I have a PO Box. I never had an issue using my regular address, but I do like the added layer of privacy. If you do next day anyway, you don't really have anything to lose. And it does offer a few discounts
Have a question my daughter and I have a store register under her name. We started it when C hit, been going ever since. So she has went back to work full time and now it’s mine to continue with. So it is registered under my name & social for taxes. How do we do this and keep our ebay name and ratings? Appreciate and advice you could give.
Are you asking how to transfer the account from her name to yours? If so, eBay doesn't actually allow transfer of ownership from one person to another. Here's some information about that...

I was able to change the name of my account. But I have never been able to change my account to show my married name (married 21 years!) I talked to EBay and they were able to change it so that it shows correctly for the bank, but my invoices still show my former name. It’s not a big deal (I don’t think), but it doesn’t seem like it should be that hard 🤷🏻♀️
You wouldn't think it would be that hard. We know you're not the only one to get married and change their name.

Yes, the example that I showed in this video doesn't have a store subscription. It's not even an account that I really try to sell anything from. I have some merch there, but I really use it just to make videos and teach from.

Hi I am confused with international shipping I have item listed $xxxx plus 18$ standard shipping. I have an offer from buyer in Italy. I know I ship to us international hub and they take over. Where does the 18$ go? Do I get a label from eBay to ship to hub. ???
The $18 is part of your total payment from the buyer. You will purchase the label to eBay's shipping hub. When your funds are cleared by eBay, you will get the purchase prices plus the shipping you charged. Whatever it cost the buyer to ship from eBay to Italy is paid directly to eBay. You don't see that or deal with that. You are only responsible for shipping it to the hub and the $18 you charged will pay for that. If there's any extra, that goes to you. If it costs a little more than $18 to get to the eBay hub, you're responsible for that. ALL THE CHARGES TO GET IT FROM THE EBAY HUB TO ITALY ARE HANDLED BY EBAY AND THE BUYER. :-)
Can you change other acct information such as owner of acct and SS #. I want my husband to take over our acct.
The short answer from eBay is, "No." Their exact words are, "In the interest of protecting our buyers and sellers, and maintaining a safe marketplace, you can't sell your eBay account or change its ownership." That said, I know that you can change virtually everything but the birthday. You'd have to call customer service for that. eBay doesn't want accounts changing ownership. But I have wondered myself about husband/wife accounts. Especially if one passes away.

Yes, you could get move to a basic shop without it causing you to lose your feedback and transactions. That is how it works in the US and I've never heard anything different about eBay in any other country.
How do you change the tax id and social security number
eBay doesn't allow the transfer of an account from one person to another. So, you wouldn't be able to change your tax ID or social security number without working with eBay directly. I'd reach out to eBay for Business on Facebook and see if they can help.

Changing your username, like I've done here, will change the account name to whatever you've selected.

Yes, the account name will be the same as your store name. When I changed this to The ChaChingKing, it changed the account name. It doesn't change your own personal name that exists within the personal information. @@Beadknotafrayed
Apparently I have two different accounts. I uploaded the eBay app on my iPhone plus I have another account apparently on the computer. Do they need to be the same? Reason I’m asking is I tried to upload my pictures from my phone directly to my listing on the computer with no success. Now I am 64 and a little bit of a dummy when it comes to computers. Don’t hold that against me.
It's SO much easier if you are using one account. I have two, but I really only use one of them for testing and for creating UA-cam videos. The vast majority of our business is done on one account. You could probably just log out of the account you are not wanting your items listed on and log back into the proper account. That's what I would do.

Changing your name won't make you appear as a new seller if you weren't already a new seller. It didn't when I changed the name on my main store several years ago. And, I think it's very similar in Canada. I don't have a way to test it from here, but I think it's the same.
I have new selling account on eBay and listed 2 new items I need to ask how many items I can list on new account as eBay has asked me to pay £0.72 I have a message appearing on eBay saying that your selling funds are below 0.00 due to outstanding selling cost what does that mean friend guide me and let me know thanks. How many costs are there on eBay is there listening cost aswel it’s my new account ?
Typically, you can list up to 10 items or $500 cumulative with a brand new account. Unless you choose to include things like BOLD text, any charges incurred by selling an item will come out of the proceeds of the sale. Typically, you don't owe anything up front when you list. You might contact eBay for Business on Facebook. They have the ability to see your account and can tell you exactly what you are seeing.

how many ebay accounts can a person have?
I actually asked eBay this question because I needed to create an account in order to make a video showing how that's done. As long as you aren't creating an account to circumvent a suspension or a ban, there's no limit or problem with creating additional accounts.

You don't lose any followers when you change your name. You could potentially break any links that were tied to the old name.
