I have seen her when she started posting, it didn’t take long before I felt like burning my guitar 😂, Unbelievable talent though seriously hard work! Herman Li (Dragonforce) was shocked by what he saw when he watched her cover of Through the fire and flames - his work! He was speechless!
Highly suggest Steve Vai's "For the Love of God", also Dragon Force's "Through The Fire and Flames" and maybe Jason Becker, "Attitudes" to start with. There are many more great solos form Tina S. Been a fan of her's for over 6 years. Enjoy
One of the 3 best reactions among hundreds on this cover ! Thank you, and thank you also for putting Valentina Lisitsa's version on the piano, which is my favorite.
I believe this video was recorded by Renaud Louis-Servais, Tina's guitar teacher at the time. Fun fact, according to his website, this teacher also gave guitar lessons to Danny Villarreal from The Warning, which I am a fan of.
Yes, In a fan’s chat, Dany praised Renaud for the things she learned from him, his kindness and his pedagogy. Renaud was a French guitar hero himself and as a teacher has trained dozens of skilled guitarists ww; he is is one of the most praised electric guitar teacher.
Her teacher Renaud LOUIS-SERVAIS : Renaud LS 16/3/2022 on UA-cam : "Thank you for reacting to this video of my little protected Tina. "I made her work on a lot of pieces, but only a part was the subject of videos. On the other hand, everything that has been filmed is online."
Tina S now composes her own music within the band Spin Twice but this is not focused on guitar solos. She said in her teen she was focused on acquiring skills whereas now she is focused on the music she likes.

Tina S is a highly accomplished and technically proficient guitar player. Her playing has been likened to the virtuosic and dynamic style of the legendary composer Mozart, suggesting that if he were alive today, he may compose music akin to Tina S's guitar performances. Tina S's guitar playing is characterized by lightning-fast fretwork, intricate and complex arrangements, and a deep understanding of music theory and technique that allows her to push the boundaries of the instrument. It has been noted that Tina S, while in high school when this was recorded, considered guitar playing as a hobby.
Tina is nothing short of a phenomenon…. I was very surprised at how underwhelmed you guys were at this performance….I mean come on, you’re practically flat lining while she’s playing 15 notes per second flawlessly 😮
Adrian calls himself a master of understatement 😀 it’s true we don’t tend to perform as much as other reactors, but we don’t put anything up that we ended up not liking. You can consider coverage of any artist to be something of an endorsement.
I've watched this Dr VIOSSY cover 50 times and I always discover something ! - To do tapping, she put a hair elastic at the top of the neck to avoid resonances. Everything - is calculated and very precise at Tina. - She also put a string block nut at the top to prevent her strings from flying away !! - She changed her micro setting 7 times during the song. - She made 23 slides (wiiiiooooouuu). - She smiled 7 times too. - And she doesn't forget to turn the knob after the last note. - She removed the whammy bar. - She took the classical guitar position on her left leg.
An enjoyable watch...sort of Trans-Siberian meets Van Halen! I cannot imagine putting this together in my head, let alone playing it! It's why I'm on UA-cam on this side of the screen! Thanks Guys!

Vigier is a french guitar brand founded in 1980 by Patrice Vigier. The production site is located in Grigny, just a few miles away from Evry, Tina's hometown. Some of the brands models, such as the famous Excalibur, have been awarded prices by the most prestigious US magazines: most innovative guitar of the year award by the US magazine "The Music And Sound Retailer", 2 x Premier Gear Awards by magazine "Premier Guitar". The main characteristics of these guitars: neck-through construction with a trapezoidal extension, and metal reinforcement board underneath the fingerboard. They also feature a system they called 90/10™, exclusive to Vigier, which consists of a wood neck reinforced with carbon slab. The ratio between the two is 90% maple and 10% carbon fiber. A normal wood neck is too flexible, resulting in the strings losing energy when played, reducing both the sustain and impact of the note. Unfortunately the founder seems to have stopped his activities recently and the company does not take any new orders, as there seems to be no one to replace him. Many famous guitarists did use Vigier guitars, apart from Tina S. Here are some names: Roger Glover, Gary Moore, John Paul Jones, Stanley Jordan, Shawn Christie, Guthrie Govan, Ron Laster, Mick Taylor, Masayoshi Yamashita, …
Thanks, Glenn and Adrian. Great selection, superb execution. By the way, it reminded me of what Ralph Maccio's character (really Steve Vai) plays in the movie Cross Roads, only there it was a Vai composition (Eugene's Trick Bag) inspired by Nicolo Paganini's Sonata, Capriche 24.
Thanks guys, been a Tina S fan for many years. This one here has been played to death (sorry) but the other covers you read about (and a few I mentioned below to another member) are excellent and impressive. There are quite a few to react to when you get the urge. Cheers. BTW, Tina did stop, seems a lot of not so nice YTubers were making inappropriate comments and also she decided to finish her college education as well. She is now playing with "Spin Twice" as you mentioned.

I've got in trouble over this one before with Tina S fans. I will admit to being naturally sceptical whenever kids are placed in front of a camera. I can understand that it's technically very impressive, and maybe that makes it worth doing for that reason alone, but, for me, when you strip away all the dynamics and resonance of the piano, you also lose most of the music. It just becomes a relentless buzzy noise. She's done other videos that show what else she can do, so she's not just a one trick pony. At the same time she seems to have disassociated herself from this period and moved in a grown up direction quite a few of her fans don't seem to be comfortable with. I think her guitar tutor also has his own version of this, but not with the same number of views.
Check her For the love of god or Altitudes covers and you will see she is not solely about speed and she can play slower pace masterpieces with a lot of feelings.
@@ericsicard910 I know all her covers, but they don't really interest me, unless they do something radically different from the original. They don't say anything about who someone is as a creative musician. What she does with her new band is interesting because it's about where she is now, and the music she wants to make.
@ I partially disagree but respect your point of view. I personally feel her cover of For the love of god for instance is quite different from the original. But I am with you on the fact that composing and creating a music is much more interesting and revealing than playing covers.
@@delorangeade Creativity is one part of an entire picture, but you don’t seem to care about the other parts (not interesting?). I think the issue most people had with her, was more about not believing she could perform them live in front of an audience.
