Just got one , Andre and I love the look and feel. I can pull a cork with it and I like the way it locks, but I can't lock it when I pull down the spindle. It won't lock in place. What am I doing wrong?
@praftman I have had lots of issues cutting cleanly unless it's a fine serrated edge. I prefer a straight edge, but good keys with a straight edge are hard to find these days. Generic keys almost always have rough serrated blades that make jagged cuts and often catch and tear the foil. I finally found a Rabbit key with a fine enough serrated edge to use.
The knife doesn’t fully extend, it only opens like 40 degrees. The ratchet arm is loosey goosey, it doesn’t hold itself up when you are inserting the worm. Each of my coworkers that have tried to use it has cut themselves. It has a complicated snap to close system. It’s overwrought, solving a problem that doesn’t exist. Reminds me of a Ridge wallet. You know, the metal wallet for douchebags. It just sucks sorry, not for use on the floor. I hope Andre got paid and he’s pretty cool but this wine key straight up pissed me off.

Wondering if the knife is serrated or not? If so, I think I will pass. Serrated blades always tear the foil for me.
It’s serrated. Personally I’ve had no problem with most serrated blades on wine keys, though they do differ.

I don't remember the model name. The blade is rectangular in shape so it looks different, and the serrated part is very fine so the teeth don't catch.
