Just prior to watching this video I looked at a review of the Sofirn HS41 Quad SST20 LEDS 4000lm. Between these two reviews of two very different headlamps it occurred to me just how diverse and advanced headlamps have become over the years.
Battery swap is a good feature. That headband solves one the main problems with many headbands. Olight headbands being the worst of the worst. I really wish more manufacturers would lend more attention to the headbands.
Depending on the size of one's head I found the knob on the headband being very uncomfortable, not to mention the horrible plastic frame with zero cushion. My concern is that if you fell and broke the plastic rear mechanism you have to go buy a new strap, whereas the usual system wouldn't. That tension system really doesn't play nice if you have longer hair, trust me, you'll never be adjusting it while on the head. I received two units before they were officially released and I wasn't impressed, both had scratches over the plasitc lens, one had a faulty switch, both have the charging cover open while in use when it heats up. Almost every other brand is going for AUX 4000K high cri and this is a very cool white. AUX flood is a little too wide that it reflects off my nose causing glare when angled down a little. Performance wise it's not bad at all and the dual battery is nice. My issues were brought up before release and I'm disappointed they didn't take my feedback onboard. Don't be a chicken, show your damn face lol
Honestly, I didn't think about the fact that parts were not swappable onto this style headband. I appreciate that feedback. As for the hair, too many years in the military to let me have the long hair that affects this. LOL And I would show my face, but I don't want to scare away all of my viewers. :) Truthfully though, I do have some videos coming up where I won't be able to help but show my face.

We do have an HS41 on the way. It seems like a great choice, but man, 4000 lumens on the noggin would get pretty warm!

Having an easily adjustable strap makes the world of difference. Not only that, but when it is adjustable on the actual light, that's even better!
