amrith ice creams, handmade, pure milk ice cream, kesar, manoranjini, malai kulfi, butterscotch, fig and honey, coffee, chocolate chip, vanilla, litchi with apricot, ice cream, malleswaram, bangalore, bengaluru, family enterprise
In a quiet bylane of Malleshwaram, sits a family-run enterprise that has been churning homemade ice creams the good old-fashioned way for nearly three decades using pure milk and milk fats, and devoid of any preservatives. It owes its origin to the late Mr. MN Sarathy, who after extensive training in ice cream making in Europe, set up this artisan ice cream parlour in his home nearly three decades ago. His family continues in his footsteps, strictly adhering to time-honoured recipes and methods, serving what is perhaps Bengaluru’s best old-fashioned ice cream. Hope you enjoy this episode; take care, stay safe and strong. Happy eating!

Hello Kripal Sir.....This is Priyabrata,a big fan of your content....you are trying every Cousine of states of India Except Odisha......You should try Odia food once ...I am sure you gonna love it..... waiting for your Odia food Review....Thank you 🙏🙏
Hello sir,
Visit hotel amaravathi in Jayanagar east end. It is a non veg and one of the oldest hotel in Jayanagar. Please visit and see
Can anyone share their mobile phone number. The land line number not working.
I want their business to grow and cover whole country so that we all can have an opportunity to taste such pure ice cream
Then it will not remain home made. Then they'll be big corporate and you will comment on how commercial their ice cream is.
@@optimystic6502 no bro have you heard of lijjat papad a small enterprise started with bunch of women but today they have covered whole country but taste is still same and making method is same as well.
@@zaheeralam6453 I respect your support for honest home based businesses, but big business is run on averages in matter of quality. They fix a type of taste, mouth feel and aroma. If every piece/packet of the product has those, then people buy it again and again for the same feelings. Quality is controlled by using machines. So home type careful inspection is not there anymore.
Only for good people...no jihadists please
Pls don't reply to this jihadist comment. It's a troll.
I'm so jealous of Karnataka people.
Soo many good outlets
Love from Telangana ❤️
Very true Nidhi..I too feel the same..we are missing so many good places 😢

Y'all are always welcome to Namma Bengaluru 🥰
Is that so. Plz come here n taste this land food. U will not be jealous any more but love us. Well wishes from Karnataka.
In this day and age of artificial ingredients and ruthless profit making at the expense of customers, these are the kind of places that provide hope to the common folk. Such a humble establishment and really humble people behind the wheel. Definitely making it to my must visit places list in Bengaluru. Kripal Sir, another big thanks to you, for bringing this gem of an establishment to us.
I studied in B.P Indian located 50 meters away from amirith ice cream I've been eating this ice cream for more than 15years.....I soo glad n happy that u reviewed this ice cream Shop ❤️
i studied also in B-P indian, but never knew there was this shop there. Thanks.

BP Indian kids don't know amrith ice cream is something surprising

@@PrajwalCanonShutter exactly... I studied at the same school...I'm so happy we still remember our childhood memories n places
Brought back so many childhood memories. We would walk everyday to this place during our summer holidays for an icecream. We would call Mrs. MN Sarathy's wife as Amrith Aunty. Because her conversations are as wonderful as the icecreams sold here. 😊
That HMMM!!!! sound has seperate fanbase ❤️
@Movie Masters kahi pan boltos bantai

Thanks a lot for honoring my request and reviewing Amrith Ice cream Sir. I was not sure if you would visit this place due to busy schedule and plethora of requests coming in. This is one of the jewels tucked in lush green Malleshwaram and has endless memories for all! Respect!!!!
We visited this place yesterday and they were out of stock. It is all because of you Sir. Please promote small and local businesses like these.

This was our end of exams treat! Our school was right next to this place. Thanks for bringing back those memories
Vidya Mandir Alumni?
Our school being in malleshwaram was really the best thing ever. Chats, ice cream and everything was best there.
Please tell me it was SVM

I saw this shop hundreds of times, but never thought they are making ice creams right there, so never tried there. Will try now.
Now you know, Srihara, happy eating!
but the board saying it all.
I used to pass by this road often n walk my dog almost everyday near at 5th main.. never ever noticed 🤦 now I'm so jealous of all others who've been here. 😝
We used to frequent Amrith Ice Creams for some delicious black current on our way back from school 25 years ago, and this was an almost every day ritual! I am sure the alumni of both BP Indian and SVM schools can vouch for this. Thank you, Kripal!
Doesn't it come on right if we walk from Sri Vidya Mandir school towards Margosa road?
Truth! Saturdays were half day and I would use my pocket money to by lollies on the way back home 😍.
BP Indian school shutdown sadly
Nostalgic now. My mom used to take my aunt,my brother and me to get us kulfi, fruit salad with ice cream and vanilla with choco chips. Brought back the old days.☺️
This place is my childhood!! My happiest memories are when my parents used to to bring home a family pack with cones in tow! My favorite flavor they serve is the rum and raisin. Thank you so much for showcasing them, they deserve all the love and adulation.
It has been my go to place for ice creams from my childhood. I have been a resident of Malleshwaram for around 20+ years now. It is one of the best. I still remember my grandmother taking me for a small walk to get ice cream.
Finally I so wanted this place to come on UA-cam and now it’s here amazing place great flavours no artificial flavour just made out of milk. I have tried all their flavours and happy am their customer for over 15 year’s . Must visit place
Fantastic. I am a student of Mr Sarathi at NDRI Bangalore. This video reminds me smiling face of Mr. Sarathi. I request his son to hang a photo of Mr Sarathi in the shop.
Only Kripal sir knows the art of praising the old fashioned food shops and explaining to us about why it should be appreciated, love the way you communicate with everyone sir ❤️
🙏🙏
The Family values....Tradition..teaching..are more Important than..Big..show...That is why...Amrith ice cream....surely..be अमृत......नमस्कार to Whole family...
This was ( is) a rights of passage for anyone born and brought up in malleshwaram.
Remember those sunny days in summer, where all of us kids would take a break in the afternoon heat for a refreshing and delicious treat at amrut.
Here is my brother waxing lyrically about our childhood days. The amrut special was the big one, involving quite a few minutes of discussion as to what those four flavours would be. Eventually melting into one indecipherable concoction of goodness.
Fabulous! It's like the Enid Blyton kids on vacation & adventure in the country side, stopping by the quaint, local ice cream shops in the village for cold treats !
Loved reading Enid Blyton books. Transformed one to a beautiful wonderland.
@@CR-ou1ut yep, me too!! & tintin, Narnia... !!! Really transported to wonderland in a sec! I 😇
I am lucky enough to live close by, and eat on a weekly basis, my daughter just loves this place. No preservatives and mixing.Thank you 🙏 for covering this place
Visited amrith ice cream during our vacation at bangalore. We have no words to describe the ice cream especially the MANORANJINI and kulfi. Thankyou sir for this shoot and making people aware of this eatery.
Malleshwaram has my heart and soul. 22 years of my life spent there is worth revisiting every day. My school van driver used to buy us all Amrith icecream one day of the week. I studied in cluny convent high school.
Never heard of Manoranjini flower. How wonderful is this enterprise!
Manoranjan flower I think is same as Sampige huvvu. Yellow flower, that grows on tree. Magnolia Champaca.
Brought back my SVM school memories!!! Those lolly’s and Vanilla/Strawberry Cone Creams 😋
Same bro
same bro, SVM memories. indulging in black current on the way back home
Svm Or KVM?
Me too I also studied in svm school
ya but these ice creams far far far faaar better than those 5 rs cones at your school
go there and taste some .
This brings back my college days memories of 1999 and 2000. We used to go to this ice cream parlour after our classes to enjoy the Amruth's special ice cream once every week. Even getting drenched in rain, did not fall sick any day. Thanks for this episode 👍
I miss the milk candy from here. This brings back old memories.
Milk candy? Can u plz describe
Vidya Mandir school students knows the importance of this shop
Oh man you're so kind & lovely....There is no reason to hate you... Love you lots Kripal ❤️💐
Our all time favourite adda during graduation at MES college.... We couldn't just stop at one or two everytime..dil always maange more... The humble couple always served with a smile... Wish their business grows in double fold..loads of respect for them
Looks like a hidden gem. Great to see you highlight such places Kripal sir
My mom used to work in BP Indian and she used buy me a cone here all the time. That was 25 years ago. Wow, time flies high.
I studied in BP Indian school
Ah, Amrith Ice Cream! Brings back so many beautiful memories of childhood! Our family’s favourite and surely of everyone who lives in Malleshwaram and sutta mutta. My father always picks fig n’ honey! They’re indeed the best! 💚
Good to see that this ice cream shop has not given into the greed of expanding their business and keep old school methods intact.
Another hidden gem in B’lore. Thank you for another wonderful episode of a place I hadn’t heard of.
I just clicked on this video because I saw Amrith ice cream and it's so nostalgic... Growing up in the next Street to this Amrit ice cream, I miss this place so much... Having it with friends was our fav past time.. Every time I visit India, I go to Maheshwaram, visit my street and my neighbors and have this icecream ♥️...
ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಿ ಖುಷಿ ಆಯಿತು 😍..
I pray that such deserving businesses prevail in future❤❤
We should definitely promote these kind of parlours👍👍👍 thank u Mr Kirpal for this...
What a great episode... Bought back the childhood literally.. You have just taken many of us here back on a nostalgia trip.
I can recollect those happy days having ice cream in Amruth ice cream parlour with friends on rainy day, it was just awesome..... Good old lovely days.. 🍨🍧
gujjus are known for enterprising but what i have seen on food lovers, i must say kannadigas are up there and a step ahead especially with food .
Really surprised to see no customers in such an old ice cream parlour which was opened 28 yrs old.
Wish lots of success n lots of customers
Kripal Sir my family is into ice cream business sine 1952 in Maharashtra and the way customer conveys the feeling after tasting the ice cream which makes a manufacturer truly happy from his work. It is a special feeling. Thank you Kripal sir for all the effort you make to grow family run enterprise from which people can taste such flavour.
Looking forward to visit Amrith Ice Cream.
From Maharashtra. ❤️
Sir u are the right person to introduce each and every one for their hardwork and dedication towards their goals.Through u will get to know all these details.
"Overwhelming response" the shop ran out of stock today
@ashok paritala watch his new video
Thank so much for covering this. If this was some where in EU, They would be so famous. Its only that we dont find and believe our roots in INDIA. Hope they keep staying happy and growing while keeping their charm.
One of your best vlogs u have done till date. Also love the way you talk to everyone with warmth and respect
My god...I love their fruit salad with Alphonse mango ice cream topped with dry fruits & honney - on top cherry....I still travel 35 kms when I get the craving..
My childhood, College days and office days all filled with Amrith Ice-cream flavours... Miss that Aunty selling those ice-creams. Time to rush there at the earliesttttt !!
My cousin from Rajajinagar always use to take me to this place back in the 90s...Ice cream was very good!!...Back in the day, there were not much choices available so people used to go there quite often due to lack of choice....Fast forward today, with increasing temperatures in Bangalore, Ice cream business has kick off with a bang and every area has a dozen of ice cream joints!!
I just experienced how time flies...21 unassuming minutes of chilled bliss!
Have been longtime visitor of Amtith ice creams. Visited first as student now take my family regularly there. Ice creams tastes amazing.
Now this is called pure ice cream !! If they put a branch in Hyderabad and make live ice cream using this traditional method, it will be instant hit !!
YOU ARE REALLY DOING A GREAT JOB IN SHOWCASING SUCH HUMBLE ESTABLISHMENT,KEEP IT UP
What a heart warming episode.. family run ancient establishments have a charm of their own.. unreplicable
What an experience ... story of a melting delicacy , it’s even more melting to hear the story of this wonderful place and family enterprise.
I still remember those days in 2011-12 I think. When I was studying 2nd Year PUC at Vidya Mandir Independent PU College near Sampige road, there were coaching classes being taken for CET at SVM School. Due to tremendous syllabus, coaching classes were there even on Sundays. So in the afternoon when the classes got over, I had to walk towards Margosa Road to catch a bus to KC General Hospital. So on the way to Margosa Road, I used to pick a cone from here for I think 10 to 20 Rupees if my memory serves right and used to have it while moving towards the bus shelter.
Brings back good old memories of my college, coaching centre and it's faculty
Super episode...you took me to the old school days where my father had a habit of bringing me a Rs.5/- icecream every day ....Thank you for remembering me the sweet old days.
Wow.....took me back some 13 years ago when I used to live in Malleswaram and would relish amrith icwcreams after office hours with my mom. Truly nostalgic. The area where it is located is very residential and beautiful as well.
I was regularly having ice cream when I was studying BP.indian thank you bring back my memories
Thank u so much sir for bringing this “family owned old fashioned ice cream store” into bright light.
I have done my college in Malleswaram but never heard or saw this place. After seeing your video I’m definitely gonna try this place.
Made me nostalgic all the way.
I've been into my infancy, where I used to run along with icecream bicycle for a kulfi ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank u sir for taking us to our olden n golden memories ❤️🙏🙏🙏
Sir, indeed you have brought back my fond memories back with this video. Me and my friend Anuradha had our best times together relishing almost all the flavours during our college days walking back from MES college every Saturdays. Hmmn, would surely visit the shop during my next visit to Bangalore.
I used to take my children some 25yrs back when we were staying in 8th main, just want to visit again with grown up ones ,ask them to get ice creams for me,even though I stay in the other part of Bangalore. Thanks for sharing this video which has lot of memories associated.😊👌👏
I have visited when we were small
It's all our mama's efforts
Amrith should be branded now
Good luck 👍👍

You are such an honest and humble man . Kudos
Woah!!...looks amazing , delicious and it's pretty rare to get hold of these authentic local icecream brands😍🤤
You bring these stories out so beautifully! Always a good watch.
Oh my!! What an episode! Ice cream is my forever weakness! This episode was a real treat and torture for me, Kripal. Your expressions added to the torture. How I wish I could travel to Bangaluru all the way from Kerala, just to taste these ice creams. Thank you for a lovely episode, Kripal 😊
I have been going there since I was a toddler the black current is the most bussin flavour there, all bengalurians must try 💯
Finally this place gets its due recognition. Ate ice cream here pretty much every day while studying at MES. The ambience is so home-like, it's like going to your neighbour's house for a desert. One of the true gems of Malleswaram. ❤️
How humble is the owner ❤️ ❤️❤️
Thank you for visiting the legendary Amrith ice cream. We use to have there since our childhood. Anyone in Malleshwaram will remember, especially their milk lollies
I can never forget this place. My school days in SVM was made memorable due to their ice cream
The ice creams are just like the nectar of sweets from Heaven in our mouth. 👌
Went to this place just as soon as I watched it, the ice cream is damn gooddd, I loved it!
Thank you for this video Mr Kripal…. During my school days would visit here… had totally forgotten about this place….. thank you …… will visit here in coming week

This episode was almost so poetic, so Romantic...one can feel that he was in love with those delicious ice cream scoops 😍😍
The power of social media.. gods comes in many ways ! Family business should always prosper, unitedly moving against all odds is not so easy in this competitive world .. it became a very popular place in few days ! Great @foodloverstv .. a salute to Kripal ! 👍
It's just 5 mins away from home n ya Amruth ice-cream is love! ❤️
Vanilla- Mangao- pineapple mix is my favourite!!😋😋🤘🏻
My favorite area ever weekend i go to mallehwaram seen this shop but not tried for sure this week i am going go with my friends thanks for going and showing this place.
They should create a brand like Naturals. Lot of potential this guys have. Amazing history. I'm sure ICE cream taste top class. Love from Mumbai ❤️
Helping a family run the outlet during difficult times is a very good thought. It was the thought that we are helping someone in difficulty which gave us the satisfaction and compensated the taste or quality of the ice cream. I never knew Kripal could fake his signature expression, UUmmmmmmm !
I speak for the food as I taste it. Same with the case of this ice cream too and as endorsed by many comments here and elsewhere on the appeal of this place. Perhaps it didn’t appeal to your palate and that’s ok. Taste after all is subjective. What isn’t cool though is your insinuation. Cheers!
@@FoodLoversTV I see in you an intern at taking frank criticism. I know you will graduate soon. The ice cream you reviewed is nowhere close to what you rated it.I bought ice creams worth Rs.600/- from the couple, but only for a noble cause. Kripal Victor Amanna must learn to accept facts and being a Mangalorean myself i will not take your reaction without a pinch of salt. This is just the beginning....you will begin to see more of me.
My mother used to buy homemade icecreams from here
Recently, after the lockdown also, saw so many people standing and munching on the delicious icecreams
Soooooo.....yummyyyy !!!
It sure made my mouth water and want the ice creams 👍
Wow so Natural icecream My most fav flavour Strawberry always Pista also like so yummy 😋😋😋😋
Nostalgia!! :) thank you for bringing out this hidden gem Kripal sir. This used to be our adda 2008-2011. We studied in a tutorial right across Amrith, so you know how often the visits were ;) what a place. I will definitely re-visit this weekend after a decade. :) Thank u for bringing it back in my life!
Your sales & marketing is tempting us to visit this place 😃
Coffee and litchi are the best here !! Also kulfis. Texture of ice-creams here is too good. Branded ice-creams can never beat these.
Sir u r simply the best.
The way you explain seems like someone is telling story.
Please keep going.
Its just like text book perfection.
Wow😍😍 all the bangalurians should go n try dis 👌👍❤
I used to have icecream here in my school days. It's nostalgic.. that aunty used to be there always ❤️
Such places should be showcased .... so that they stay and do well 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks for making and sharing !
I studied in B P Indian school, believe me , their icecream is the best in taste and quality. Each and evry flavour has the story of hardwork and love. Do try it ❤️❤️❤️
You showed a very good old fashioned ice cream parlor... After watching you and way you explained (as usual) made us to taste the food, so I took my family and went there all the way from Banashankari and it was worth a drive..
My daughter is fan of you especially the way you show your expression while/after you eat and want to visit all the places you, because of that we had visited many places after your video.. Please keep up the wonderful food journey and explore more, show more veg food places...Girish
Happy your family enjoyed the Amrith ice cream outing, Girish. Do convey my best wishes to them, and especially to your daughter. Happy eating!
