PC Games That Should Never Be - Episode 1

- It's something new I've not done before. Maybe it'll work, maybe it'll flop, but what it most definitely does - takes a look at three really awful PC games. Across different periods in the platform's life. Check it out, and let me know if it's something that should carry on, or not worth your time. :)

The success of the Splatoon series and the beloved status of “Chex Quest” for OG Doom shows there is a desire in the consumer base for non-violent shooters. Extreme Paint Brawl said, “what if we did that, but not that at all.”
It's like they've compiled a list of features in all of these, and then decided only to pick the worse features that they had. And then dipped it in a puddle of mud for good measure. Just in case, it would be playable otherwise. ;)
Ohhh, don‘t forget the masterpiece Super 3D Noah‘s Ark! Moses running around with a slingshot, launching feed at cranky animals. It was brilliant.

Extreme Paintbrawl is legendarily bad for every reason you said! The fact that it got a release is just mind boggling. 😂
I don’t know Psycho Killer but I may actually play it for the exact same reason I watch movies like Sting of Death & Godmonster of Indian Flats.
Horse Racing 2016 sounds like it’s not even ‘So Bad, It's Good’, it’s just bad?
I’m very much up for this series! I love how bad some games that actually got a commercial release can be, thank you. Are you going to cover the well known ones like Big Rigs or are you trying to present something different?
I'm gonna blow your mind here, buddy. There's more than one Extreme Paintbrawl, and each next is as bad as the last. xD
Psycho Killer is an FMV game but with nearly no MV in it. ;)
Horse Racing is god awful. I mean, the gameplay here may not show it, but I only ever played it on XBox, so couldn't show it off here well, and definitely not buying it (again), but it's so terrible that it became our local meme. My friend's and mine. That whenever he wants something or asks for whatever, I tell him that I would get it for him for his Birthday if not for Horse Racing 2017, that I'm definitely getting, as 16 was his fave game. xD 2017 naturally never came out. And no surprise here really. It's trash.
I have Big Rigs on my draft of a list, cause it's not as big as for other series I run. Really really really bad games, believe it or not, are not as common. xD And yes, I plan for some less obvious ones too. If *this* becomes a thing that is.
Definitely don't stop at just episode 1 with these please :D You really roasted these games well! It's unbelievable how bad they are and that description for Horse Racing 2016 is so spot on. You need courage to play that thing. XD
I've actually heard of the first two games before, in some "worst games ever" lists. They're so bad they're famous. Oh, and the characters in Paintbrawl look like they're walking on water. I think the game devs should have embraced the game bugs and made all the guys look like Jesus.
Have you seen HR2016? You know, I make that friend of mine keep it installed on his XBox... Cause:
- it's a gift
- it's the best (well, and only) game about horses he has
- it's downright awful and I like to tease him that we will play it next time I come over, and listen to him thinking of reasons not to xD
The embrace could be a way to go for this, if there's one at all.
@@OldAndNewVideoGames No, I hadn't heard of this amazingly buggy game before. I think the list I saw for worst games was made before its release. :D Otherwise it would have been in the top 3.

@@Niskirin Oh man... But can you play the Big Rigs on PC without gamepad? Yes, yes you can. Play is a strong word in case of both of these, but you can. So... xD

I kinda get that. Some of the movies are so bad, you just can't help but watch. Same with games. Though I wouldn't recommend playing most of them. None of them actually. xD
Don't know how it's possible, but never stumbled upon "Psycho Killer", it's obscure, to say the least

The most confusing part of HR '16 is how that angry Goomba on the screen manages to fart out two streams of gas. I think it needs to see a doctor! 😂

I played psycho killer on the Amiga CDTV, I was so impressed at the time. lol
If I had a CDTV and "it", I'd be impressed with myself if I would manage to stop myself from crashing the gamepad on my head with this one. It's such a terrible awful game. The cowboy game the devs of it made, was soooo much better. Even if not good at all either. xD
Horse Racing 2016 looks like one of those mid 2K0s budget games.
And it plays like late 70s early 80s arcade title, a bad one at that, with realistically just one button to mash. ;)

When i suggested you to play bas games, i specificly thought the paintball one. Me nd a friend used to play games against each other. The winner got to choose the next game, but the looser had to play extreme paintbrawl… i ended up getting pretty good at it

I'm a bit torn here... On one hand, I'd like people to enjoy the video, but on another it would be best, if they'd never learn of these nightmares. xD
That horse racing game came out 20 years too late. It looks like something from 1996.
And plays like something from 1978 xD

Psycho killer I remember that on the commodore cd TV. It was original for the time but poor to play now

Can you at least jump the fence and explore the rest of Hyrule on horseback after beating the last part of Horse Racing 2016 featured in the video?
No, but you can get stuck on many obstacles if you'd like. Oh, and if you really really want to, you can even change the button mashing finger. ;)
9:05 the jockey repeatedly slaps his own butt. Is that how you make the horse go faster?

Sometimes i fear for sanity, soul and or wellbeing of folk who play game like these (or watch / listen to more passive entertainment in the similar tier of quality).
Now i freely admit i was suckered in for few games that were awfull (Genesis Alpha one, the one postal game i refuse to aknowledge (the one that was not RWS joint), tactics: brotherhood of steel, i even played Carmageddon TDR 2000 - all seem to some point better than the contestants above for example) but i do not believe i've had experiences quite as bad as described here, eitehr that or my brain completly refused to aknowlidge that fact during writing this nonsence.
So thanks for your sacrifice and hope good outweighs the bad in your gaming journeys everyone but particularly the guy who dose mastermind this channel.
Well, if you don't value your life and want to jump in, straight into the worst of the worse, there's always Pro Soccer 2190 on the Amiga. I mean, these three terrible awful games seem like award winning pieces of software when compared to it. xD

Little less jesty i do not exactly seek out bad games i just happen upon them. courtesy of now knowing what i am getting sometimes or misstaken belief that the game series was good why not buy the next installment... and i end up with Flatout chaoss and destruction, tactics brotherhood of steel and yes only game i own from the series mass effect andromeda :/
I would say i have more than enough bad games to life multiple lifetimes but my bad intuition just keeps getting new ones .P
Still i did as mentioned recently started playing good games like RCRC (robocop rogue city) so sometimes i am plesantly surprised.
@@nameless5413 In all fairness, I actually enjoyed Andromeda a lot. Goes to show that someone may actually enjoy what someone else considers trash. Not Pro Soccer 2190 though, no one would ever enjoy that. Geneva Convention was amended to ban sales of this monstrosity. ;)

Same issue with andromeda as with many other games that are in name only (ex.: post Interplay fallout) it is not bad game it is just not grasping the very essencial part of what made the game / series what it is. With that the new owner thought that the old fans would stick around because we are suposed to be shallow idiots in their minds, not able to grasp that something is not related just because they use same name (right trek/wars/misc. culture gone bad in last 4 decades?).
AGH i am preaching at the. i am glad you enjoy the ME:A (i probably hate it more because of that Pseudoku than anything else, or at least that is the raging red thing i remember - some of them i swear are unsolvable). Many a people, even talented ones worked on the game and their work should be appretiated. and to be fair the exploration is something i deeply desire from most space games... nigh all of them just fall short by virue of doing the exploration wrong (oh hey NMS, the exploration is undercut by the fact that there ARE races we know from elswhere everywhere as well as piles of trash i mean supplies).
Kinda hoping the underspace is going to live up to its first hour or so .) very excited there. As its veeery tempting for me to liken it to freelancer, the ONE space game that is not too complicated for me (and yes i've tried things like elite dangerous, parkan, X series (and more succesfully the Rebel Galaxy and outlaw games, Starpoint Gemini 2). none of which are exactly what i am looking for but RG games are pretty decent.
@@nameless5413 You know, I have all these space-games, and more, but hardly any time to play them. I've sunk probably couple hundred hours in Elite Dangerous at some point, and would like to carry on again, but with as little time as I get, I prefer to spend them at games I can play from start to finish. Freelancer with Discovery MOD was ace, AFAIR, and I gave it a good 50-60 hours too overall, years ago.

@@Zeziliath It didn't do great, but it's more than enough for the series to carry on. :) That said, number really don't mean anything here rather than boost my ego, LOL. Cause I still have that Rapid Fire Reviews series of mine, and they got like 3-400 views each, and I'm already planning another. Sure, they're released every X weeks or so, and people don't come for "that" content here, but I like to make them, despite the views. :)

I had Psycho Killer on the CDTV (I was one of the handful of people who bought one..) , it was really terrible - even worse than the PC version

My brother used to play Extreme Paintbrawl a lot lol. I could never quite understand it. I thought it was awful. LOL.
As far as Horse Racing 2016... they managed to release a game that looks it from the 1990s yet looks so bad. Buildings look like they are out of Streets of Simcity lol.
HR2016 is literally just mashing one button, then stopping for few seconds for the horse stamina to build back up, and then going for it again. Rinse and repeat. You really can't lose at that game unless you really want to. And you should (want to lose, that is), cause it sucks. xD
