I did not see it, but it appears that Gentaro bit Momotaro first. Momotaro got angry at Gentaro for that. 僕は見てなかったのですが、どうやらゲンタロウがモモタロウを先に噛んだようですね。それに対してモモタロウが怒った。
I sure understand that Momotaro got angry if Gentaro bit him. However, I would have liked to see the whole sequence, to really see why it happened. I mean, I can't think Gentaro just walked up to Momotaro and bit him, out of nowhere...
@GorillaLife, Is this a list of your videos showing Momotaro-san being a bad or cruel father to Gentaro in your eyes? Not sure since you just have a lot of links listed after my comment supporting Momo as head, silverback, boss, father of this family, @GorillaLife? I feel it is best not to anthropomorphize animals’ actions or lack thereof in comparison to complex human interactions. Taking sides for or against individual animal behavior (not human species) is not scientific. It is emotional. I had a cruel father, but taking my experience with my family unit should not be applied in equally in comparison to another species’ behaviors in their family unit. Can you please respond at your earliest convenience? If I misunderstand, please let me know. We all appreciate your time.
I’ve seen plenty of videos where Gentaro is harassing and pushing his mother. It’s about time he received a butt kicking. The little one needs a butt kicking too. He’s a pain in the neck…can’t leave his poor mother alone. He’s old enough to stop acting like an infant.
Out of the Zoos in that country, only 1 female gorilla is not related to Gentaro, Annie. The Zoos don’t do international “swapping/trading” of animals, especially gorillas. A zoo would have to set up a habitat/enclosure for Gentaro & Annie. I don’t know if a Zoo can have multiple Gorilla habitats/enclosures. What is happening between Momotaro & Gentaro happens in the wild. Gentaro is pretty close to becoming a Silverback, so Momotaro is seeing that as a threat. It’s the same in the wild, only it’s happening sooner because the habitat/enclosure that Momotaro & his family lives in is small.
@@louiseburke6182 if you’re talking about Gentaro’s butt whooping, yes it is. I’m surprised Momotaro was so restrained. He could’ve killed Gentaro but he just showed him who the “Alpha” was.
@@Gorilla-Life Are you a father? If your son bit you, whatever the reason, are you going to KNOCK HIS TEETH OUT. I hope the answer is NO. There is a power dynamic going on here. You can't put a gorilla family into family group therapy, AND TALK OUT THE PROBLEM. It is Time to separate these two. Hopefully before any one member of the family is critically injured. The mother or baby Kentaro could be the last victim. DO SOMETHING NOW, or there may be BLOOD on your hands.
@@noragriffin6432 *I'm curious as to why they haven't moved Gentaro already. He's going to be 12 in December. At age of 12, Momo was already united with Genki and had become a father. So, I don't understand what they are waiting on. One of them to get seriously injured I guess.*
Nice to see the staff taking action to check Gentaro.. I hope when they move Gentaro he goes over seas and not stay in Japanese zoo. He deserves a better life.
Gentaro's screams were hard to listen to, you can hear his fear. I hope you share this video with the keepers, so they can take a look at Gentaro's mouth and determine if the tooth has to be pulled. Maybe it was food-related, or maybe Gentaro was putting off some hormone scents of his own, and that's what set Momotaro off. And Kintaro, who went to check on his brother, was especially quiet.
It's probably that extremely small enclosure. They're most likely stressed from their environment. I am no expert on Gorilla behavior whatsoever. But there are bachelor troops here in the U.S. and they don't really fight. It could be because their not getting enough food. I honestly feel so bad for this troop! Not only are they caged, but caged in a small space. I am so sad for them. Every other Gorilla family have a huge space to roam because it's natural for a big animal like a Gorilla
No Momotaro has always been food aggressive. Momo never had a sverback father to teach him nor was he not placed in a bachelor group. Perhaps a year or 2 in a bachelor group would have been best before being a father.
Concordo com você, também fico muito triste, estou sempre colocando esse absurdo que é esse terreno minúsculo, o diretor olha vira as costas e deixa e não está nem aí, não é ele que está vivendo sem nenhuma qualidade de vida em minúsculo terreno.
@Gorilla-Life I hope the zoo can match our handsome Gentaro with Shabani's daughter Annie. I hate seeing them fight even tho this is natural behavior. I wish that i was rich because i would've definitely offered this Zoo money to build them a huge enclosure. I may never get to see them in person and I'm ok with that, but it doesn't make me care about them any less❤️🦍❤️🦍❤️🦍
Something set Big Mo off & it must’ve been in someway that we do not understand or saw, cause Mama Genki didn’t get in the middle of it to stop it. She didn’t seem stressed about it. He disciplined him for something. Think about it…if Momo used his strength he would’ve killed Gentaro. He could’ve torn him limb from limb. He didn’t, it was discipline. Gentaro wasn’t backing down at first, he was standing fighting with Mo. He can’t help it, in the wild he would be already gone to make his own way. There has to be a dominant one.
I totally agree, Gentaro wouldn't be alive now if big Momo wanted to really hurt him. He was giving him discipline. Gentaro has been getting a bit to confident around big Momo & needed to be taught a lesson.
Gorilla screams are pretty terrifying to hear, for sure, like something out of the pits of hell! They're not at all like chimpanzee screams which sound more human. But screaming like that when they're scared or angry or when they get disciplined by the silverback is normal; it doesn't mean he's hurting them badly.
In the previous video it looked like they were all getting along, in this video all hell breaks loose. Momo was determined to get poor Gentaro who had no where to run and got cornered who knows what happened off screen, I worry about all those metal girders causing an accident, the enclosure is too small for sure.
I sincerely hope the keepers took a look at that sweet young boy! He is soooo gentle and doesn’t bothers his dad. Momotaro is just really hard on him. He needs a family of his own.
I'm really disturbed how the Japanese zoos seem to do or just not care, don't get gorilla's if you don't know what to do with the young male gorilla's. I mean there seems to be problems in the Shabani troop too that Kiyomasa seems to be trying to take over (his strategy seems to be by getting the females on his side). I'm even more concerned about that family because here Monotaro put him on place at least. I'm worried that if Shabani finally does something that it goes so far that he could really hurt Kiyomasa, I really hope the zoo knows what they are doing and move him before anything like that.
i didnt like that scream from Gentaro but its nature,Dad probably saying you still my son and teaching him a learning curve in somthing we all didnt see.and little Kintaro makeing sure his muched loved brother is ok,thats so sweet
It’s so SAD that Gentaro tried to run away from angry dad but didn’t get far, what to you expect when your locked in a cage with limited space!!!!! He would went very far in the wild and escaped physical discipline. Little Kintaro always goes on the chasing run with Gentaro when Dad is pissed off, I’ve seen Kintaro take swings at his dad from behind, defending his bro, almost always he stays with Gentaro after the scuffles, that’s what brothers do, I’m sure it’s vice versa too. Love my Japan Gorillas 🦍🖤🦍
That enclosure is way too small for two silverbacks. 🙄 2:20 Momo now you can't have all the 🌿 food. 🤦 When Momotaro is being aggressive and bullying about the food, it would be a good idea to let him inside and feed him, separate father and son until things calm down. 3:08 🤔 I don't see a difference from the last fight. Momo is annoyed and going after Gentaro like last time, and highly likely being triggered by Gentaro's strong body odor 😤. If you look carefully Momo does a lot more swinging and roughing up rather than biting. During all this trying to get away Gentaro must've hit his 🦷 tooth on something. 6:40 Aw Kintaro seems to be so worried about his big brother. 8:12 Glad Gentaro got the 🦷 tooth out. 9:40 In the coming days he'll clean the area frequently. I hope it's not too uncomfortable for him to eat. Sigh...well until Gentaro is moved we may see these spats periodically. I mean it won't be a 🦍 fight to the death, but you got two males with strong body odors, that's triggering in and of itself. Gentaro's alarm screaming 🔊 protest, and eventually Momo stops.
Only one can be dominant. The other one must back down or catch a beating. That’s what’s happening. It’s normal behavior. They’re not humans, they’ll work it out.
You are looking at Gorilla's from a human point of view & wanting them to behave like humans. They're Gorilla's, there is always 1 dominant silver back, if Momo wanted to hurt Gentaro, he would be dead now, but he's not even seriously hurt. He's just been disciplined.
I usually don’t go to Gorilla World or Gorilla today channel for obvious reasons! But can you please tell me if Gorilla life video and Gorilla World video are from the same altercation?🙏🏽🥲
I can’t blame this incident on Momo or GT! With all the video’s I have watched GT is maturing and wants more of what his Dad has! It’s natural! Momo and Genki have put up with a lot from GT and showed extreme patience, it’s just evident this enclosure is to small for two dominant males!❤❤
I think that's the biggest chase Momotaro has ever given. Gorilla "Lope" in the UK has just been moved into his bachelor pad, as he is this age now....I think Gentaro will continue to be with family though, even though he would be going in solitude for a few years in nature.
@chrisreynolds3351 I agree! Zoo keepers should’ve immediately helped this poor and frustrated guy. Horrible to watch him suffer. I never visit zoos who don’t have the animals care first and foremost.
it was sad to watch this video, poor Gentaro, he is not an aggressive boy, he is a sweet boy . and poor Kintaro checking on his brother. when Gentaro moves out Kintaro will miss him immensely. how sad!
Although, if one can read their behaviour, it's obvious Gentaro is displaying a rather 'arrogant' behavior towards his father. No surprise for this happening!
@@a2Flisa thanks for the reply. i never talked about behavior or who deserves what. it was sad seeing him loosing his tooth, it does not matter if he was Gentaro or another animal. I love all animals. that why I feed 14 squirrels, birds, cats 😁 everyday. when we are animals lovers, we do not want to see any animal suffering. but I do appreciate your comments and yes it makes sense
@@rosied.johnson It was a reaction to the statement 'he is not an aggressive boy, he is a sweet boy' that I pointed out his behaviour, I believe probably contributing to this happening
I think it was all about food. You know how jealous Momo is with his food. You saw that the burlap bag was empty. And Gentaro, Growing boy that he is, kept taking more and more of the leafy limbs.
Many of us have been watching the Momotaro family when King Momo and Genki became mates, and Genki Mama conceived and gave birth to Gentaro. From there, we watched him being hand reared by zoo keepers, until he was returned to Genki at 10 months. We watched him grow from a tiny, dancing gorilla to becoming a big brother. Remember his shenanigans when Kintaro was born? How he would try to get Genki's attention? He's now a very young adult, and is evident when you look at him, that he is now growing into a Silverback build. He will be 12 years old soon, two years older than what Momotaro was when Genki conceived him. This is their second fight, and as sad as it is going to be when Gentaro is removed from the troupe to form his own family, it is time that he be moved, and paired with his future mate. Momotaro is very big, and very strong, but Gentaro is following the way of a still growing Silverback. He will get to a point where he will be equally stronger, and more defiant as they both age. I love my sweet boy, Gentaro, but I want him to be safe, as Momotaro will begin to see him as a threat. 😢
A threat? Gentaro runs around doing the same things that he does to Genki and Momotaro waves him off or looks at him like he’s crazy. I was surprised to see how patient Momotaro was with Gentaro playfully getting physical with him
Momotaro would never cause severe injuries to his offspring. It may look severe to us but Momotaro would never kill him or permanently disable him. When he does get into scuffle with Gentaro he never goes full rampage on him he holds back a lot. I also don't believe gorillas see their sons as threats as they get older. I believe What they see is their offspring becoming a silverback & they want to make sure their children learn the ways of being a successful leader of their own troop one day .As they age they have to become more independent so they start to push them away by tolerating less and less. He had extreme patience with Gentaro all his life, but he's getting older and mommy and daddy can't baby him forever or he will never be a successful silverback. Momotaro also has to make sure the young adult male knows his place and learns he can't behave like he rules the roost. Its no different then a human Dad having to show their 16 yr old rebellious son who maybe talked back or got physical',that he will not act like that and get away with it. That as long as he's under his roof ,he must follow his rules. Momotaro is a good father especially since he never had one to show him what that role means.
😪oh no poor Gentaro. Terrible screams. This is not a case of severe arrested development with Momotaro. Hoping this incident will be addressed quickly.

It is meant to happen. My hope is that it won't happen too often. Also notice how Kin chan showed concern about his big bro.6:45 However Gen chan wants to be left alone.
Its time to Let Gentaro find his way to another Zoo to create a Family of his own. I fear these situations will only increase. Momo does seem to get more aggressive the older Gentaro gets and and affects the whole Family.
Pobre Gentaro!! Espero que não seja um dano permanente, nesta gaiola em que vivem ele nem tem por onde fugir. O fato de Genki não interferir pode significar que chegou a hora.
It's Gorillas being Gorillas. The keepers are in no hurry to check on him and at least check his mouth I am sure it's extremely painful. It's as plain as day what happened and why Momo did what he did,you only have to read their actions, and it will keep happening. They need BIGGERRRRRR enclosures.
It's a milk tooth on the opposite side of the one he lost a couple of weeks ago, probably minor discomfort! And we don't know what the keepers do unless on camera! But I agree they need a bigger enclosure. Also, Gentaro needs his own, and either go to a bachelors group (at the moment non-existent in Japan) or to be put with a female he's not related to. I guess that would be Annie of Zoo Higashiyama, if we talk available in Japan.
@@stevemorris6790 Of course I don't, but I remember the pain I experienced when loosing my milk teeth, it was a slight discomfort! Also, I don' recall you having a lot of compassion for poor Genki, who's in a lot more pain and discomfort (I'm guessing) due to her teeth status and digestive problems as a result!? Eyyy? Rather you ridicule her, and degrade her, and victim blaming her...
Another videographer saw what happened before the fight. Apparently Gentaro bit Momotaro, like how he did on their last fight, and Momotaro got angry and started chasing Gentaro until he caught up to him. It's only natural, Gentaro is getting bolder as he matures, Momotaro senses this and sort of bullies him because there is competition for food and space, which gets on Gentaro's nerves. There is no right or wrong, just gorillas being gorillas in a captive environment. These kind of fights will become more frequent, the relationship won't get better between father and son, so it's about time to move him, for everyone's safety and mental stability.
Gentaro acts tough but he's super scared of his father. I felt so bad watching him run away from his Dad around 3:50. In the wild, he would have had the freedom to wander away from his troop for a while. Their enclosure is WAY too small to house 2 fully grown silverbacks. I really hope Kyoto Zoo knows this. 6:43 Sweet Kintaro looks so concerned for his big brother. He probably doesn't understand what's happening.
Gentaro's still far from a full-grown silverback, even though his father was younger than he is now, when he was born. Momotaro didn't grow up with his father and apparently not having a silverback around makes a male gorilla develop into a mature adult male faster, at least physically. Gentaro may have been bothering his mother and that's what set his father off; he can be very bratty. I assume the zoo has a plan in place for what do do once those two really can't live together anymore, either house him with one or more other young males or send him to another zoo abroad. But getting occasionally physically disciplined by his dad is a normal part of life for a young male gorilla; it sounded terrifying, but obviously Momotaro could have hurt him a lot more than he did, if he'd wanted to.
@@KathyPrendergast-cu5ciMale gorillas are usually separated from their family between the ages of 6-10. Gentaro should have been transferred to a bachelor's group before Kintaro was born. To keep him with his natal troop at this point is just slowing his growth and stressing out the troop. The zoo is behind on separating Gentaro from his family. As you mentioned, the absence of a silverback's protection can create stress/incentive hormones that kicks a male gorilla's biology into overdrive (it's a survival instinct.) If Gentaro were moved away from his family today, he would finish maturing much quicker. Hence, Momotaro becoming a full silverback at age 10 and Gentaro still looking and acting like a 7 year old 😅 Look into the science behind bachelor's groups and why they are necessary in the wild and within zoo culture.
@@KathyPrendergast-cu5ciAlso, Momotaro has NEVER been around another silverback. Gentaro is his first experience with another blackback. Momotaro reportedly scolds Gentaro on days when his body odor is strong...this is what I mean by the enclosure not being big enough. Gentaro's new scent alone will likely cause tension and even aggressive behavior from Momotaro until he gets used to the smell or he decides Gentaro is a threat. It could go either way. It's also unwise to keep a blackback with their birth troop because there's a risk of inbreeding. Take the Shabani troop cor example, their blackback Kiyomasa is in the same situation except he's matured sexually and has taken to mating with all the females in the troop, including his sister and mother. His sister, Annie, is who Gentaro will likely be paired with...a good thing as Momotaro is not the best silverback for demonstrating how to procreate 😅 so luckily his mate will be experienced. Anyways, I'm rambling. I appreciate the educated reply. I hope you have a great day, fellow gorilla-aficionado! Cheers 😊🦍❤
@@devonporter7278 Yes, gorillas - at least captive ones - have none of the taboos against incest that humans have, which is why it’s standard for them to put all sexually mature females on contraceptives if they’re in a troop with any sexually mature males that aren’t approved for them to breed with. In Dian Fossey’s studies of wild mountain gorillas she found that the gorillas’ natural migration habits after sexual maturity tended to discourage inbreeding, and that there at least seemed to be an innate taboo against mother-son mating. But gorillas born and raised in captivity can’t be expected to behave like wild ones.
Gentaro was given a reality check today, when momataro gets fed up with his antics and decides to push back, gintaro will be put in touch with reality very quick
People are quick to condemn Momo but he's only responding naturally. In their native environment Gentaro would have found a bachelor group to live with. You know, drinking alcohol until they were sick, harassing young females until the dominant males chased them away, getting into squabbles with each other but then backing up a bro. Guy stuff.
I think Shabani should send Kiyomasa over to Momo's for some discipline 😂. We dont know what was going on here but big Daddy was laying down the law. Mama stayed out of it and Kintaro was so worried about big bro. Gentaro lost a little pride and a tooth. Hopefully peace will descend after this. They're a beautiful family ❤❤
@@Gorilla-Life Aw, that's good. This was my first time learning that gorillas have baby teeth that come out like we have experienced. Thanks for your response!
@Gorilla-Life I know this is a fight... But what happened to Kintaro's top 2 front teeth? I am sure Gentaro had something to do with it. Will Kintaro get those teeth replaced? Thank you for your time?
Wow, I never seen Momo and Gentaro run, climb and swing so fast in all the days I've watched them. Yes, Gentaro must have knocked his tooth on something. It has loosend...I seen it for split second. He doesn't know what to do, but it's bugging/ and hurting him a lot. Poot Kintaro, he wanted to support his brother and was showing his concern by standing next to the box, but Gentaro finally got mad and told him to go. This was an awesome video, with the exception of Gentaro getting hurt. I hope the keepers discover his loose tooth and they can pull it out. For the love of gorillas. ☹💗🦍
@@a2FlisaI think it was loose before the fight, just his baby tooth coming out at the time of the fight. Or.. if he did bite Momotaro as some said, he may have loosened it up then too. Either way, it's out now.
The zoo only cares about Momo and his well being. When he was sick and not eating the staff quickly removed him from the rest and put gim in a room by himself to recover. But it took them for ever to give Genki treatment when she was suffering from tooth aches and headaches. Poor Gentaro, I hope he fought back, Momo has been in a very bad mood lately. The zoo should consider a bigger enclosure for them. Being stuck in such a small place is driving them crazy.
I would hope the huge Silverback is separated when he's really sick. Imagine how volatile a 400lbs + animal is when he's not feeling good and his son (who loves to start fights as he did here) decides to mess with him.... That could be dangerous. Genki isn't dangerous and probably would be even more anxious if separated from Kinney. You can't treat Genki and Momo the same when they aren't.
Два самца обречены на постоянные конфликты. Конечно, сложно найти место для проживания подросших горилл и создания новой семьи. Думаю, эту проблему нужно решать совместно с другими зоопарками.
I think that you HAVE shown some signs lately, though. Gentaro has been much bolder, meeting Momo's eyes, and refusing to move. It might be possible that today was the day Momo snapped, no?
Regardless, it was enough to make me cry. No animals in the custody of zoos should have to live in fear, especially the older Genki. It is the zoo's responsibility to ensure a good life for them, free from fear and stress.
@@gregsutton2400 erm...putting something in there that I never implied? Your inference is obviously lacking, so brush up on it, please. No mention of drugs was made, nor wanted. Societal structures of primates lead to young males banding off on their own quite frequently, and females do, as well. In this small confined space, that is not possible. Do better next time. PS if your assumptions are that off base, perhaps reading other's comments is not for you.
@Gorilla-Life ❤️ thank you, Gorilla-Life! I truly hope you don't think I'm here to cause issues on your page, because I try very hard to study and learn, and appreciate your hard work and efforts to bring them to us. I do worry what the future may bring, though, if things don't change.
It's time for the Zoos to find Gentaro an new home and family. In the wild he would have been able to run off and maybe find a new group. He is confined here.
Well that was difficult to watch and listen to! Kinny never left his side! So worried about his dear brother! The amount of love is undeniable between these two! Momo was relentless. He wasn't stopping till he got him! Gentaro tried his best to get away but Dad just kept coming! We all just wonder why!?? It sure wasn't apparent! Wow! Upsetting ❤🦍
Gentaro and Kiyo need to be moved into a bachelor group asap. Japan's zoo's don't seem to care about what is normal care for gorillas so I doubt this will happen.

Help Gentaro please‼️ This may just be a warning of what may happen. Please to the authorities of the Kyoto zoo, if it is not possible to transfer him to another zoo to form his family even if it is, separate him‼️ He doesn't deserve to go through moments like this‼️ Please be empathetic to the gorillas‼️
No worries. that was his baby cannie tooth. The following day ( today), the relationship was no problem. On the contrary, Gentaro is getting to have strong wills.
People need to stop believing the Gorilla's should behave like humans, this is totally natural. If Momo wanted to hurt Gentaro he would be dead now. Gentaro isn't even seriously hurt. Momo has disciplined him & it will happenore regularly until Gentaro leaves his troop.
Que maldade com Gentaro , condenado a viver preso com seu grupo , quando na natureza ele ja haveria saido e contituido seu próprio bando , ali sem chances 😢
Gentaro has to learn his place and behave himself according to Momo’s rules. They’ll move him when the time comes. It’s not that easy to just move gorillas around. They’re very sensitive animals….a traumatic move could kill them.
Well that’s distressing. Although what an impressive display of athleticism from Momo here. Big Daddy can move and climb fast. Kintaros concern for Gentaro afterward was so sincere and cute. Upsetting to see Gentaro frustrated enough to shoo Kinny away but we all have license to be frustrated and upset sometimes. I think what bothered me most was Gentaros concern for his teeth afterwards . I mean I get it but like is his mouth seriously injured? That was a lot. It will be heartbreaking for Kintaro but I think the best thing is to put some gas on Gentaros transfer away from his family at this point. There are too many alpha gorilla male hormones now in this small enclosure to be contained. I hope the zoo has a plan because Momo obviously hit hard enough to loosen Gen’s teeth so these are no minor tussles. These are powerful blows and I don’t want anyone to get hurt. I don’t know what Kintaro was doing during fight as it occurred in blind spot and we could only hear, but I imagine he was trying to stop it and he could also be hurt in the crossfire. Anyway. Family drama is natural but it’s also natural for gorillas of Gentaros age to stake their own claim elsewhere. I think it’s time. Thanks for capturing it Gorilla Life. 🥰 Not easy to watch, not easy to hear Gentaro screams or see his distress about his teeth afterward but I appreciate you sharing with us. 🦍♥️
@@Gorilla-Lifewell thank goodness it was only his baby tooth! Was probably loose already or Momo loosened it with his fist. I worried it was one of his permanent teeth. Thanks Gorilla Life! 😘🦍♥️
Its extremely sad due to the government policies there is no where to rehome Gentaro , There laws are very strict and they won't allow any of the Gorillas there to go to any zoo's outside of their jurisdiction. If they would allow it Gentaro would have many choices where he could go and be with a non related females and start his own pack with lady Gorillas and start having babies soon after. I think Gentaro is soon to be 12 years old. These fights will only increase and get worse as Gentaro continues to grow with his hormones flexing all over the place, just as with any other mammel , plus they are in confined spaces without access to more area , and limited foods. These are very large animal's and requires alot of food for each . I personally don't like zoo's i think they are cruel but at least the majority of them do much better for the animals than in the past history and some of them do play important roles in for endangered species where they participate in breeding programs for certain animals. But the Gorillas like Gentaro life is unfortunately likely to just get harder and more complicated. I wish the governments and all those involved with these animals would make better decisions regarding what is in the best interest for the animal and take politics out of it. So sorry Gentaro
It don't nessasarily has to be so. Kayoto zoo can always build an additional extended section to place Gentaro in with his own fam . Avoiding an arrested development and a safer place for him . He would be also close to his brother . Just not living with them . Their habitat is much to small anyways for two huge Silverbacks to live together in peace. ✨♥️✨ Too confined for father and sons . It's time for Gentaro to have his own troop . Kintaro still have a ways to go . Kintaro sure would give him a run for it when he get to be Gentaro s age . ✨♥️✨ Momotaro likes being alone . I think thats the message from the very beginning . He is more a loner type of guy . In a class all of his own . Lack affection , picky, and selfish towards his whole troop . It's like he wanted to pick his own mate . From beginning. Instead it was Ginki who chase him down and drop it like its hot and he still ran from her . He needed to have a chance to choose between two females. That could be the cause of lack of affection towards Ginki and her boys. He gave her what SHE WANTED . NOT WHAT HE WANTED . I MUST SAY EVEN SO GINKI GAVE HIM TWO BEAUTIFUL HANDSOME SONS .
I’m glad Momo landed on him. He need to remember who is Silverback. Best to discipline now, instead of waiting for it to get worse. It’s not like Momo picks on him. We should all support Momo. He is responsible for his family, physically and emotionally.
This time 😮Momo was really really mad. Usually he gives up running after a while but this time wow! I noticed in another video that, after Gentaro pulled that tooth, he kept working on his teeth. I hope he doesn’t self mutilate like his Mom did out of worry. With his dad and Gentaro’s hormones colliding somethings Gotta give!
@@Gorilla-Life thank you for that information. And thank you for all the videos and information you give us out here. Re: Gentaro, that makes things more clear!👏
I bet food was the problem. Don't touch the food bid Daddy wants later. Either way, Gentaro has grown up, starting to look like a silverback. I hope they find Gentaro a mate and soon.
I've noticed the eating habits with each family membe. Momo always collects his many branches,Gentaro who now has an appetite like his fathers...took a massive share and darted when a one branch in the mouth Momo is wondering where the heck is my food. He was hungry and angry especially, when there wasn't anything left in the bag as well.
What makes this sad is that in the wild, Gentaro could have ran away. Because they're in that small enclosure, he has no where to go. It's going to be interesting watching Momotaro get use to sharing his territory.
Kintaro doing that weird staring thing @4:20 for almost 3 minutes straight ! Until Genteel has had enough and tries to punch Kings to in the face @6:45 😂
Gentaro is becoming sexually mature and more silverback like. Momo knows this and sees him as more of a competitor and less of a son and it's probably time Gentaro get a troop of his own. He needs more space too.
I don’t believe that Momotaro sees Gentaro as a threat at all. Gentaro has messed with Momotaro the same way he messes with Genki and Momotaro just waved him off calmly. I was actually very surprised that there wasn’t a fight those times.
Oh my….please share this with the keepers in hopes it will motivate them to find a new home for Gentaro. He deserves a good life, they all do 🥺🦍♥️ AND pray Genki never gets pregnant again… that place is not a fitting place for any Gorilla family 😢
I did not see it, but it appears that Gentaro bit Momotaro first. Momotaro got angry at Gentaro for that. 僕は見てなかったのですが、どうやらゲンタロウがモモタロウを先に噛んだようですね。それに対してモモタロウが怒った。
This is the way it has to be, the silverback has to show his authority it's natural. It's not pleasent for us to see or hear. But Gentaro needs to know his place. He will do the same when he becomes a silver back. Gentaro has been getting more confident in himself & needed to be put in his place. It will all be forgotten about tomorrow or the day after. Kintaro will have learned a harsh lesson today as well. Nothing serious seems to wrong with Gentaro. I hope not he's the most lovable type of Gorilla ever. Momo must be very frustrated about something or the other. I have my own opinions of that. But it's very hard for Momo, he never saw he's father & never learnt how to mate properly himself. I would imagine if he had. There would have been more than just 2 sons.
It's a milk tooth and the opposite side of the one he lost a couple of weeks back, probably already loose! Well, the fight had already begun at the point GL caught the action on video.
That was heartbreaking to hear! Maybe consider separating them or provide a better habitat that is more natural, with green fields, private caves, and open spaces for them so they won’t feel so confined.
Gentaro bit Momotaro, which caused the fight. It was written by gorilla world. Gentaro's missing teeth are milk teeth. not adult teeth. The fight wasn't the reason the tooth fell out. It happened to be the time when Gentaro's teeth were replaced. Gentaro is not injured. Don't worry😊
I saw a Wild Gorilla fight about 10 years ago! The resident male was calmly eating when all of a sudden he jumped up, started Pounding his Chest Hard! Really Hard! Not like when you hear that Clapped Cuffed Hand Slapping, this sounded like Thunder! A outsider male approached in a Hostile way trying to take over as the Alpha Male for Breeding rites! The females and young all screaming and running to hide! The Alpha stood tall and Flexed as the Challenger charged! When those 2 Giants collide it was PURE FURY and RAW POWER and AGGRESSION like I never seen before! After about 10 or 12 of the two tied up together with Fists and Feat Pummeling each other the Challenger tried to escape! The Alpha was right on his Ass! Tearing whole Bushes outta the ground to get at the Challenger! Breaking Tree Branches off of every tree he passed! I mean branches like 3 or 4 inches thick! He was Enraged and Furious! When he caught his rival he started Pummeling him with mighty blows! One after another! The Challenger made another attempt to flee the Beating and was caught right on the chin with a Atomic Right Hand from the Alpha! He actually KNOCKED the Challenger OUT COLD! The men filming said the same thing, the Stench was Sickening! The Screams that the 2 Combatants made were so LOUD and TERRIFYING the crew said they were FROZEN in PLACE with MORTAL FEAR! JUST from their VOCALS! They said they SHIT themselves with Fear and Excitement watching this Instant display of POWER and FURY right in front of them! ! I always knew Gorillas were mighty powerful beasts, but when I saw the FURY in that Alphas Eyes and his Face, and the way he was Hitting, Kicking, Stomping the Challenger, I thought he was going to KILL Him! When the Challenger went limp and fell flat on the ground, the Alpha punched and kicked and stomped him a few more times! Then he just stood over him Glaring Wild Eyed around for his Family to see that he is KING! He is Alpha Male of this Family and just Proved he is ALPHA Male! LORD of His DOMAIN! Was the Most Incredible thing I've EVER SEEN in Nature! The Power and Fury was Incredible! A human would be dead 1st hit! This fight here is NOTHING compared to what I saw! You can't even Imagine the POWER that those 2 Male Silverbacks were displaying in that Fight! The area they fought in looked like it was Bombed in a War Zone! The reigning Alpha LOOKED TWICE as BIG as he did before the fight! He was so PUMPED UP! His RAGE at the Challenger was TERRIFYING! I tried to Imagine What it would be like to have a Beast like him Charge with the exact same Fury at me! ................................................... It would be a GOOD DEATH for a WARRIOR is the Only Thing I could muster! 🙂
PS: After the Defeated Challenger regained Consciousness, the crew said he Crawled away into the thick brush growth! He couldn't walk, let alone run! He survived the battle , but he PAID A HEFTY Price! He was Severely Injured all over his body! I seriously DOUBT that he'll EVER RETURN for a rematch! After a Beating like he took, he's very, very LUCKY to be ALIVE!
This was my very first troop who started my journey of troop watching, and I have learned so much since then. But I find myself only checking in on them once in a while because it's so upsetting to me. They will always be my favorite, and number 1, but my not watching them as much is for my mental state. I don't want to be upset all the time and I would be watching them every day. 😢
Oh, it's an impossible situation! Gentaro can't just be moved to form his own troop, but he's going to test Momo as he would in the wild. This is getting close to the time that Gentaro would go looking for another troop (of bachelors) and maybe a mate, but he's not ready for that, either. He's still barely a Blackback, much less a Silverback ready to challenge another Alpha. They need more space and the city won't allow or fund an expansion. There are plenty of zoos that have multiple enclosures for this very reason, but this zoo isn't getting the funding they need. Nor do they have any female gorillas to put with Gentaro. 😥❤🦍❤
@@Gorilla-Life Momotaro is a wonderful Daddy and Alpha. Gentaro is a teenager who wants his way🙄😂, but I have no doubt his amazing Dad will show him the RIGHT way! 😊 ❤🦍❤
His tooth appears to have broken off at the gum line. It needs to be removed. Gentaro needs to be removed from such a confined space. There is no place for him to run. He will be killed. It’s their way. Maybe he should be sold to another zoo in America, where he will have a beautiful huge outdoor enclosure. Check into it.
It's time to move him out of that enclosure. Male Gorillas usually leave the group at a certain age or their father pushes them out. As long as they are together they are gonna continue to fight.

@@laurenurban3942 why people hold wild animals to the same standards as humans is insane! they are WILD animals

@aquarianlight1880 I am aware of Momotaro's background. I wish Japan had bachelor troops and then Momo would've learned the SilverBack way🫶🏽🦍
Something set Big Mo off & it must’ve been in someway that we do not understand or saw, cause Mama Genki didn’t get in the middle of it to stop it.

I hope the zoo direction is working on finding Gentaro a new home and wife.

I remember that bite and when he did it I thought, Oh jeez he’s gonna get you. Momo had not done anything to him for him to bite him.

@@Gorilla-Life appreciate the clarification. Thank you.
@@KathyPrendergast-cu5ci I get disciplined by my father all the time growing up and I’m no gorilla.
Hence, Momotaro becoming a full silverback at age 10 and Gentaro still looking and acting like a 7 year old 😅
Look into the science behind bachelor's groups and why they are necessary in the wild and within zoo culture.

Gennaro needs toobe moved to another area. This time was not as violent as what is coming in the future.
People are quick to condemn Momo but he's only responding naturally. In their native environment Gentaro would have found a bachelor group to live with. You know, drinking alcohol until they were sick, harassing young females until the dominant males chased them away, getting into squabbles with each other but then backing up a bro. Guy stuff.

I believe they will be separated soon before one of them gets badly injured

In the past Genki would try to protect Gentaro from Momotaro but this time she did nothing. Even she is beyond tired of him.
Gentaros Schrei zu hören war entsetzlich😱🫢😥🫣

It’s best we didn’t see the assault. It was sweet watching Kintaro’s concern. He’s been great to watch grow up.
Kintaro น่ารักมากเป็นห่วงพี😂😂 พี่ถามมองอะไรเลยเคาะหัวไปที😂😂
Gentaro bit Momotaro first .
That's why Momotaro got angry.
No woriies. His baby tooth was pulled out. That’s all.
Reminded me of when a kid acts up at Walmart. Man that was brutal
It's time to move him out of that enclosure. Male Gorillas usually leave the group at a certain age or their father pushes them out. As long as they are together they are gonna continue to fight.
Gentaro no es tranquilo como su papá. Genki no lo defendio yo creo que lo hizo lloror a Kintaro por eso fue la reaccion de Momo.
