@@elliem.9408 That is a hard question, but I would say just be honest with him, but also be kind and compassionate in the manner and tone that you tell him. Try to be considerate of his feelings and reaffirm that you do enjoy having a relationship with him even if it's not a romantic one. We really appreciate honesty even if it might hurt at first. We appreciate and value the honesty after the initial sting of rejection, and this is coming from personal experience.

As an INTJ, that was accurate. I overthink every gesture I do around people whom I like. Yet, sometimes, I can act really rude towards them just to hide my feelings.
Question, because I think the person I was interested in is an INTJ. He depicted this behavior and in the beginning hinted to his tendency a little. When you act rude to hide your feelings, are you intentionally trying to push them away so you don’t enter any relationship with them? Btw it’s confusing on the receiving end when someone genuinely is interested in you! ❤

At college, I fully willingly helped my crush to open up to the girl he liked, by talking to the girl and preparing the surface for their date, and they got married two months ago lmao. After college. I accidentally caused my crush to get married with someone else.

As an INFJ myself I found this representation pretty accurate and relatable. However, I’m trusting MBTI theory less and less, I find it simplistic. Moreover, many characteristics ascribed to a certain psychological type are actually universal. For example, in this circumstance, who won't feel this way?
I'm not sure if i can agree with you on that one because that's the only one i found relatable as an "INFJ". The others... nah i don't think i would ever act that way. And same goes for the our example i don't think most people have the empathy/heart/compassion/will(or whatever you wanna call it) to stay completely normal in front of their crush and continue the talk for the other person's sake while they themselves are dying inside

As an INFJ this is so relatable. Be miserable on the inside but portraying happiness for the person. Don't want to dump on anyone else's parade. Smiling through a heartbreak. The feelings are too much and the best way to heal is to go away on vac or a mini trip to clear the mind. When you come back you have to set boundaries to distance yourself. INFJ's really need to set boundaries when it comes to self-care and self-preservation.
True, i just took a break from my relationship for a whole year just to concentrate on my studies and well... I really got f-ed up emotionally but walking in my garden at night all alone helped me a lot. It kinda is therapeutic because i talk to myself in my head and confront problems in my life only when i am alone.

2:36 really hits different: I’m an ENFP and when I asked my crush out to prom and she said no, my English teacher overheard me talking about it in class with my friends and he played a clip from napoleon dynamite in class to cheer me up. He didn’t announce his reason for doing this to the class but afterwards he talked to me separately said he hoped that I appreciated it and that he hoped I didn’t find his humor mean or mocking.
That was without question the best English teacher I’ve ever had.
Notice how we INFJs are the rarest but we’re the most loudest in every MBTI discussions, says a lot about our personality lol. We’re enthusiastic about the fact that we can meet the people we could most relate to. Because to be honest, as an INFJ, I think most of you will never get the way we feel except for our fellow INFJs. It’s nice to meet the people who understand you, especially in our case.

My ENTP bf won't commit admittedly, but he reads me and is attentive and an adventurous leader. Infj was creative, always committed (I think), always loved me, but I have always been just a very unhappy infp. I just couldn't feel understood because I overthink and he was carefree. ironically, the guy I really like that won't commit is supposed to be best matched with an... INFJ! I'm sure you'd find a guy like him in a sales job. He'd be the nicest salesman with the most logical information, and an extraverted, sharp wit. Probably techy too. For other INFJ's out there. I have been through a lot when it comes down to love and not being treated well. I set clear boundaries now especially if women do it like this. For self care i keep the convo short and still listen, but then cut off. I close the door to that person as well, cause most women do know how you feel about them naturally and if they like you back and still pull this, they do not deserve you. I also then move on. I won't let me be dragged down by it, cause life is worth more then someone who lacks any sense of empathy towards you.
