Thanks for making cameras that put power in the hands of the user, allowing total user control and access over RTSP, so many of these crappy cheap cameras out there no longer carry these type of features and are all cloud based or service based, so refreshing to see a business proudly making this feature front and center rather than hiding it or removing it completely.
hi there, im using amcrest doorbell. when i try to add rtsp in VLC and type in login and password - they are incorrect. Ive triple checked with my app username and password, changed a password, but no, it still says incorrect UPDATED, Username is not the email from the app or something Username is always admin. You should said that before1!!
Thanks, worked on all three Security cams of different models, 2 wired, 1 Wifi. I needed to use the port 554 number, Worked on Windows 10, and a Linux Box. The Linux box was my goal since I could not get the Cams working any other way.
Hi. I love your videos, very informative, I'm having a problem that, it seems, no one can solve. I bought 2 wireless IP cameras (manufactured bu Qinroiot), battery powered, wifi, with solar panels. I want to stream my black bears on UA-cam. My androids pick up cameras/video just fine. I went into my router page and it lists both cameras which had already assigned them IP addresses .Now, after watching about 40 videos on UA-cam no one touches on the problem. OBS, VLC and even an android emulator does NOT recognize that I even have the cameras on the network. I even ran network diagnostics which said that there's nothing wrong with my computer but the cameras aren't responding, yet, they show up on my phone's android app (Ubox). Everything on my network runs on the wifi, even my desktop (Win XP) and my laptop (Win 10). Lastly, I watched a video by a man who showed how he hooked up his IP cameras so they show up in VLC and OBS for UA-cam streaming, but he used the 'Device Verification Codes) generated by his cameras. My cams have no device verification codes. I even emailed the company and they had no idea what I'm talking about, They told me to used an android emulator. Haha, no such luck. If you can help I would sure be very appreciative. Thanks, Dennis.
Yesterday when I made port scanning for camera, I saw the port 554 was open, than today I thought I can use your method to stream, but today port 554 is closed, I don't understand what could be reason?

This DOES NOT WORK with ASH21-B-V3 camera's. I have tried to get this working for months and VLC does not handle the stream.

Hello, this could be an internal issue. Please contact them our support team at support@amcrest.com so they can look into this.
Is there a plugin for OBS? Has anyone connected IP camera with OBS?
Add a VLC source, use the url rtsp://username:password@cameraIP address
@@eric256 thanks for sharing this information
Can't seem to view the camera. The connection is established and I can see the timer counting but all I see is a black screen.
We are sorry to hear this. Please email support@amcrest.com and they will assist you with this.
I’ve added the camera, but I have 3 other cameras. I was wondering how am I able to stream all 3 of them at once.
Thank you
Hi there, repeat the process for all cameras, and you will be able to view all your cameras at once through the Amcrest View App.
did we need public ip for that or it can be access on local ip
This varies depending on the model you have. Please email support@amcrest.com and they will assist you
How can you do this but use the sub stream?
