Looking forward to your more in-depth video on the A6X vs Nova Air. I own the A5X and I mostly use it for taking notes at work. But I would like a smaller form factor as a personal digital notebook. Moving from an iPad and Apple Pencil, I'm pretty well "re-trained" by my 5X to not venture too far beyond note-taking and some light book and document reading. But perhaps(?) I'll take advantage of the NA's greater capabilities as long as they're there. I guess I'll find out when it arrives from Amazon shortly. I will say that in-between the iPad and the A5X I ordered a Note Air and ended up returning it. I just didn't like the "feel" of the Note Air; very cold to the touch, as you mentioned. But as strange as this may seem, I also felt kind of "detached" from it due to its sleekness and elegance; as if it were trying too hard to "glam up" note-taking and reading. It's like wearing a tuxedo to a McDonald's. That disconnection extended to the writing as well: the pen and screen combination was too slippery to mimic paper and an ink pen. I remember the pen itself being heavy, like it was designed to scream "premium!" And at the time, and for work, the other features of the Note Air weren't worth it to me. So I returned it and got the A5X. I'm "fine" with having another SuperNote, only smaller. But maybe the Nova Air and the potentially different context in which I'll be using it will make for a better overall Boox experience.
Thanks for the really interesting thoughts, enjoyed reading them. I know what you mean about the two devices! Please do stop by and let me know how you get on with the Nova Air!
Hello, thank you for this video. when you wrote on the supernote, I heard a glass sound like when we are writing on an ipad. Comparing supernote and boox nova air, which one you think is most identifical to paper?
I just took delivery of the A6X and I love it so far. I did have an iPad Mini 6 but I found the additional capabilities would too easily distract me from writing. With the Kindle app, the A6X is a great paper notebook replacement and e-reader while I'm on the go (Paperwhite stays by my beside for nighttime reading). For my needs the Boox would probably do too much, and like an iPad provide too many distractions.
@@KitBetts-Masters a few weeks in, still love the Supernote. Tempted by the Boox mainly out of curiousity to see what it is capable of, but not interested enough to consider ditching my A6X. Using it daily for journalling and also started to take notes of books I am currently reading. While the larger A5X is tempting, my preference will be to wait until they are able to come out with the A4-sized device; hopefully later this year.
Which eink device that embedes annotations (highlights) within epub so when migrating to a new device it stays within the book and not lost as we upgrade the device?
Not 100% sure on that one. My suggestion would be to get in contact with them through their website, Twitter it be Reddit, they respond pretty quickly in my be experience.
Thanks for the video! Does the Supernote have a web browser of any sort? I'm a reader so I don't care as much about apps, but it would be nice to read online news articles.
Very well presentation! May i ask... If i want it only for reading ebooks, does any of those translate a full paragraph ad the Google book reader in the phone pop up the translation from the story? If so... Does any of those support greek translation? Keep up the good work!
Hello! I've watched so many of your videos and they are so informative, and I appreciate them! So, first, thank you so much! My question is, can you help me find the right one for me? I'm looking to replace my planner and/or calendar. I have a lot of to do lists. I have ADHD so I write everything on sticky notes. I can't keep track of them so I place them alI in a notebook. So I need to replace a notebook. I tried bullet journaling and I just can't keep up with it so I'm hoping one of these will help me out. I love the star function on the Supernote because I think that is part of my problem, not being able to find things. I am an office manager for an amusement ride inspection company so I also have to fill out a lot of pdf documents. With that being said, I'm looking to write out info on a pdf and translate it to text. Is that possible? From watching all your videos, I'm thinking the Supernote would be great, but I'm worried about the China lockdown and don't want to wait that long as I am working. I really do love the dictate to voice recording function on the Boox, tho. So I am just a hot mess. lol. I was wondering what your thoughts are? I really appreciate your time.
Hiya. I think you're thinking down the right lines. I'm not 100% you'll be able to convert to text on the pdfs on supernote, but in my experience the handwriting recognition isn't great on the boox devices! Also the distraction thing of the boox devices could not suit you perfectly! However you will find a way to do whatever you need to in the boox note air 2! So I think you need to be honest with yourself, do you NEED some of those Android features, it will the distraction thing just ruin your experience?!
@@KitBetts-Masters apparently there was a bug with battery consumption while note taking. The time was independent of back-light, so probably some other process was hogging the battery power. Is this bug still present?
Well...th hand writing converting tool is soo primitive: can you take a doc , you wrote earlier in time..and make th device turn it into text? If soo..please help... Th converting facility takes 50seconds for ruffly 3 lines of text...and if you re a passionate writer,..you got to stop and wait..cause it only allows 1 page at a time....plus, it sometimes mistakes pressure with “ converting action...and..stop again..wait..wait wait.. To return it, l d have to loose 200$ ..so l m stuck with it.. Unless they fix this converting issue...l dont need it
Hello, which one are you referring to? You are right the handwriting to text feature is never going to be a faster way to work than a keyboard if you are at all capable with one. Maybe I need to do a test conversion speed and accuracy comparison?!
Does the A6 have the same features as A5 as to the super note goes ?

How well do they recognize other languages, like Swedish?
Not 100 sure on this, but I think most are currently limited to about five languages.

Which has the better battery life for note taking
Hiya, not something I've been able to test fairly! It's say it's pretty even though, and both well comfortably last a week!

Anyone have alternative pens and folios for the supernote a5x? Would really help reduce the cost
Etsy folios?
Supernote is crazy exp for UK market
Yes, I do wish they would sell directly in the UK, the import is pretty prohibitive!
My Boox Air arrived today ! Started using straight away, no time to read the manual just yet. But so far very good !
