True what they say " Once a dancer , always a dancer "
Amira Safwat true, coming from a ballet dancer
it’s true, I haven’t been in a dance class since I was 12 but I’m still a dancer at heart
lol except in my case, haven’t danced in 2 years and i’ve been doing pretty rough lately 😂😂
The high point of my dancing career came when I was in the first act of the annual production of The Nutcracker with the Scottish Ballet, I was 13. That was 40 years ago, I stopped dancing after my parents divorced when I was 14, but I still get told, "you hold yourself like a dancer"....it never leaves you

You can take the girl out of ballet but you can’t take ballet out of the girl 😆
LiveToDance ahaha i love that
you can take the boy out if the fight but you can't take the fight out of the boy :o
I dance to live
I love that 😂it’s also true
Sophie Wysocki ooh that’s good
My principal once told me, “Once you have good technique, you don’t lose it”.
J K Pegasisters that’s a lie
J K Pegasisters unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to apply to me.....😂 but seriously 😑
She’s never been in guard
The technique doesn't really go away. It's just that you need to build back the strength/flexibility/balance required to do it.
I can attest to that, I am a horse rider, even though I started pretty late age wise and didn't train for almost 5 years, I got back to it and it kind of took me three lessons to get back on track. It has a lot to do with muscle memory and how your brain remembers. Just like riding a bike after years or swimming or whatever. You don't have to start from the ground if you pick them up again :)
"I haven't done a fouette in 5 years..."
*immediately does a triple into 16*
Bless your little heart! Your students are lucky to have you.
nevroth I wish she could teach me im 11 years old in probably to young anyways I take point and it’s rlly fun but my feet have grown to much and I can barley get my point shoes on so..... also my dance recital is in a couple weeks like 2 or 3 weeks...
Nope 15 years
@Alicia Shen what is the english way?
@@mattieplayzfan894 noooo Im 12 but already learning fouettes, your not too young
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account?
I was dumb lost my password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me
When Claudia not dancing for over four years is still a lot better than you will probably ever get
Eleanor Baker Indeed.☺
Eleanor Baker that's do freaking relatable
I was actually thinking the same thing😂
same lol same
Eleanor Baker I’m better
I do the Can I still dance challenge? Whenever I go back to dance after being gone for a week.
Lol same with me but for figure skating
😂😂😂
Andrea Rodriguez omg totally 😂😂
Ok sameeeee 😂😂😂😂
Do you know what PJ is
I want her old ballet teacher to react to this
If you have any old clips of you performing you should definitely upload them!!
There's this Royal Ballet clip of a rehearsal of the Rite of Spring, but I don't know of any others... ua-cam.com/video/OZ97W_rRGiQ/v-deo.html
@@Teverell thanks for sharing! Her lips looked quite different back then... 🤔
Black Swan... wing it... I see what you did there!
haha lol
hearsthewater hahaha
The fact that u can just look at a dance and memorise it so easily, wow 10/10 from me aha
If you look she's kind of marking as she's watching, I wouldn't be surprised if she had learned a lot of these variations when she was still training regularly.
@@faithandrewsoneal4467 I noticed
No idea why this showed up in my recommended, but I haven't taken ballet in 15 years, maybe I should try an easier version of this challenge, because I'd definitely hurt myself trying this lol
It has been more than 10 years since I took ballet, and I probably have trouble getting my shoes on.
I have never taken anything resembling a ballet class and yet here I am.
Haven't took ballet for six years so I get it
Good
How do you stop for 5 years then dance like you are onstage... Girl, you had some of the best training ever!!!
Yes. You are a,strong dancer. Peace and Blessings to you
Ara Cod!? Ara Cod!?= So dramatic😂😂😂
I want to see her try a whole variation!!
Hi Claudia! I’m 12 years old and I live in Australia to!!! I did ballet a few years ago, but decided to stop!! For the past year I’ve been regretting that decision😢 I found your channel and started LOVING ballet even more again! I told my parents and now I’m starting ballet again!!!!!
Without ballet in the last four years?? 😱😭😭. That was great! ☺️😍 Part 2? 😁😁😁
I bet not too many teachers could still do such a brilliant job of those excerpts. I think your assistant has a cruel side though! :D
Great job 👍🏻 you’re still flexible 👌🏻
Solaf’s World Yeahh! I wonder if she's those people who are naturally flexible?
Jeyli Guandqiue well she is a trainer so I'm sure she stretches and stays in shape
Havent danced in 4 years has never looked so good😂 x
you just make it look so easy😭
"I'm just gonna wing it"
... on a swan variation.... 🤣🤣🤣
Wait whats a swan variation, I’m not s dancer I just love watching dance
@@erinkelley1212 A variation from Swan Lake, which is known as one of the ballet with the most technical variations EVER
That is so amazing to be able to dance like this after 4 years without classes! PLEASE keep doing classes and ballet training for yourself just in case (even if coaching is your passion), PLEASE don't loose it!
Even as a coach you should continue educating and training yourself. I was shocked she said she hadn't taken a class in 4 years.
"My record was 64" I can do like 10
lizzyfelloutofthedisco x I can barely do 3 before I either forget to spot and get dizzy, then fall over or my toes start killing me and I just give up........ 10 is amazing, let alone 64!!!!🙀😹😿
lizzyfelloutofthedisco x i can only do like 5 on pointe and they suck
pfft i can do 0. im a dancer but not on pointe yet. NEXT YEAR PPL NEXT YEAR
@@louisae5796 you on pointe yet?
I’ve just my pointe shoes yesterday I’m not gonna even try without taking any classes yet
Hey Claudia! You did amazing! I can’t believe you’ve haven’t took a ballet class for 4 years!
Would you be able to make a beginner ballet class video please? And not with pointe shoes just slippers (Follow along style?) I would very much appreciate it, but I know you can’t make a video for only one person😂
Also do you have any tips for improving winged feet?
I would appreciate that too.
Me too~ i love your idea
Yesyesyesyesyesyesyes that’s a great idea
I was a ballerina up until I was 14. The best way to start it to stretch. You will have to learn on Demi pointe as all beginners do and learn to balance. So stretch, warm up, posture and balance. If you can start with those simple steps and learning your positions then you’ll begin well. I always do Barre work in the kitchen when I’m cooking. Haven’t done ballet in thirteen years but, you enjoy just the small things you can still do
Taken a ballet class, not took.
Pass! Your real challenge will be walking for the next few days! 😛😄
"Uhh not doing that triple..." does perfect triple to start fouettes 😂 that was great! Do you have any tips for steps like the giselle hops that have the ankle in the 'retracted' position? Or exercises to build strength for those steps?
Hasn’t dance for 5 years - is more graceful than I will ever be in my life after never stopping
Claudia, you are such a sport, with a wonderful unassuming personality. You get a definite thumbs up from me for taking on these challenges, without having done a ballet class in such a long time. Says something about good, solid training when one is young, embedding those muscle memories, and says something about the level you attained when you quit to be able to fall into the challenges so well.
this was so fun to watch! please do a part 2!
After 4 years and you are still sooo good 😍💘✨
You are so entertaining, funny and a gorgeous ballerina! You never have to think I was waiting for this challenge. Many of us already know from your tutorials.... you can dance!!
Lol she was like ok bishes, lemme show you dis right here. #IStillGotIt #ThatsTECHNIQUEBoo lmao Get IT.

Have you ever watched Kathryn Morgan on youtube? I would love to see you do something similar to her commentary videos on her previous dancing with NYCB!
Agree. Kathryn is great. It's amazing how much you learn from just watching other dancers. Not that I will ever achieve anything like their standard! But it really helps to improve within your own limitations, and encourages you to keep going.
me 2
I kind of squealed when I saw the Kitri part because that is my all time favorite ballet solo and you definitely were able to pull it off!!! And Marianela really is amazing
I'm not a ballerina but i absolutely love watching your videos. Your poise, grace and enthusiasm for the art of ballet is infectious.
This is amazing! I’ve always wanted to learn how to do ballet using those shoes but I’ve heard it can be painful lol
Edit: (because ppl seem to still be replying on this comment) 1. I’m not a noob at ballet. I know you obviously can’t just get up & try using the shoes without practice. I’m not stupid. 2. If you don’t know how to read, I said I wanted to LEARN how
Simply Mel it is trust me, but it’s REALLY fun!!!
It’s definitely painful. But it’s so beautiful lol.
It’s definitely not something you should just try. Pointe shoes can severely injure you without years of training first. It’s beautiful but extremely difficult work.
#unicorns are awesome.....So are Pegasus⭐️
I have been a dancer on pointe for 6 years, not going to lie it is painful but it’s so gorgeous to watch!!!
This was awesome. Please do more like this!
So adorable, Claudia! Never doubted your talent for a minute but it was wonderful to see you dance all the same! Those fouetté were amazing! Defiantly a pass for me!
NICE! i totally lost all my calf strength after 4.5 years of no pointe work. was so hard to get back up lol
I come back and watch this every so often because it's just so FUN to see. Your joy in dance, your gameness to try anything, your willingness to give it a go even though you don't know if you'll be able to, the amazing muscle memory we get to watch as you do what you trained so hard for... It's just a delight to watch you smile and dance and laugh and show what serious training can do.
Train then muscle memory never forgets U rock!
You were AMAZING!!!!Literally you nailed this challenge.I did ballet for 2 years at the age of 4-5.But i had to stop. But i didn't give up on my dream that one day i would be a good ballet dancer. Now i do the lessons by myself.I'm 14 now and i hope that at 18 i would buy a pair pointe shoes.I hope that my feet would be ready.I watch every video in your channel and you inspiring me to continue ballet even it's impossible for me to get as good as the other girls in my age who are doing ballet. Love from Greece, your fan,Maria.❤❤❤❤❤🇬🇷😘😘😘
“i literally haven’t done a fouetté in 5 years.”
me: *tries to do a pirouette, falls. does pirouettes everyday*
What idiots gave u a thumbs down? I'd like to see these haters do any of these challenges or even Give u a thumbs down while doing anything on point. How dare they give u a thumbs down!!!!!!!!! UR amazing girl wow...u make it look so easy but just standing for 5 sec on point is f'ing hard as f!!! Great job
You know, « thumb down » means that a user doesn’t want the same type of videos in his youtube recommended videos, that’s all.
Wow!!! You’re still sooo good!! I want a part 2 please!! 💜💜💜💜
Respect
The answer is definitely yes
Great to see you dancing, would love to see more 💕
holy!! 4 years and still killin it!!
Amazing!!! Part 2 please 💗😍
“I haven’t done this in 5 years” *is still better at ballet than I’ll ever be*
I watched this a few months ago n I just had to come back and watch it again. This just shows how strong and most importantly how talented you are. 4 yrs of not dancing or taking a class. Amazing!!! I swear I think you could have been a prima. Love this!!!
That was just fabulous 😃 What a great sense of humour and impressive that you can pull that off after so many years. Kudos!
“I’m just gonna wing it”
*while doing Black Swan*
I was a dancer for 12 years and quit when I got to high school :( I'm 25 now. this makes me miss ballet. You are amazing still!!😍😍
Me: can do only one pirouette
Claudia: wizzing about...
For not doing anything in four years you are so incredible
You did it so well despite you haven’t dance for 5 years!! Congratulations Claudia👏🏻🌟 I love so much your videos ♥️ thanks for all the tips and exercises you always give us! 🤗 greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽
Ahhhhhhh.......I SOOOOOO would love to see you dancing again....you are gorgeous!!!
I love how you’re just determined to do the moves! You inspire me to get back into dancing 💖
A-MA-ZING! Insane after 4 years! 😍
Wonderful to see you dance!!!
That was really enjoyable and you were awesome 👏
I got so happy when Marianela's Kitri variation came, and even happier to hear you talk about how wonderful she is! ☺️❤️
Loved this, was so fun & its great to see you dance! Amazing that you still dance so well after such a while off. The only down side to this - is now I really really want to see you dancing some roles. Would love to see your Odette/Odile, Giselle and every role really :D
Yayayayayayay I’ve been waiting for this!!
YES CLAUDIA!! I've honestly been waiting to see you dance for, like, forever!
Wow, you’re still an incredible dancer. You should do more like this. Love ya! ✌🏻♥️
Absolutely stunning. All I see is beauty, even when you messed up. You are still awesome and even if you didn't dance for 50 years, I am certain you will still rock dancing ballet. Wow, that was amazing.
We need part 2 Claudia , you are such an awesome dancer even after those years! Love from Greece 🇬🇷
Και νόμιζα ότι ήμουν η μόνη Ελληνίδα σε αυτό το βίντεο 😵😹
You're videos are so helpful!!💗 Thank you Miss Claudia and of course you did good it's not easy getting back to dance after a while but you're a strong dancer and what matters is that you do what you love!!💕
I loved how you were talking about nela. She’s the nicest person ever, love her so much. Especially for the insane talent she has, she is so down to earth and humble. I have the pleasure of knowing her personally and it’s so incredible❤️
YOU ROCKED THE CHALLENGE BY THE WAY
U r sooooo amazing u did it all sooo well I literally clapped my hands just now when i was watching the video 😍
Amazing, mind blown!
After a serious injury I had to leave the dancing world to recover and for years I wasn't able to dance. After a good 5 years I started it up again and it was as if I never stopped. My mom told me that it's just a part of me, you can't unlearn it❤️
OMG DANCE AGAIN FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! I’m impressed! 😍🙌🏼
I love this!! Thank you for showing the real.
Wow you were amazing considering how long you haven’t danced! And wow you can just memorise at one glance! Amazing!
Please could you do a video of you watching your old ballet performances x
Loved seeing your sense of humour in this one ! (Plus you nailed it!)
Wow you're still so great!!! I just saw the new leotards I'm so excited💜
Part two more videos like this 😂❤️😍👌🔥😇
I remember the first time I saw this video and didn't understand anything. Now that I've been studying and learning about ballet I know just how wonderful you are, Claudia.
Absolutely INCREDIBLE! For not dancing in 4 years, you're definitely better than everyone I know, even the people that have been taking classes consistently for the past 10 years
you are amazing
You are so gifted! ♥ 💃
Wow! Not bad at all! You've inspired me to make a comeback, haven't had class since 2015, barely made it through. I'm 51and have an 8 year old, but I danced professionally for 20 years, thanks love! 😍
You were amazing! I wouldn’t be able to do that even if I practiced my whole life 😂
Omg I want another video like this!
Yes this was amazing and really enjoyable to watch !! I love it!!
This randomly showed up in my recs and I haven't smiled this much in ages. You are such a pleasure to watch, oh my goodness sooo beautiful. I have to share this with EVERYONE!
I wish I could have that confident trying those fouettes on pointe. My knee is just a full of nothing! hahaha!
You were amazing! :3
So gorgeous!!! Makes me miss doing pointe.
Hey, kudos to you! I think you did amazingly well. Wow! Your Giselle hops were particularly lovely, beautiful arm work. Woot for you!
Love that you just put yourself out there like this. You're still exceptional! 😃
Thank you for this reminder that dancing can be serious or it can be fun, it can be both or one or the other. Thanks to remind that it's okay to not be in the BEST shape you've been or could be (talking about myself here) but that wherever you are still have value. =)
Your make up and matching tank !!!!!!!!! The eyeshadow and lipstick color.....i really really love that! You look so AMAZING
Well done! You did so well!
i’ve been out of dance for a day and you’ve been out for years and you literally still have that talent wow
Wow well done Claudia!!! That's so impressive considering how long you haven't been in productions!!! You're an amazing teacher though and I think many ballet teachers today could learn from your kind nature mixed with your expertise. I always think you look like a little Barbie doll, you're such a lovely person and I wish you the best in the future. I got on pointe in January and I often come here to find pointe work videos so thanks for the help 💖💖💖
