Absolutely STUNNING!!! You’ve helped/inspired me immensely with this piece.....I received my very first “commission”(I’m using the term VERY lightly, as it’s my sister & brother-in-law who’ve asked me to create multiple pieces for their newly leased office space;)& have struggled with a few of the technical issues you covered in this video.....so thank you so much for sharing🙏🏻 PS. This is the first time I’ve had the chance to see YOU in your videos(often get distracted & miss the endings)& I truly thought the same about YOU as I did your artwork.....beautiful☺️

Oh wow! Thanks for the tip on taping the cups to the board! They drive me absolutely nuts! I was thinking about using a bigger square plastic storage container, but why waste one. I'll try this instead! This was a really great, detailed tutorial. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 🙂
The cups work great this way. I can pick the piece up and tilt if desired and set back down without worry of looking for center to balance. Happy you enjoyed it.😀

thank you so much for sharing your work with us! can't believe i just found your channel. Your work and videos are amazing and your explain everything so well. just subbed and im looking forward to more of your works! :D
An absolutely fantastic watch I’ve just started trying it and I’m not sure I think I’m mixing my paint with the resin to fit because when I came to using my hot gun to blow it it just burnt it so it’s back to the drawing board what would you suggest
Thanks Bonny. If you are using acrylic paint to color your resin you must be careful to not use more than 10% paint to the volume of resin. Acrylic paints can speed the curing process otherwise and result in less time to work the resin. Try working in stages of pouring rings so that you have more time to pour & work the resin. Go careful on the heat temperatures to avoid burning your resin. Hope that helps 😊
Thank you Jen. Glad to know my instructions are helpful. 😁 Another artist told me that they went to clean the surface of their finished geode that did not have a clear coat over the lines and some of it was rubbing off during the cleaning. I tried it on my next geode lines and sure enough, some of the painted lines rub off. The posca paint pens rub off very easy. That's when I began finishing with a clear coat to seal the lines in.
This is absolutely gorgeous! I’ve been binge watching ur channel. I’m super excited to have found it. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful artwork and helpful tips. I’m definitely going to be trying some of your methods in my own artwork. 🙏🏻🤗 May I ask you for a link to the pens 🖊 you used at the very end to make your lines with?
What a beautiful piece! It was a pleasure to watch u. Can u tell me, what kind of markers u used. They're so many out there and I'm not sure which ones r for resin. Thank u so much.
Thank you Brenda. On this piece I used only Craft Smart markers. They are oil based and stay put. I have used Posca markers on other artworks which are acrylic and can rub off easily so they need a coat of resin to seal the lines in place.
Can u tell me, if you've ever used calcite stones. We have some from geodes we have. My husband seems too think that the resin will melt the stone. What do u think?
I got those at Michaels. I just did a search on their website and was not able to find them 🙁 I did do a google search for "tiny turquoise glass beads" and found similar items though. Hope that helps.

Do you have to do a flood coat after you draw your lines?

Thank you Scarlett. The marker/pens I use are from Michaels stores - Craft Smart Multi-Surface Premium Paint Pens.
@@MoonkusserArt Thank you so very much Janet! : )
OMG that’s amazing 🥰 what type of pens do you use to draw the lines?
Thank you 😊. My favorite pens are Craft Smart from Michaels which are oil-based. I also use Posca markers from time to time.

@@brendabarnes4364 I have not used calcite. You could do a small test project to see how they work in resin.
@@MoonkusserArt Good idea! Thx
I think you can get that fireplace glass non-reflective...
I think you are correct
Where do you get your Tiny Treasures crystals?
I got those at Michaels. I just did a search on their website and was not able to find them 🙁 I did do a google search for "tiny turquoise glass beads" and found similar items though. Hope that helps.
@@MoonkusserArt Thanks so much!
I’m in northeast too! What state r u in? I’m in CT. LOVE your art!!!
Thanks Alexandra 😊. I am in NJ
I wish u were closed so I cud pay u for some lessons!
Have not offered in person classes. Just join me on UA-cam 💕
@@MoonkusserArt I was gonna try to bribe u! 😝 I def do watch ur UA-cam tho!
LOL! 😂
What do u use to add color to your resin? Do u just add paint to it or mica powder or ink or?
All of those. I play around with a lot of different products and recommend others to do the same learning what they like and how it works.
You are so beautiful,
Thank you! 😊
Jesus loves you ♥️
