Pockets no-selling a piledriver on the steel steps. That's just so fantastic. Tony goes on national television with a neck brace talking about how dangerous and forbidden the move is and then a few weeks later they have a 140 dweeb do it in even harsher conditions and casually brush it off. You can't even make these failures up.

The general de-powering of wrestling moves has been a problem for a long time now. Moves that used to be iron-clad finishers now don't even get a 2.5 count. And Tony Khan has apparently decided to push the leading edge of this unfortunate trend - while trying to sell old-school injury angles at the same time. FFS.

Mens' ratings baffle me as much an Uncle Dave's stars--both are so subjective not to mention unrealistic. If Sasha is a 7, who the hell is an 8/9/10? You may not personally like her personality or her work or her visual, but she's undeniably and objectively super fit and hot, more than 99% of people.

I always wonder if the reason TNA couldn’t get anything other than spike was because of WCW failure? Spike already WWE at that point and probably wanted wrestling still on their channel and their gave TNA chance! But Dixie Carter ruined that by lying to Spike about Vince Russo! Because even the executives at Spike knew he was crap!

Jim and Brian: Swerve was never "over" as much as AEW did a loop in the Pacific North West, starting in his hometown (Portland?), where the fans chanted "This is Swerve's house" and it got going that show, then onto the PPV in Washington state (maybe the other way around, I don't f'n remember), then the next 2 weeks, still in that North Western area. Swerve was never HOT in multiple markets, across the country, just like 4 shows in the Pacific NW, and that's that. All that being said, I don't think it's fair to him to bury him like this... Just, yeah. Where's Samoa Joe?
i always thought swerve got the push because the people would scream his name during his entrance, but the crowd is pretty quiet during his promos and matches

All that being said, what they've had him do since hasn't helped him at all. I genuinely feel bad for these poor guys that have their careers ruined by tony.

I remember Jim flippin' out because he broke into hangnail's house and "terrorized the baby" by giving it a T-shirt lol And when he did the inring promo showing that on the titantron the crowd was going nuts for him. That, if I remember, was in his real life hometown, and they were chanting "Swerve's house." So it was around that time he was heating up, yes? Alright buddy, we're getting close to the starting point. 👍
Oh, and I agree, his title isn't even the most important WORLD belt they have, let alone overall belt. They really need to consolidate them all into 1 World's champion, and have a secondary, and a tag. No TBS RoH TNT FTW Japanese garbage belts anymore, just like 3. FFS typing that out made me realize how many they have floating around, and that's just what I know from listening to Jim! I ain't watching this garbage anymore lol. When Punk left, so did I.
@@SlimSlashie Why does Bullet Club Gold have 9 belts? ROH and AEW six man titles but what is the third title they hold? I can't find any information anywhere. I think Tony wants his talent to be "seen" that seems to be a common thing on tv shows now is to be "seen," so he gives out belts as participation awards.
Personally I thought Swerve was cool when he wore the ski mask and fur coat to the ring and had his lackey AR Fox by his side. But Tony is obsessed with Swerve having a faction and then having that faction disintegrate. He backstabbed AR Fox, Parker Boudreau, that white guy with all the tattoos, and that rapper just disappeared, Cage and the The Gates of Agony backstabbed him and now Prince Nana is gone. Swerve definitely needs some lackeys, he seems off without them.
I refuse to watch garbage wrestling and AEW. But its so much fun to listen to Jim and Brian try to make sense of this trash.

And the whole roster has or is developing go away heat. It’s so bad.
But WCW actually had professional wrestlers you could still take seriously. If you saw Goldberg vs Scott Steiner or Lex Luger vs Sid Vicious you would put the remote control down and stay and watch before you were eventually disgusted by the booking. With AEW, when I see Trent vs Orange I naturally assume that the entire roster no showed the event and they let the fans come into the ring to have a play match and cosplay their favorite wrestlers.
I hope Hope Corny and Brian would review Bryan Alvarez and Uncle Dave had yet another argument about Toni Storm. Bryan Alvarez imo has "turned heel" on Uncle Dave.

i used to think that way about aew but then i realized that tony is just a kid playing with his toys and we're all tuning to watch him have fun, sort of like that spoiled rich kid in elementary school who had the best and newest toys and everyone came over just for the chance to see what it was like but no one was allowed to play with the toys

My wife and I used to be big AEW fans, Brian and Jim nailed it. They have been opening dynamites with Orange Cassidy for 18 months, we were over it 17 months ago.
