Thank you for a very helpful, clear & easy to follow video.
I now use the claw grip which suits my putting.
I appreciate your concern with using this grip for longer putts.
Also the warning of the right arm moving away from your body.
GREAT ADVICE WHICH I HAVE WRITTEN DOWN.
Also I have subscribed as well as liked.
I recently started using it and it’s promising. This video cleared out some of the missing links for me.
Major concern though, is whether there’s a recommended Putter grip that suits the claw grip. I’m currently using a Scotty Cameron (Blade putter).
Very helpful
Often wondered about this method, well explained, well done, thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Very well done, as usual.
Thanks again!
Good stuff. I use the claw for 20' in. Regular grip over 20". I'm not a great putter by any means but this approach keeps me in the game.
Right on
Best explanation I have seen!
Thanks mate!
awesome mate . Where should the ball position be?
I’m sure I done a video on this 😉
@@judehobbsgolf thanks that helps 😂
What degree of toe-hang would be best for a putter when using the claw grip?
I just started claw gripping my putter and I’m finding a lot more consistency. The wild thing is… The claw grip is good for taking away right hand dominance in the stroke… Im a leftie who plays rightie… and when I claw grip my right hand is the dominant one LOL
If it works, it works!😂
I’m a bit bias in my opinion about the claw grip. Honestly I just started doing it. When you say the grip is fine for short putts but not for longer putts, I disagree. Certainly I am not trying to start a bashing. But as you yourself demonstrated in this very video the ability to accurately swing the putter with both grips well enough to roll any length of putt. As with everything in life; it’s a matter of dedication to the effort. I have found it quite ease to control pace and line with the claw at good distance. As much as a conventional grip with better confidence of actually getting it close or making it. A very predictable method of gripping for me.
As a general rule it’s going to be harder to build power having effectively one hand on the putter compared to two hands on the putter.
Have seen a true reverse claw where Right hand on bottom holds normal and left hand on top is 2 fingers and guiding......as they say... who care what it looks like , its whatever works to get the ball in the hole.
