This is great, absolutely GREAT !! Barnzy: "maybe you just threw it better" Stu: "well, there's that too" LMAO!! I just love this mic'd up shot for shot, jabbering the whole time, ball review. Warts and all!!! Yes, yes, YES!
This video definitely provided enough information for me to decide this ball belongs in my bag, and when I am ready to order it, I will use your link. To be honest, if they would have released this ball 2 weeks sooner, I would have bought it already vs my last ball. It should be perfect on the greasy lanes I bowl on.
I’m a lefty and I like it just have to get the hang of it, has no problem with this ball coming back to the pocket got a few bad breaks but overall I like.
Excellent EXCELLENT ball review guys!! talking through the shots makes it so much easier for people to understand! Very well done!.....ball looks good too!
Because the lanes are already pretty easy to start with, and the urethane will only end up making the cliff super huge. Hence making the night not so much fun for the rest of the pair.
So do you think the layout had anything to do with the obvious differences between you and Chris? Waiting on mine, and highly debating the layout choice!
Yes, i think my longer pin buffer (pin below) allowed mine to be more rounded and continuous than Chris’ ball. But obviously that will depends on rev rate and speed match up
Sorry for my lack of knowledge of urethane. I see you guys left of center and hooking the ball. I was under the impression that urethane is best used on burnt up lanes and more of a down and in. I'm I completely off in this? If so please educate. Thanks!!.. PS I based my bowling technique after Chris grown up!!
Urethane is best for controlling the pattern early on. It is actually at its weakest and least useful on the really burnt up shots. CONTROL is the main thing you get from urethane. The UC3 is just a really strong version of that, and another great piece to create earlier and smooth ball motion
YES!!! The UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
This is a perfect example of a "modern urethane" with a lot of flare. Most "urethanes" don't flare hardly at all. That's a huge difference right there. Because of said flare it didn't blow up the pattern as badly as a low flaring urethane.
The main difference from usual higher flaring urethanes though, this on doesn’t hook and go forwards. It actually continued. I was very skeptical that this would be the case, but having thrown it for a little while, I don’t need see this being a problem!!
The urethane cover is not responsible for the flare, it's the core. The Radical Spy, which has a polyester cover, also flares a ton (more or less based on drilling). Really impressed by this UC3 so far.
@@scottpatton8806 you misread. I don't believe the cover to be pure urethane. The old urethanes didn't have high flaring cores. Not even asymmetrical ones for that matter.
Fair question. For me it is a lot earlier than a normal reactive ball. It has a slow but continuous motion. It’s like a super strong urethane shape, for me the reactive balls were skidding thru the breakpoint on the lane I was able to use with uc3. Need to see it in more situations first before I know more though!
@@BeefandBarnzy very good. Maybe drop a comment about it on one of your shows after you have acquired more lane time with it. This ball feels like it might be something special
And when exactly is Beef Stu going to have to get out of thane on this pattern? I think that it will be the nuts for high-revvers on the usual thane-ophilic patterns. My focus is on senior up-10 dumpers ... anybody rev-challenged. On the THS cliff, we usually want to throw in the dry, since crossing the cliff like a high-revver is chancy at best, regarding over/under risk. This weak cover with early read (pearl thane at 1000 OOB) combined with a real manly core is going to blend the cliff with good response at the pin deck, for seniors. I've been 'sperimentin' w/my Track 919C and a good gob of polish, to do this same thing, and my break-point miss is 2 boards per side. I may be in the market for this piece.
My great grandson who is 13 just got one Friday he bowls two handed and shot a 277 game last night that ball is filthy I am ordering one next week it makes my hammer look sick.
this ball is just ridiculously good. And the two ofyou together are fun to watch and listen to. give those boys Brad and Kyle a run for their money

I appreciate that you still shoot spares with the ball you are reviewing.

We will have similar videos this week for Wolverine and Alternate reality
@@BeefandBarnzy Looking forward to them.
@16:40 is the best explanation I've heard about the difference between pin up and pin down.
Thank you, I’m glad it made sense for you.

Excellent EXCELLENT ball review guys!! talking through the shots makes it so much easier for people to understand! Very well done!.....ball looks good too!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I like mine, but am definitely gonna have to go to a smoother surface, maybe even a light polish. It’s just too early for me in out of box finish.
Let us know how it goes with some polish! Might try it like that too
As a lefty I’m getting more and more excited
You should be! 🤤
Just went 36 clean with a 724 last night with the UC3. Amazing ball.
Nice job! Glad it’s working for you!
"OMG urethane on a house shot"
Remember, this one can actually flare. It can be drilled to not make much carry down
This looks like a ball that the Storm/Roto Grip/ 900 Global staffers can reach for when team Brunswick pulls out that Purple Hammer…
This ball is impressive. Had to trick it but man! I think Chris will change his opinion about this ball. I think he will love it
I know Jesper has to be excited for this on higher scoring patterns. It IS fun to see that guy throw resin though.
I need Stu or someone else to elaborate on why it seems like a crime to throw a urethane on a house shot pattern?
Because the lanes are already pretty easy to start with, and the urethane will only end up making the cliff super huge. Hence making the night not so much fun for the rest of the pair.
What type of cleaner would you use on this ball since its a pearl urethane? Urethane or reactive cleaner
I would recommend Reacta Foam by storm to clean it. Or to just take a 1000grit abralon pad to the surface when it starts to become shiny
@@BeefandBarnzy alright thanks! Keep up the content love seeing the friendly competition
Do you think this ball would work well for a two handed bowler on house shots? Thanks
Yea I think it will be a solid option
@@BeefandBarnzy thanks
It does seem different than all the other urethane balls, but it will fit in my bag as a lefty.
I’m sure lefty’s are going to love the strength and control of this ball
So do you think the layout had anything to do with the obvious differences between you and Chris? Waiting on mine, and highly debating the layout choice!
Yes, i think my longer pin buffer (pin below) allowed mine to be more rounded and continuous than Chris’ ball. But obviously that will depends on rev rate and speed match up
Would this be a ball to go to when reactive burns up the line?
I don’t think so. Feel like it will always be earlier than any reactive balls

Very nice comments from both of you ! Thanks ! Would you say this is closer to the Fever Pitch than the Fast Pitch then ?
It’s not remotely close to either for me. That balls are waaaay weaker than this ball
@@BeefandBarnzy I see.. Thanks !
I honestly think this ball looks like the next best thing. It reminds me of newer version of the desert and blitz tanks.
I don't recall seeing any of those balls be this strong, but obviously I couldn't throw them
@@BeefandBarnzy the tank blitz was really strong for some people and it was a pseudo urethane. So it's like this
Do you consider this ball a strictly urethane ball or is it more like a hybrid reactive/urethane mix like the Brunswick BTU was several years ago?
Being honest I don’t know. It seems a lot earlier to me that a lot of the hybrid urethane style balls. Almost it’s own category
Did you keep the factory finish on the ball during your test ?
Yes
how is it compared to Hot Cell?
Much more continuous, and I would say a good arrow more hook overall
