Even though this video is now 2 years old, the tips are all still relevant today. I too decided to use Note and Document folders for Personal and Work root folders to keep the structure as flat as possible. I like the idea of using the root folders as inboxes and having an archive folder in each. Many thanks for sharing the tips. If you happen to use Supernote with Notion, I would love to get a sense of your workflow.
I have had my supernote for a while and love that there is no bright light shining in my eyes anymore. I haven't used anything else for notes and word docs since I got it. Love that you don't have to have wifi connection to transfer files onto my computer harddrive. I would recommend this to anyone who takes a lot of notes or word docs.
I appreciate the tips you offer and look forward to exploring your practices. One idea for a video is how you manage files between your supernote and computer / online system would be of interest.
Love Supernote , new user. Enjoyed discovering your channel. It's great to watch videos I don't have to speed up - helpful and intelligent education on good practices, and gently relaxing!
I love your videos! Thank you for taking the time to create them and to share your knowledge, workflow, and experience. It really is helpful! I have pre ordered my A5X and can’t wait to receive it sometime in Feb. I’ll be going through you videos again at that time lol
Thank you for making these walkthroughs, they really helped me the make the right decision about my purchase (also reassure me I made a right decision of investing in it ) :)
You made me buy this thing, thanks alot for the clean reviews you provided. I wish if there was affiliate link or something that i could support your channel.
Thanks for this video! Your Supernote feature overviews convinced me to sell my Boox and make the switch to Supernote. If possible, I'd be really interested to see what your project tracker layout looks like. This is something I struggled with visualizing on my Boox and love to see how other folks tackle that sort of thing. Apologies if it's in another video and I missed it!
Thank you so much for your review. It's really nice to see you take the time and explain the features and functionality of the device. I did purchase the A5X and really like it. However, I'd like to learn more about some specific functions (more than note taking or reading) that are not explained well in the manual. I'm having trouble with the mail setup (is it only compatible w/ Gmail, QQ, or iCloud - not any other mail server?) as well as the LAN Transfer function (can you only transfer from Supernote to other device and not the other way around?). I have the Partner App, but they don't seem to be talking to each other (yes, they're on the same wifi network). The calendar sync is important too for me, but maybe that's related to the Google-only compatibility? Anyway, thanks again for your review. I do appreciate it!
I suggest either posting on the Reddit/Facebook or reaching out to Supernote via email since I don't use the email function on the SN, or the SN app. :)
Thank you for making this organization video! I am wondering if you ha e a video on how to download the hyperlinked templates, daily organizers. I don't see myself using the yearly planner because I like to have just one master calendar that merges my Google and Outlook calendars.
For hyperlinked PDFs you just have to put the file in your Supernote and write on it :) Templates can’t be linked, the PNG files should just be put in your MyStyle folder so you can use them. You might find my beginner guide helpful: ua-cam.com/video/BcvVz8SbrJk/v-deo.html
I'd like to hear your take on protecting sensitive information. Is it as simple as keeping the device completely offline? Any features I would be "missing out" on? My main purpose is to replace hard copy notebooks, planners, and millions of post it notes.
I would say aside from the features that logically need an internet connection (e.g. email) you wouldn't be missing anything. You do need to connect to the internet at least once during setup (I think the text conversion needs to download something) but can use it offline after. I use mine offline as well so everything in this video will work; I do all my file transfers via USB.
Do you still use the stars for tasks now that the easy link to 'to do's' is there. If not, what do you now use the stars for? I just got the supernote yesterday and I'm still figuring out how to best use all the features.
I like your ideas. Still confused though. I want to put my therapy notes from daily sessions in Document file as you suggest for Work. Can I go by month and put all notes in there by daily? Then start new folder for next month? I just cant figure this out. And I need to use the cloud (with BAA agreement) because storage will run out right?
Dropbox! I have had my SNa5x for about a month and as a non-tech, LOVING your videos. You do a wonderful job of making the concept simple, easy to follow and calming. I have spent "hours" trying to figure out how to use the Sync function. I chose Dropbox professional because I need HIPPA compliance for my notes. I've followed all the advice I could find, but am obviously missing something. Please Help!! I can drop thing in there, but when I had things downloaded in my laptop folder, said it synced complete but the PDFs are no where to be found on Supernote, just more layers added to laptop file. Please save me! I use MAC for Home and PC for work . . .

this was a very helpful video. I have my SN for half a year and I am super happy. One Question: How do you copy your notes/stickers from one Notebook to an other? I couldn't find this feature yet.
Hi! I’ve really enjoyed the few videos you’ve posted. I’m currently weighing up getting a Supernote. I currently type everything I do, use digital calendar app and todo lists but want to start using backlit screens less and less. I’m a bit torn with what size to get. I think it’ll be a 60/40 or 50/50 split between light note taking and reading. Are you willing to share what factors went into your decision for size? I’m also worried I won’t end up using it much! I tried the iPad and Apple Pencil for about a month but found I ended up going back to just typing everything because it “felt faster”…. But I realised I ended up never going back to typed out notes anyway! Agh! Thanks for your awesome content. Your voice is great! (Edit - typos)
Hi! First of all, thanks for the compliment on the voice-like many people, I think recordings of my voice sound very weird, so I really appreciate it! :) About your questions, I'm going to say sorry in advance for a very long comment but here goes: I decided on the size based on the paper notebooks I was using, since they were much closer in page size/footprint to the A6X compared to the A5X. It's really just personal preference in that regard. I will say that for writing in full paragraphs (like this comment haha) I still type it, because it is literally faster/more practical for me than writing out an essay and typing it up later. On reading, if you're reading many PDFs with really small font (e.g. academic papers) I would go bigger. Reading "normal size" PDFs *at length* on the A6X is okay but not optimal imo. For epubs, and PDFs you can export to bigger font size, etc. I think the size is a non-issue. I also was pretty worried it would end up a frivolous purchase when I got it, but the intro to this video is not an exaggeration, I used to always have notebooks for different purposes floating around my desk before consolidating to just the A6X. I find that some things just feel... better? more intuitive? when done "by hand" (plotting and moving around my deadlines, brainstorming, taking notes during a class or meeting) instead of through an app, and I retain more information, so I have never been able to switch fully to Notion or whatever. While I still use an app/my Apple Watch for smaller daily agenda stuff (e.g. alarms for calls/meetings) I really, really enjoy having the benefits of digital notes without the LED screen time. Definitely a splurge purchase, even then, but unfortunately e-ink in general is still pretty niche!
if you make a random note, and you add it to an existing notebook later on.. do you have to select what you wrote copy and paste it? or are the pages added to the end of your existing noteboom?
Hi, wonderful, clear video! I need to organize my notes by date. I would like to be able to go to a calendar view (preferably a month view) and hyperlink to all the notes I took on any given day. Do you know if that's possible? Thanks!

I've seen some say the templates make writing difficult on this size, and that would sway me to the 5x, as I plan to use a lot of templates. It seems to be easier to find templates for the 5x as well, but maybe I'm wrong on that. Great videos!
I prefer this size, but just FYI you shouldn’t let the availability of templates be a factor-the two have the exact same resolution since the A6X is 300 ppi and the A5X is 226 so any templates that work on one work on the other :)
@@pixelleaves oh okay, I didn't know that, so thanks for the info. I truly feel the ones stating the templates are too small for the 6x, is simply because of preference or what they're used to. Thanks!
