- The Ezviz cameras for the price are fantastic. I am using the Ezviz C3WN that I purchased for $34.99 for my UA-cam live streaming and it works perfectly. It supports 1080p resolution at 30 fps using the h.264 video codec.
Here is the information you need to use for the streaming using VLC and the OBS studio app.
rtsp://admin: device verification code@device IP address on the LAN:554/H.264
example
rtsp://admin:AAAAAA@192.168.10.163:554/H.264
I did a test run and it worked perfectly, thanks for this video
Excellent

@@WideWorldofTrains Thank you.
I want to thank you for your wonderful video. I am using it to set up a live cam to help Habitat for Humanity build houses in Indonesia.
Glad it helped......... thanks
Thank you for the help in setting our system up with the same camera etc we will be running live bird feeder cam soon in South Africa Hazyview. Cheers
Send me the link when you get it set up
I was not able to make this work and EZVIZ tech support said I can not do UA-cam Livestream with this camera unless it is connected via network cable. They explicitly said you can not enable Live View with wifi. Just thought I'd let you know that is what I am experiencing in case anyone is trying to do the same because I've spent hours on this. Maybe something has changed - your video is great though Ronnie so thumbs up there!
That is strange, I just cranked up live streaming on one of my Ezviz cams, using the OBS studio app. Took all of 2 minutes.
ua-cam.com/video/YnwTRmTrVGY/v-deo.html
Edit: I am streaming using my WiFi camera Model C3WN.
Edit 2: I just switched over to my other WiFi camera, model. C3X
Edit 3: I also have 2 battery powered WiFi Ezviz (model C3A) that work also, but I have to disable the "sleep" function. Then the battery won't last long.
What do you mean by WiFi???
Thank you, just what I was looking for to learn how to live stream my bird feeders
Glad it helped.......... This will work with every camera out there (that I am aware of)......
i'm going to be getting a camera and some bird feeders soon and live stream it 24/7

I have a question. When you finish setting up the camera and software and your video is live..
Will you be able to turn off your pc?
No, that is why I use a low powered mini PC. I have one that only uses 24 Watts, so it causes very little money to run. I never turn it off.

Hi Ronnie. I enjoyed your video but all my cameras work on Android. How do you use your computer ?
You have to use an "rtsp" stream using you camera IP address similar to the one I use rtsp://admin:xxxxx@192.168.10.250:554/H.264.
Here is a video that may help you find your rtsp and IP for your camera. I have not watched it.

Wow thanks so much, this really helped me a lot! I've got one question. I've got a few of these camera's which I would like to view one by one on a monitor (full screen) with, for example, timestamps of 10 seconds. How would you recommend to implement that? Via VLC? Would it be possible to create some kind of stream in which I can rotate through a 'live' playlist? Thank you in advance for your response!
Excellent video. Thank you!!😊
Thank you for the kind comment.
Thank you for this; it's a good video!
This was great. Do I need to have a computer running all the time from the place where the cameras are at or can I set up the stream with a computer at the site where the camera are at and not need the computer running once the stream is set up? Thank you.
The computer has to be running all the time. That's one of those low-powered, low cost mini computers work fantastic for this.
Thank you! Very good explanation!
Thank you.
Great video Ronnie. I set up an Ezviz C8PF on OBS -> UA-cam live and was very easy to set up with your instructions. One of the reasons I purchased the C8PF was because it has optical zoom. When streaming with OBS, only the wide angle view from the camera will show. I want to leave it zoomed in on a specific spot for my live stream. Zooming in works fine in the app. Even if I use zoom on the app, only the wide angel shot is visible in OBS. Note: this camera has two lenses and I'm using a cat-5 cable, not wireless setup. I'm wondering if something can be added to the URL to push the zoom view through, or if there is actually two feeds because of the two lenses. I've gone through all the settings in the app and can't find anything related to this. Any ideas?
I would ask this question only OBS forum. There should only be one stream coming from your camera, so the OBS studio application should be the one that adapts to that string.
@@clarkss12 Thank you. I'll try that.

Hi there - what could i set up as a surveillance camera i can place at my horse paddock it is 12kms away ( about 10mins drive). I want to be able to watch what goes on and also go live. Cheers,
They do make a camera that uses the cellular signal. But I'm not sure exactly which one right now.
Thank you for making this informative video. Would you happen to know if you can still use the ezviz cloud recording service if you've enabled RTSP in the app? I thought it was one or the other but I want to make srue

Why did you use :554 in your RTSP URL instead of the :8000 as shown in your LAN live view?
I really don't remember why I use :554.
I have all my camera urls in a note pad doc on my PC, so I just use the url when I do some changes.
@@clarkss12 Thanks,. I finally got mine to work, but things have really changed in the past three years since you made this video, especially the app. It's quite different, and I had to update the firmware on the camera to even get the option to use RTSP. So it seems that out-of-the-box, these cameras don't have that feature. And from what I've read, some Ezviz cameras don't even get RTSP anymore.
@@JamesOrlowski Thanks for that information, I was not aware of that. I love my Ezviz cams, I have 6 of them. Two of them are battery powered and they run about a month on one charge.

Hey and thanks for guiding me to setup my own stream ... how do you remove the ezviz logo in the upper left hand corner ? kindest regards, Klaus Willis Andresen Denmark
I am not sure how to remove that logo. That logo is embedded into the video stream that Ezviz outputs... I think the firmware imbeds that information into the stream.

Hi, thank you for this wonderful video. For this, you need an unlimited internet connection am I right?
It does take a lot of bandwidth..... Depends on what quality of video you are streaming and what else you stream. So, yes, I can not stream 24/7 because I only have 1TB of allowed data streaming per month.

I have a chicken coop and would love to live stream it but l was not sure how to do it but after watching your video I think it will be possible
A couple of items to make note of. First, you have to keep a PC running for however long you will be streaming. Also, make sure your internet provider gives you enough of a data cap.
I use a low powered mini PC for my "server".
The process is much simpler now for UA-cam streaming using the OBS Studio app.

I have these cameras and I also wanted to stream to UA-cam so I found this very interesting but I have a question.
You set everything up via your computer so the question is once set up is done does the computer have to be switched on at all times for the stream to work or can you switch your computer off and the camera still streams to UA-cam
Yes, the PC has to remain on..... That is why those inexpensive mini PC's work great for that situation. It does not take much power to run OBS Studio that supplies the video to UA-cam. Almost everyone has some view that needs to be shared...
@@clarkss12 Thank you for the quick reply I will be having a go at this. I really appreciate the time you have taken to share this
@@darynsax The only thing you have to keep in mind is your internet provider data caps. A lot of providers in the US have data caps, and can run into serious $$$ if you stream 24/7.
@@clarkss12 luckily we have unlimited data here in the UK
@@darynsax I would like to see what you will be streaming. Keep me updated....... thanks
So what was the reason to have the stream in VLC first?
Don't have to use VLC, but makes it easier to verify and copy the information needed. But originally, you needed VLC for OBS studio to work, not sure if you still need that.
Is there any way to set this up to stream directly to a cloud or UA-cam without using a computer?
Not that I am aware of
@@clarkss12 thanks Ronnie
Does The Ezviz camera streams 24/7
It can..
hey ronnie!
VLC keeps asking me fot RTST Password an user names, what should I write into that?
You have to get the username from your camera. If it is an Ezviz camera, the password is on the box or in the camera settings. You can also get the camera IP address from the camera settings....... Once you have that information, use this format. >>> rtsp://admin:AAAAAA@192.168.10.163:554/H.264. Use your IP address and your verification code in place of the AAAAA that I used as a demo.
Let me know if you need anymore info.
When I post my rtsp URL into VLC i get a popup asking for my username and password (which I enter) and then it works on VLC but I want to use it in OBS and it doesnt work because the username and password isnt in the RTSP. any ideas about this>@@clarkss12

I can’t get OSB to run my RTSP url (needs the password built into the the code but that doesn’t work in VLC app I can get the VLC to run the camera but can’t get OBS to run it) any idea why?❤ thanks😊
Haven't used my cameras for awhile to broadcast on UA-cam.
I just tested my Vizio cams, and I can't even get them to play in VLC. I have other cams from different manufacturers and they have no problem playing on OBS.....
Edit: Did a quick search and found this solution, have not tried it myself at this time.
ipcamtalk.com/threads/ezviz-disables-rtps-for-its-ip-cameras-here-is-the-fix.69927/
Edit 2: All I had to do was reboot my cameras and they are working now using the OBS Studio.
Thank you for your reply. I will go down the rabbit hole once again with the link you shared. When I input the RTSP URL into VLC I get a pop up window with username (admin) and asking for the password (which I put into the pop up window) and then the video from the cam works. But I can’t get OBS to open it and doesn’t give me a pop up to input the password. Maybe I should purchase a different security camera?
@@aawendydotcom6349 I think if you read the information from the link you posted, it will solve your problem.
Make sure your encryption is DISabled on your camera and reboot your camera. It worked for me.
I was not able to get any of my Ezviz cameras to even play on VLC, much less play on the OBS studio. Since my encryption was already DISable, all I did was reboot the camera.
For a test, I created a live feed using one of my cameras that was not working, until I rebooted the camera.
If you check my live streams, you will see my test steam.
