Recently I read somewhere that if God was to hide from man, where would he be hiding: He will hide within man because that is the last place we will look.
I fell in love with Pam! This must be from years ago but as someone who has recently been diagnosed with cancer she has given me such a gift. So many aha moments watching this. It’s early in this journey for me but I can see my cancer is a gift. If you’re still out there Pam you were just so beautiful & I thank you for being there for me today. Brisbane Australia
Almost at the end of last year, I was asked to translate this video into Korean by one of my youtube channel subscribers saying it would be very helpful for the cancer patients like her. It has been an amazing journey to translate this beautiful inquiry for the past two weeks. Watching the video again and again for the translation, I felt like I was at The School doing my work. Thank you so much for uploading this beautiful video of The Work. The Work has transformed my life completely and it's the greatest blessing of my life.
I think this is pure and true love that 2 humans can share. There is also a mutual respect between the 2. Simply divine! This is what our relationship should be with each and every being and thing.
I've been putting off watching this in the midst of my husband's fight against stage 4 cancer, but through the tears comes revelation for me as a caregiver. Thank you Brian ❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing these old videos of Katie. I've been listening to her for almost 12 years in various ways and The Work has given me more than i could ever express in words. Thank God for Katie!!
Get that she and God are the same? When people say someone 'gets' Katie's work it often involves the person crying, saying lots of counter-intuitive things and pretty much having a sort of identity breakdown. In this case the person was incredibly vulnerable and facing death. I really want to know what you mean when you said she 'got it'.
@Digby Dooright Thank you for unhelpful, childish and patronising comment, Digby. I do 'get' a lot of non-duality, Tony Parsons, Jim Newman, Francis Lucille etc. I posed a genuine question and wanted someone to genuinely interact with me about it.
If anyone with cancer is watching this. The work of Bruce Lipton, joe dispenza and Greg Braden... Combined with Byron Katie and Abraham Hicks... Study this work... And be amazed by the miracle of changed thinking and how it's attached to all illness. Much love 😍❤️❤️
34:35-35:08 - " *I think I have turned my back on me. Yeah. You turned your back on you and you focused on a concept such as 'I Gave Me Cancer'. Focus-Focus-Focus. Dear Brian, This Work is one of my favorites. I can't tell you how many times I've been listening to the voice recording version of this work. I always wanted to see this woman's facial expressions. Thank you very much for sharing this opportunity with me.
Bless them both. Watching these 2 interact reminds me of the scene in the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy was taking to Glinda at the end, when she was explaining why she had to come to Oz. This girl is so full of fear and shame, but has a child-like wonder that's so delightful.
This entire conversation was so powerful to see and hear. I have all these concepts about myself and about God. Thank you, Pam and Katie, for showing me some clarity. I was deeply touched by your encounter...your courage to ask yourself. I do The Work with my children and I am reminded again of doing it for myself. I am the one. It starts and ends with me. 🙏🌷
perfect,"I believed I create it, so maybe I can have some heal here." Just want to control again. Katie's words are so clear. Thank You,Brian, for these wonderful videos!
Oh my gosh, she's so in this, so *authentic and grounded and I long for her energy and I want to be coached by her with my own struggles around career and poor body image! ❤️*
When she states 'bout herself that she is angry at herself for" creating her cancer" I feel sad, but a few guru's in the New Age thought say that. They say that all DISEASE is created from our thoughts. So I can see why she says that. But like Katie asks her ,"Can you really know that's true?"You are as innocent as a new born child! How does that feel when you believe that thought that "I created that cancer?"So healing.
If she’s doing inquiry she’s living a peaceful happy love filled life, with or without this thing the doctors call cancer, and it’s my guess that this incredibly beautiful lady is bringing love peace kindness and joy to all that meet her ~ I know she’s brought those gifts to me by me just sitting and watching, listening and being with her. I think she’s helped many many people and that kind of thing always comes back to us tenfold 💞💕💞
It definitely encapsulates elements of those perspectives - and with a significant foundation of nondualism underlying the whole approach. Katie doesn't speak about that aspect quite so much, but it's very clear, particuarly in her book A Mind At Home With Itself, and an earlier title, Losing The Moon.
John 9:2 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.
look at the part when the girl said she did not want to get cured of the cancer, or that she even has it, and a few minutes later, in the reversal, she said she really want to - and that's exactly the problem of this work - that it doesn't allow ppl to feel the real thing, to sink into the broken part, the sad part, to touch the real pain, but to remain in a denial state they were in the first place. a mother cannot feel happy for her child to die.. nomatter how many goods she may find of it during the process, or a person having some health issues cannot jump up high that he has it - unless they're lying to please katie's work, which is nice for a public event, but doesn't work in the long run.
I understand what you mean, and I can certainly see how it's possible to see it that way. However, for me, The Work is about the opposite of denial. It's about facing up to what's happening, since we never have a choice - what's happening is what's happening, whether we like it or not. I think it's also important to remember that it's perfectly OK to answer "YES!" to both of the first two questions - so we can absolutely own our feelings of unhappiness or anger in a situation. "I want the cancer to stop growing, is it true? YES!" "Can I absolutely know that I want it to stop growing? HELL, YES!" And then it's a case of working through the next questions. For me one of the most powerful moments in the video is when Katie asks Pam, "How do you react when you attach to the thought that you want the cancer to stop growing, and the doctor says, 'It's growing'?" Then we get to see the effect of the painful thought on top of the effect of the pain of the cancer. And The Work is never about rejecting thoughts - simply questioning them, and then seeing what emerges as a result.
@@BrianCormackCarr what I mean is while she's trying to convince herself she has no cancer, if someone would offer her a way to heal it, she would forget this mindful games during the inquiry.
Guy Madison Yes, but that’s the point, I think - she’s (presumably) being treated for cancer and it’s still growing. Apparently, being offered a cure isn’t an option. The inquiry isn’t about curing the cancer; it’s about recognising that the thought “I need my cancer to stop growing” - when it IS growing - is only adding to the pain.
@@BrianCormackCarr yes ..true IMO....adding the second dart of suffering - when the mind comes in and rejects what is …..the mind causes the suffering or rather believing and attaching to the thoughts causes the suffering and you can just check it out yourself - or not ….
