There’s no reason to ever get invested in MK anymore. These characters and world does not matter. You’ll never see a character grow because a new version of them will pop up in a new world in a new continuity or they’ll just be retconned within the same world on a whim outright. It’s all meaningless. I hate what Mortal Kombat had become. Snow Blind is confirmation of my biggest fears for the franchise moving forward since MK11 went more in depth with this trash.

Maybe we’ll get some dumb timeline where Jax becomes Kahn of Outworld. One where Erron Black becomes the god of guns and shoots everyone dead and our only hope is Kurtis Stryker. A universe where Shinnok was secretly the good guy all along and Quan Chi has hair because why not? It’s the multiverse, right? A universe where Baraka sees the best dentist in Earthrealm and becomes president. A universe where Kitana’s real dad is Shao Kahn and her mom is actually Skarlet. Can’t put anything past em. Nothing sounds crazy anymore since we have a robot Mohawk time god Kano in mad max. That’s what MK is now. And I thought the Kaiju fight was bad.

I like that it's something we haven't seen before and I like this concentrating on more minor characters in alternate universes as what ifs for the films as I just view it as something fun to watch although I can see why that's not to everyones liking. I do wish the games were more focused on one good continuous story however instead of the mess its become. I thought the MK9 reboot was going to take us more or less through the original MK Story but with an expanded roster with more fleshed out ideas and some new ones but MK11 Aftermath went too far. I have no idea what to expect from the new game.
I still cannot believe that this out of the 3 Legends movies was the best of all of them. And surprisingly was written by the same people from the first two movies. This just shows how much they've learned from the negative feedback from the previous movie. All the twists and having a different take on the MK universe feels so much refreshing. They've combined parts of the in game lore with their own twist of it of the MK11 endings that just makes me kind of impressed. Cant believe Im saying this but PROPS TO THE WRITERS
I'll just say this. The fact we got something that used MK11 in a smart way that actually improves it's own story, is impressive. I didn't think they could make any of the ideas in MK11 really work but this film surprised me. I hope that this has some success so future writers of MK feel more comfortable doing some out there ideas and use some ideas that weren't done the best and improve on them.
Its not like any ideas on MK11 were bad, they were just misused and badly written. Some of the ideas there by themselves are actually great, which makes it even more incredible how catastrophic was their failure in the game

I think that it would be a good idea to swap sides. Like, the good guys won, but in the end they turned out to be almost worse than the former "bad guys". And the main characters in this story will be our most beloved baddies, including the Reptile. I think that would be awesome. Like, I always wanted to see Raiden getting beaten to shit.
I really liked when Kenshi said "It's blinding time" and then I realize I post outdated memes as a desperate means of feeling somehow connected with other human beings this is a cry for help, it was truly one of the moments in animation.
My friend said she showed her friend snow blind who has only seen the original Paul Anderson movies. She was somewhat enjoying the movie but when that twist happened she just went” prince of Persia ?” 😂
I appreciate the 1v3 moment a lot because it feels very realistic with the characters attempting stuff repeatedely in that situation Scorpion trying to get his swords back makes sense to give him an advantage again. Sub zero trying to freeze him 4 times is logical since freezing a dude that is being jumped on and beating their asses is a very sound strategy. Kenshi using a downward slash kinda makes sense since the others weren't attacking him with high attacks so he had to block swings and charges, so adding another direction to react to makes sense. Bonus: i fucking love how he frees his frozen arm by punching with it, i love this trope, is the most badass way of freeing frozen limbs
Im also think that the trio avoid using their "crazier" moves because they ganged up Kano and being close to each other. Kenshi swinging his sword wildly may accidently hit Sub Zero and Scorpion, Sub Zero only uses his beam because his power may hurt Kenshi and Scorpion, the same with Scorpion as he can burn anyone easily. Kinda justified that this is why Mortal Kombat is always 1vs1 lmao.
@@Abel_Unstable exactly, they had to focus the best they could on kano and not hit each other, using fire, ice storms and more katana swings would mess up the coordination, and even then they did manage to overpower him eventually so it wasn't a major loss

I love seeing The4thSnake's face when he sees Kano picking up Kronika's crown at 53:32. It's like a mixture of surprise, interest, and disappointment at the same time
My most favorite parts of the movie: - The character cameos. Although I do feel like Dairou and Drahmin should’ve gotten more action - Literally the best “Get over here” I’ve heard yet - That plot twist has to be one of the best ones I’ve seen yet. It establishes that the storyline did not take place in the garbage Legends timeline, but rather in the MK 11 timeline. It also brings up the potential for making a series of Mortal Kombat animated films that follow the arcade endings of the other characters. Imagine if we could get films based on the endings of the guest characters, Joker’s ending has the most potential to make for a great one Now my biggest disappointment and complaint about the movie: - It was super underwhelming and even stupid that neither Scorpion nor Sub Zero used the hourglass to create their arcade endings. Instead they just decide to destroy it and go back to living their boring lives in wasteland Earthrealm. It made for a pretty underwhelming, boring, and anticlimactic ending to one of the best climaxes of all time. Also, didn’t Shang Tsung say that if the Hourglass is destroyed then everything is doomed? Yeah I think I see a continuity error here

to be fair they didn't destroy the hourglass, they just destroyed the access to the room so no one could enter it again. Also I have to disagree on the ending. As much as I love sub's arcade ending, I feel like him and scorpion finally retiring and passing the clan to the new generation refreshing. They had their badass moment and now they get to rest.
Shang Tsung said that using the Hourglass without the Crown would Doom all But that's a blant lie Because Kronica resetted the time line a few time in between MK9, MK10 & MK11 So it means she was able to do so without doing the events of MK11 that leaded to her defeat Also she said that the Time Spell Raiden used in MK9 is an Undeletable Stain in the Time Line (meaning she tried to reset the time line a few times to try to erase it but failed) So what's the Purpose of the Crown and why Shang Tsung said it is needed? Well, Kronica wanted to erase Raiden and his Time Stain And as she failed (when she tried to reset the time line in between MK9~MK11) then she came with the plan of creating the Crown As for Shang Tsung: Well he is the Master of Deceptions & Manipulations Him lying shouldn't be too hard to believe 😂
I kinda like the idea of expanding on Arcade endings as their own stories. Not all of them are winners, but many of them offer interesting concepts for them to explore.

Dairou HAD to have his own agenda with Scorpion alone. That's the only way in my head-canon that would make sense. You definitely sealed the deal with the poker skit with him he absolutely would pull that in regards for Ferra-Torr 😂
In terms of the ending, I can understand not using the hourglass to fulfil their more selfish desires (Kuai Liang reviving Bi-Han etc.), but they really should have at least reversed the changes Kano made

I think the fact that they used Kano's MK11 tower ending shows that the writer is genuinely a big fan of the series, which is awesome and I'm happy everyone got the chance to make more of these after the last one was kind of bad

I showed my mom the animated MK movies, and she really likes them. She never played the games, but she has watch the old MK movies. I told her about kronika and what the hourglass was. Then I asked her about the ending of this movie. She said, "I get it. In the games, each character gets their own ending for beating the game, right? This is just a movie about one of those endings. It does a good job showing it." I was surprised.
Not trying to justify the movie, but perhaps Kuai Liang was very conscious about using his Ice Powers in close proximity around allies, especially when the 3 v 1 was done circling around Kano. This caused his Ice Powers to be weaker as a result?
I must say, personally I like this movie simply because it's telling an original story and the people who made it are no longer bound to retelling the Mortal Kombat story since it's been literally told with 2 movies. The setting is interesting because it's not set in Outworld and kind of a Mad Max environment, which I honestly rolled my eyes at since there's been alot of Mad Max parodies from what I've seen but honestly it works for the story. I'm glad that more side characters showed up in this movie like Tremor, Kira, Kabal, and Ferra/Torr (Who I was real excited and happy to see in this movie.) But I personally loved Kano as the big bad in this movie, it's not a some evil conqueror or a back stabbing sorcerer, it's a cybernetic Aussie who just wants the thrill of fighting warriors. And I'm glad that the writers stuck with it, because the scene where Shang Tsung tried to steal Kano's soul perfectly shows to us the audience that the sorcerer isn't taking over the big bad, Kano's the one who's taking that role and no else is going to take it away. And while you find the training sequence to be cliché, I personally find it unique as it's not just about becoming stronger but also improving Kensei's senses to help make up for his blindness and to not constantly rely on his magical sword to help sense everything around him. When I saw the plot twist if this movie I was honestly both shocked and happy, as you've said before Sonic: "It's a sequel to Kano's MK11 ending." And honestly this works perfectly to explain everything and why Kano is the big boss around this world. Even though Kano isn't exactly the type of guy who could rule the world, this twist gave him the advantage he needed to turn everything in his favor. Heck, he flat out states that he's experienced all of this before, while most people will think it's Kano being cryptic, I think that's just Kano telling the audience that he's used this twist alot of times. (I'm using the word 'twist' alot in case this is the first time someone has seen this video) All and all, this was a great Mortal Kombat Movie that managed to give us an interesting story that's new and never been told before. I'm glad that my favorite psychotic duo (Ferra/Torr) got to be in this movie and I loved the lil kiss Ferra gave to Old Man Sub-Zero after brutally stabbing him alot, kind of shows how crazy she kind of is. And I have to say this, because I don't know where else to say it. But Sonic, I never knew that you were the same guy who made the How to SUKK Monster C0C University video, that bow perfectly explains the youtube poop edits you make in these SUCKS videos. The one you made in this was really good and shows what's it's like to have ADD.

The reason it only got to this point is because the writers don’t know what they’re doing, cannot commit to change for better or worse, and always has to go back to nostalgia pander with holds the franchise back from ever growing and now with this multiverse garbage it NEVER WILL. Removing what never should have been in Mortal Kombat to begin with is the only way to truly fix this franchise from a story and lore perspective because even the timeline has now been tainted with this. What was wrong with the MK mythos before? Why did we need this Kronika and titans I mean really? Titans? Really? Time travel? What’s even the point?
Kenshi is one of my 2 favorite MK characters and this movie was like a birthday gift for me. When some fans heavily criticized and called it “the worst of the three”, i remember the critiques the Chainsaw Man animation received and i just got the conclusion: Sometimes, people’s opinion just suck Great video as always, Sonic!

Honestly, my biggest gripe with the Legends movies is that its tough to get invested in the story and continuity with how much they jerk you around with what's canon and what isn't. Using the different MK 11 endings for alternate universe stories is *genius* , but there's only so many times you can pull that rabbit out of the hat before it gets played out. To this day, MK 9 and the 1995 movie are the only pieces of MK media that seem to have a genuenly consistent and well thought out story, despite their flaws.
I love the idea that Kano sets up things in a way where he could in fact lose, as he said in his MK11 ending "I score lotsa wins sure, *but not always* "
I actually like that Kenshi didn't get revenge on Shang Tsung because he canonically never got revenge on him. Kenshi's story arc doesn't resolve with Shang Tsung and for once I don't find it an issue like I do elsewhere in NRS stuff eg. Jin never interacting with Liao in MKX or NoobSaibot being generally wasted.

So I have something to say about Jeremy Adams: Adams shines best when he writes character-focused stories. It's been extremely clear with the well-received Flash comics, as well as his current Jay Garrick miniseries and Hal Jordan Green Lantern ongoing, that when he allows one, or two, character to grow in one plot without getting convoluted with other subplots unrelated to the main plot, the stories just shne very brightly. And I think that's why Snow Blind was made so much better than the other two.

I started watching this movie with almost zero expectations, I just wanted to watch and end it just to add a checkmark in my MK list but this movie completely changed my view as it went on , by the end I felt genuinely fulfilled and satisfied as an MK fan. Kudos to the creatos of the movie. Loved the character designs and the way they behave, especially kuai Liang/Subzero as he is my favorite MK character.

A universe where Shinnok was secretly the good guy all along and Quan Chi has hair because why not? It’s the multiverse, right? A universe where Baraka sees the best dentist in Earthrealm and becomes president. A universe where Kitana’s real dad is Shao Kahn and her mom is actually Skarlet. Can’t put anything past em. Nothing sounds crazy anymore since we have a robot Mohawk time god Kano in mad max. That’s what MK is now. And I thought the Kaiju fight was bad.

I like that it's something we haven't seen before and I like this concentrating on more minor characters in alternate universes as what ifs for the films as I just view it as something fun to watch although I can see why that's not to everyones liking. I do wish the games were more focused on one good continuous story however instead of the mess its become. I thought the MK9 reboot was going to take us more or less through the original MK Story but with an expanded roster with more fleshed out ideas and some new ones but MK11 Aftermath went too far. I have no idea what to expect from the new game.

I'll just say this. The fact we got something that used MK11 in a smart way that actually improves it's own story, is impressive. I didn't think they could make any of the ideas in MK11 really work but this film surprised me. I hope that this has some success so future writers of MK feel more comfortable doing some out there ideas and use some ideas that weren't done the best and improve on them.
Its not like any ideas on MK11 were bad, they were just misused and badly written. Some of the ideas there by themselves are actually great, which makes it even more incredible how catastrophic was their failure in the game

Scorpion trying to get his swords back makes sense to give him an advantage again.
Sub zero trying to freeze him 4 times is logical since freezing a dude that is being jumped on and beating their asses is a very sound strategy.
Kenshi using a downward slash kinda makes sense since the others weren't attacking him with high attacks so he had to block swings and charges, so adding another direction to react to makes sense.
Bonus: i fucking love how he frees his frozen arm by punching with it, i love this trope, is the most badass way of freeing frozen limbs
Im also think that the trio avoid using their "crazier" moves because they ganged up Kano and being close to each other.
Kenshi swinging his sword wildly may accidently hit Sub Zero and Scorpion, Sub Zero only uses his beam because his power may hurt Kenshi and Scorpion, the same with Scorpion as he can burn anyone easily.
Kinda justified that this is why Mortal Kombat is always 1vs1 lmao.

I love seeing The4thSnake's face when he sees Kano picking up Kronika's crown at 53:32. It's like a mixture of surprise, interest, and disappointment at the same time
My most favorite parts of the movie:
- The character cameos. Although I do feel like Dairou and Drahmin should’ve gotten more action
- Literally the best “Get over here” I’ve heard yet
- That plot twist has to be one of the best ones I’ve seen yet. It establishes that the storyline did not take place in the garbage Legends timeline, but rather in the MK 11 timeline. It also brings up the potential for making a series of Mortal Kombat animated films that follow the arcade endings of the other characters. Imagine if we could get films based on the endings of the guest characters, Joker’s ending has the most potential to make for a great one
Now my biggest disappointment and complaint about the movie:
- It was super underwhelming and even stupid that neither Scorpion nor Sub Zero used the hourglass to create their arcade endings. Instead they just decide to destroy it and go back to living their boring lives in wasteland Earthrealm. It made for a pretty underwhelming, boring, and anticlimactic ending to one of the best climaxes of all time. Also, didn’t Shang Tsung say that if the Hourglass is destroyed then everything is doomed? Yeah I think I see a continuity error here

Also I have to disagree on the ending. As much as I love sub's arcade ending, I feel like him and scorpion finally retiring and passing the clan to the new generation refreshing. They had their badass moment and now they get to rest.

Also she said that the Time Spell Raiden used in MK9 is an Undeletable Stain in the Time Line (meaning she tried to reset the time line a few times to try to erase it but failed)
So what's the Purpose of the Crown and why Shang Tsung said it is needed?
Well, Kronica wanted to erase Raiden and his Time Stain
And as she failed (when she tried to reset the time line in between MK9~MK11) then she came with the plan of creating the Crown

I think the fact that they used Kano's MK11 tower ending shows that the writer is genuinely a big fan of the series, which is awesome and I'm happy everyone got the chance to make more of these after the last one was kind of bad

When Sub goes with Scorpion to Netherrealm, my first thought was....its Honey Netherrealm moon.
I showed my mom the animated MK movies, and she really likes them. She never played the games, but she has watch the old MK movies. I told her about kronika and what the hourglass was. Then I asked her about the ending of this movie. She said, "I get it. In the games, each character gets their own ending for beating the game, right? This is just a movie about one of those endings. It does a good job showing it." I was surprised.

Not trying to justify the movie, but perhaps Kuai Liang was very conscious about using his Ice Powers in close proximity around allies, especially when the 3 v 1 was done circling around Kano. This caused his Ice Powers to be weaker as a result?

I must say, personally I like this movie simply because it's telling an original story and the people who made it are no longer bound to retelling the Mortal Kombat story since it's been literally told with 2 movies. The setting is interesting because it's not set in Outworld and kind of a Mad Max environment, which I honestly rolled my eyes at since there's been alot of Mad Max parodies from what I've seen but honestly it works for the story. I'm glad that more side characters showed up in this movie like Tremor, Kira, Kabal, and Ferra/Torr (Who I was real excited and happy to see in this movie.) But I personally loved Kano as the big bad in this movie, it's not a some evil conqueror or a back stabbing sorcerer, it's a cybernetic Aussie who just wants the thrill of fighting warriors. And I'm glad that the writers stuck with it, because the scene where Shang Tsung tried to steal Kano's soul perfectly shows to us the audience that the sorcerer isn't taking over the big bad, Kano's the one who's taking that role and no else is going to take it away.
And while you find the training sequence to be cliché, I personally find it unique as it's not just about becoming stronger but also improving Kensei's senses to help make up for his blindness and to not constantly rely on his magical sword to help sense everything around him.
When I saw the plot twist if this movie I was honestly both shocked and happy, as you've said before Sonic: "It's a sequel to Kano's MK11 ending." And honestly this works perfectly to explain everything and why Kano is the big boss around this world. Even though Kano isn't exactly the type of guy who could rule the world, this twist gave him the advantage he needed to turn everything in his favor. Heck, he flat out states that he's experienced all of this before, while most people will think it's Kano being cryptic, I think that's just Kano telling the audience that he's used this twist alot of times. (I'm using the word 'twist' alot in case this is the first time someone has seen this video)
All and all, this was a great Mortal Kombat Movie that managed to give us an interesting story that's new and never been told before. I'm glad that my favorite psychotic duo (Ferra/Torr) got to be in this movie and I loved the lil kiss Ferra gave to Old Man Sub-Zero after brutally stabbing him alot, kind of shows how crazy she kind of is.
And I have to say this, because I don't know where else to say it. But Sonic, I never knew that you were the same guy who made the How to SUKK Monster C0C University video, that bow perfectly explains the youtube poop edits you make in these SUCKS videos. The one you made in this was really good and shows what's it's like to have ADD.

Honestly, my biggest gripe with the Legends movies is that its tough to get invested in the story and continuity with how much they jerk you around with what's canon and what isn't.
Using the different MK 11 endings for alternate universe stories is *genius* , but there's only so many times you can pull that rabbit out of the hat before it gets played out.
To this day, MK 9 and the 1995 movie are the only pieces of MK media that seem to have a genuenly consistent and well thought out story, despite their flaws.
Kano looks like a Cyber Pirate With a Modernize Coat from Deadly Alliance and this is the Most Muscular Sub-Zero Ever Been in the Franchise.

I actually like that Kenshi didn't get revenge on Shang Tsung because he canonically never got revenge on him. Kenshi's story arc doesn't resolve with Shang Tsung and for once I don't find it an issue like I do elsewhere in NRS stuff eg. Jin never interacting with Liao in MKX or NoobSaibot being generally wasted.

It's been extremely clear with the well-received Flash comics, as well as his current Jay Garrick miniseries and Hal Jordan Green Lantern ongoing, that when he allows one, or two, character to grow in one plot without getting convoluted with other subplots unrelated to the main plot, the stories just shne very brightly. And I think that's why Snow Blind was made so much better than the other two.

I started watching this movie with almost zero expectations, I just wanted to watch and end it just to add a checkmark in my MK list but this movie completely changed my view as it went on , by the end I felt genuinely fulfilled and satisfied as an MK fan. Kudos to the creatos of the movie. Loved the character designs and the way they behave, especially kuai Liang/Subzero as he is my favorite MK character.
