Protect Quanta at all costs!!!
I switched to Studio One after the laptop I ran Logic Pro on broke after 5 years of use. I've watched countless tutorials on Studio One and this video is by far the most concise, to-the-point and digestible tutorial I have ever watched. Thank you so much for making this, Quanta
For sure, Darren. Thanks for watching and glad you found the video useful!
One of the best tutorial ive seen so far. tq so much
Thank you for this rich tutorial,, really appreciate it!
Excellent, thank you !
For sure, Rob!
Good video. Got a few tips from this. Thanks brother
Excellent video!! Thank you SO much for the way you laid all of this out and explained it! Just Subscribed!!
Awesome, glad you found the tutorial helpful, Bob. I should warn you, though...I've moved from S1 to Bitwig, so there won't be any new content coming for it. But, there are nearly 200 tutorials for S1 that I've created in the past, so hopefully you'll find some others that are useful! Happy new year.
@@quantaaudio perfect! I will check them out! Just Curious about why you decided to move to Bitwig? I know S1 is not the very best but..
@@bobbarney1923 I think Studio One is great, but I feel that it is geared more for mixing, mastering, and recording live instruments/bands. I am a synthesis and sampling person who loves sound design, beat making, and a streamlined workflow. Bitwig is better suited for this. Also, I don't really think there is a "best" DAW, it's just what DAW works best for you and your workflow style. I think we're very lucky these days to have so many different, great options to chose from!
@@quantaaudio it really is!! Thanks for the reply
Great video! I def feel like this will help me to get started in using sample one…I’ll have to check out that five part series
Hey THANK YOU for this! you did a great job of explaining this tool
Much Needed THANK YOUUUUU

Thanks, Andrew.
This is great, thank you.
You're welcome. Glad you found it useful.
Nice informative
how i do get sample one? its not showing im guessing its not available on all versions of studio one?
Great tutorial!
thanks bro, it's really helpful!
Is there a easy and quick way to map sound library patches across the keyboard in order note by note ?
Great video. Thanks. You are always super detailed and comprehensive. I have always wondered about Sample One. Is it better to work with samples in Sample One or right in the track in S1 with those tools there. Which engine is better for sample adjustment (like timing or frequency adjustments)?
Can someone please tell me why when I import an 808 into sample one its loses its punch and definition?? It's like sample one makes 808s sound flat.
Hello! Want to record a Yamaha keyboard sound into Sample one. I have the Yamaha Digital keyboard connected. On clicking record I get a sample in my explorer. On playing I can't hear the sound. Kindly guide.
how comes when importing samples using the right click send to sample one method, some samples are mapped the full range of the keyboard and some samples are only mapped to c3?
Thank you so much
Strange - when trying to select my MacBook Air Microphone as the recording source for SampleOne, it's not showing as available even though I enabled in in Studio One's Preferences...Any ideas as to how to fix this?
Thank you bro
Great video. But please help me out. If I program midi notes with Sample One and edit the midi velocity, there is no increase or decrease in volume. Sometimes I just want to soften or harden the velocity of a sound. How do I do it on sample One?
Thanks for the Vid man
my quistion is how to copy the midi maping to the midi editor???
Can you not simple slice and map slices to the keyboard ?
Lets say you have three ranges of notes you recorded from an instrument... Let say A1-G3 or all those notes in between. Is there a way to reference the file names so they all map to the proper notes when you drag them all into Sample One? I've tried and it always orders them in sets of three... Like A1 A2 A3, B1 B2 B3, C1 C2 C3.... Life would be so much easier if it imported and mapped the sounds to the notes correctly, instead I have to then map each note by hand and it takes 40 minutes to do so. Any tricks to making Sample One sound files to do this better?
Thank you for the video.
How MIDI control #1 can be used in this SAMPLE 1 sampler. It receives the message but you need to sit down and wait for hours and at the end . . . nothing happens. 🙄 I've been trying to make it work to add a little bit of expression to it, but it completely ignores it. I can see the little MOD WHEEL moving on the screen but nothing happens, no "mojo" movement at all on the sound. Does the external modulation control works on this or is just there posing like an ornament to make it look like the rest? You did not talked a lot about it. It was like; "this is how you modulate a loop for a nonsensical reason. Then and here is the word Modulation . . . . Modulation ZOOOM!" And that's it! It works really crazy to be honest. Is useless!
I know there's an option for us producers who like to sample to create slices, but is there any way to select the number of slices? 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 etc.... or just chop bigger slices overall?
Awesome..
Does the sampler read loop points from .wav files if present?
no time strech ???? or did i miss it ??
If you click the "Follow Song Tempo" button this will time-stretch the audio and keep the sample length consistent throughout the keyboard range.
So there’s really no way to slice loops thru transient detection and assign slices to different keys in Sample One? Wow, I’ve given Presonus waaay too much credit.🙄
EDIT: I saw your latest video in version 5 where you can send the chops to Sample One where it automaps them to keys....and you can edit the start/end points. This is more like what I expect from Presonus!!
Computers are wack bro holy fudge
Why do you play games on them then?
@@quantaaudio lol bro it's wild that one's and zeros can change sounds
