisional online bid in didn't get it because they would have been gutted with the state of the bodywork. The fusion at the end was a steal....nobody is going to worry about minor bodywork in that particular market. Nice one Lee.

cars go to auction mainly because they are not good enough to retail or they need work and have faults, if you buy from auction you accept the problems and then fix them, however what warranty can you give them, it is always a gamble
Love your videos Lee , auctions may get a bit mundane for you but for somebody not in the business but really like cars in general, these videos are really great.

As a car trader who attends auctions, it amazes me how people treat their cars. I mean have some pride as you drive around rather than in a dented, and scratched up heap. They would probably get more when coming to part exchange if they fix any damages and obviously makes our lives easier when trying to re sell them. I turn away soo many cars because of their condition or lack of history. Anyway, that type r is quite rare in white but it’s been abused and you can tell as they all have been.
I used to care about my cars, then I had a family, and realised that there is way more to life than a piece of metal. I’ve had my 13 plate caddy for 5 years, gone from 40k to 115k and it’s battered. 🤷🏻♂️ it earns me enough cash not to worry about dents and scratches.

Reason why I ask is because it has 176K mileage but is MOTED till Feb next year but has loads of advisories, however, has loads of paperwork. It does have black alloy wheels & low profile tyres, which were originally around a grand, is immaculate inside & out. No faults or issues at all. Yeah I Do Like A Fireside Car Auction Video L.O.L.
Don't you ever go to the one in rotherham, mags I think it's called used to be at Bawtry loved that place,go get a car chippy next to it,fuel up at the garage on way home in New car 🚗 😂
Will look into that one, sounds like my sort of auction next to a chippy
Yes bud, Bawtry back in the day was buzzing, the auctioneer would make an announcement if the police were about pulling people, once bought a royale, opened the bonnet, very stiff, it was actually supporting the inner wing!
Yes it's a shame it moved,I've had many a good night there,I've not been since it moved but due a new car so maybe a visit is long over due 😀 sounds like you bought a shed there pal 🤣🤣🤣
@@thedoppelganger2665 be about 1989 mate, remember putting my mk1 capri thru, they put it in first car and it did 100 quid, broke down quite a few times on the A1 going back, went every week more or less.
How come you don't go to BCA?
Fee structure is poor and you need to buy so many cars to get a reasonable fee level its not worth me going down that route. I do go to other auction sites and will be filming at other sites in the coming weeks
That Type-R is battered lol!
Yes it was not a great example
what did the fiat 500 go for as you didn,t put the price up
£600 provisional
lee do you get see many jag xf s coming through btw ?
Yes I will film some on my next visit to aston barlcay
Excellent video as always Lee 👍
Thanks 👍
Hi Lee
Where is located it I just want to buy a car can you please guide me is it suitable to buy a car form auction for newly passed driving test.
Do you have to be a trader to go to these auctions or can anyone register/sign up to attend?
They do allow private customers in but you need to register on the day, you need 2 forms of ID and a returnable deposit.
Some paintwork horrors in that lot!
Yes seems to be more and more cars these days needing paint
Great idea going to new auctions Lee, We used to travel hundreds of miles to different auctions, hoping they would be cheaper, but they rarely were 😀 These days with internet bidding and the auctions computer systems, it must be even worse, Always enjoy your videos as it takes me back to some fun times 👍
Thanks Nicnak, I have enjoyed going to other auctions over the last week or so, also had some winners too. Videos will be out soon
Hey mate...who do you mean when you say "Coloured blind man"...Ray Charles...or Stevie Wonder?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Now Now, I mean a male man who cant see colour correctly, ask my dad. He came home once with a VW beettle which is said was blue, turned out to be bright orange 🙈
Find me a x4 good spec 😂
Do you do police auctions lee ?
I don't but I know of a few sales, I might attend one this year
Have you made a video/vlog of you actually selling a car or making profit,,??
Yes many, including my last vlog video the other day
How much are fees
At this auction for trade it would be around £160 for £1k purchase. Private I am not sure but would be alot more maybe £250 🤷
Lee that fiat 500 really did look like dog shit 😀😀
Horrid vehicle gary 😁
Good to see no young idiots walking around every car that's under the hammer lol
Didn't seem worth going to that one Lee?
Was just some left over footage from the last auction video, I did buy a couple of bits that day which are in the previous video. thanks for watching johnnie 👍👍

Superb video Lee buddy...U done right there keeping your money in your pocket on this extra footage from the last auction...u bought well at this auction on the last video and this extra stuff just seemed to need too much work doing to them making profit on them much less...Can't wait to see the next videos at other auction sites...maybe a change might see u pick up a few more crackers....Keep up the great work buddy...👍🏻👏🏻💪🏻
