this is incredible content! thank you so much Pat. Please never be dicouraged because of low amounts of views since not many mainstream people would find such valuable information interesting. Thank you so much!!
Definitely I'd say the lower level boxers are more challenging more technical than low level MMA guys but they are only practicing one technique where MMA is at least 3....but yes some MMA guys are super technical....
A guy that has been a ref in boxing a form of fighting for 50 years and has mingled an trained the biggest ufc or one of the biggest don’t kno what he’s talking about but u do lol ok
I agree. MMA has lots of disciplines to learn and be aware of. BJJ especially. You have to know what each technique/submission is capable of. To call it a school yard fight comes from ignorance. But that’s boxing fans for you that don’t want to learn more
Mike Tyson was very interesting on the Joe Rogan podcast who had incredible stories. I'd love if you could make that happen and get more of the money side stories from him!
duran is firm about saying he never did drugs. food and alcohol were his weaknesses. In fact, in a book on Duran, there was a story that Duran was found drugged out and with a prostitute, Duran took no issue with the prostitute part but was angry about being accused of drug use.
Cmon Patrick, being surprised about ppl loving Duran? Id say, and I HONESTLY think that, if you dont love Roberto you dont love boxing, and you dont love fighting. Manos de piedra was a fucking WARRIOR, perhaps the biggest in history. Heart of a lion.
I agree with Cortez, but MMA due to proper marketing, which lead to a bigger fan base, which lead to a bigger talent pool, which inevitably leads to faster progression towards perfecting the science and art of fighting within the set of rules. As a 20+ year boxing fanatic and former boxer, I used to almost loathe MMA fighters more because of the fan base than the actual fighters (I always had to respect any man who got in there and threw down regardless of what sport or even if it was on the street). Now, I've seen MMA make gynormous strides. Back in the day, youd have a guy getting whooped for most of the fight then ending up winning almost as much as the other way around due to the lack of there being a truly deep understanding of the physics and math, distance etc and what is and isn't possible as well as what's effective and efficient. I've become a fan of MMA, they have a ways to go but boxing's been around for hundreds of years or more.
Aldo I'd like to say that I never liked Jo because for some reason he always used to mess up my fighter's game like when hatton fought may weather he wanted to make it rough but Jo kept breaking them apart but I understand its a hard job and he seems a great guy who does love the sport. Respect man.
Just another great interview in order to gain perspective!! 💥 should anyone be looking for help with Patrick’s business solutions, please respond and let me know.
I really appreciate the content and love the interviews, but this is not a business interview, Its more like a sports fan interview. As an independent contractor, with a life long career and international influence i expected more depth into his personal success as opposed to how and why he rates athletes. Keep em coming though, your interviews of athletes are normally better.
I wonder if Cortez has actually watched MMA, "schoolyard fighting" it isn't.you can tell he's a boxing purist. having m.m.a and boxing on one card sounds quite good.
I don't want boxing or mma to go out of business. But I do want to point out that a boxer don't useally do so great in mms. They are 2 different sports. No need to trash either.
6:20 I can see it, but not see it.. WHAM he's got to be thinking when seeing it live up close... DAMN !!!!!! OOOH OMG.. They have to be in his mind. hahaha Great Interview Pat.
I've always respected Cortez, but God damn Joe lol😂😂😂 his responses during that speed round couldn't possibly have been less creative. He could've been reading off of a wiki or IMDb page an I wouldn't have heard the difference.
niceee...butt i would like to hear what he thinks about vasyl lomatchenko...i think..he is one of the greatest..and he is young 396-1 amatuer...dont talk about 2 weight divisions wbc...but the most is that he broke there soul..becouse 3/4 throw the towell...in the biggest fights...if u do that..it means he broke your soul not body
Let's be honest since ufc got seriously about drug testing the knockouts dont happen as much u also have alot of decisions in ufc too cause non championship fights are only 3 rounds really lol nate diaz touched on this he said it a few times that 90% ufc fighters are juicing/steroids. i enjoy both n respect Both but boxers have more skills imo
You obviously must have missed the part where Joe broke down the difference between Boxing and mma. However your entitled to your opinion. Just know mma fighters have NEVER beaten a Boxer inside the ring, just keep that in mind.

This man definitely has some words of wisdom. Being married for 53 years is already a winner in my eyes.
True true! -Kai
I grew up watching great fights and watching uncle Joe ref most of them thank you for being part of my childhood.
NO other channel puts out this kind of content. What a cool interview and I haven't even watched it yet. Thank you very much David.
Mrs. Cortes is the most objective boxing enthusiasts and commentator ever! All boxer should be watching this video.
Exciting conversation through priceless memories. Thank you so much for this interview!
This should of got way more views .
A lot of wisdom from Joe a humble man keeping on track in life

Such a great interview and guest. Nice to see someone that has been around long enough to see trends.
If never watched any of your videos but after seeing this I'm on board, amazing interviewer and questions ! Love it.
Pat is the master interviewer. Hes like the Persian Larry King. Valutainment has the best content on youtube hands down.
Persian Larry King, ahahah love it! -Kai
Thank you Pat. This was a phenomenal interview!
Great interview... I'm a huge boxing fan but I think MMA can be just as tactical as boxing.
Definitely I'd say the lower level boxers are more challenging more technical than low level MMA guys but they are only practicing one technique where MMA is at least 3....but yes some MMA guys are super technical....
*_amazing interviewer, I love his skills and focus!_*
*No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reach down to hell.*
Valuetainment interviews give me life😊🙌
Great interview. I would of liked to hear his thoughts on the Mayweather fight we all knew he lost but won
When he said “ Thats why Oscar De LA Hoya is goin both ways “ I literally died lmfao
Those of us in business need to legally Sucker Punch our competition, great interview brother.
A man that needs to sucker punch his opponent to win yea it shows a lot about his character
Yes I LOVE these interviews series. Pat, you're a great interviewer !
Love me some late 70's - early 2000's boxing...Got to witness Tommy Morrison train and spar @ athletic boxing club in KCMO...great interview.
Cortez nailed that Joshua prediction
Wow these videos are amazing my day is so much better when I see your videos
Awesome! -Kai
love the interview but to be honest he does not know what he talks about when it comes to the UFC but thats ok its not his thing ...
A guy that has been a ref in boxing a form of fighting for 50 years and has mingled an trained the biggest ufc or one of the biggest don’t kno what he’s talking about but u do lol ok

I dont know why this has less than 10k views.
Love the Interview
He is a good ref, strange seeing this interview since I watch valuetainment a lot. Patrick is a smart guy
Amazing, great interview!
Who will forget this " I'm fair but I'm firm"
Mike Tyson was very interesting on the Joe Rogan podcast who had incredible stories. I'd love if you could make that happen and get more of the money side stories from him!
P. Taylor Maybe you're right!
Great interview.
I was still hoping you ask him something about arturo gatti but anyway very interesting talk!
Personally boxing is street effective for stand up as well as judo and ju jitsu for ground fighting
Nothing more street effective than Muaythai.
Fascinating interview
Not a boxing fan but enjoyed this. I do hope they put the judges up higher. Good idea. I would like to know if it is full time.
Thanks to both.
Great to hear you enjoyed it, hopefully you learned something as well! -Kai
Great idea sitting judges up higher. If powers that be won't do it for reasons outlined by Joe, allow the judges to watch it on screen…
Pat how we are benefited by the series you started "before they were billinaire" and the interviews you take
Dana white has a much larger following than Oscar, on twitter he has 5 mill followers compared to oscars 900k. Dana's the much bigger name.

took me half an hour to figure out that his suit is just reflecting light, not dirty/dusty lol
amazing interview
It feels like they want boxing to go away but it wont
Pat I really enjoyed this one !!! Call Ronie Coleman next time !
Was Joe sanding drywall before the interview?
LONG LIVE MMA !!!!
Fast forward to 2021 and its more clear than ever that ufc has all but killed boxing. Shits just a spectacle now.
Interesting ring in the left hand of PBD at 49:21 (at least in an HD PC monitor, full screen), Hehehe ! Thanks for sharing !
Me. Joe Cortez . One of my top (4) refs , in. Boxing 🥊 !
These guys earn every penny, they're blasted if they mess up, and ignored when they do a great job.
very true! -Kai
Great video, what sales books do YOU recommend?
www.patrickbetdavid.com/top-100-books/ that is a good list to start off with! - Kai
Pat you should Interview Marvelous Marvin Hagler
Pat I think these don’t get much viewers because people want videos that give them quick tips (lazypreneurs)
Boxers can not hang in the octagon with a MMA fighter. Let alone in a street fight.
Another One ☝🏼 Great As Usuals 🐔
JOE... You reffed... Julian Jackson vs Terry Norris... did you hear the big ass right hand that KO'd the hell outta Norris....
I think they confused joe when he said bob arum no barrera and oscar lol
Just another great interview in order to gain perspective!! 💥 should anyone be looking for help with Patrick’s business solutions, please respond and let me know.

Frazier and Norton did not 'need' each other--they never fought.
beatiful

Pat, does he really need his hair to be cut? Lol
Probably pays for a hot lather straight blade
6:20 I can see it, but not see it.. WHAM he's got to be thinking when seeing it live up close... DAMN !!!!!! OOOH OMG.. They have to be in his mind. hahaha Great Interview Pat.
PLEASE STOP INTERRUPTING YOUR GUEST . YOU DO THAT OFTEN .
just wondering how much does it cost you to get these guys on ya show
Only true boxing fans know who julian jackson is and gerald McClellan great hard hitters for.smaller guys
Great question's
We need a new boxing game a fight night champion 2
I've always respected Cortez, but God damn Joe lol😂😂😂 his responses during that speed round couldn't possibly have been less creative. He could've been reading off of a wiki or IMDb page an I wouldn't have heard the difference.
Never mentioned Hagler or Hearns?
Foreman and Tua hit harder than tyson
Real live scoring may help
I bet Connor McGregor paid him good money to train him then he goes and tells the ref on him
I've heard other interviews of guys selling information from training camps.
Ufc is def goin to take over boxing
Not likely.
Well De La Hoya Mma was a real success Joe and everybody who has entered the cage has gotten his ass kicked
Incredible insight but I must say his mma views are very ignorant.
He was one of the worst referees in the history of boxing 🤦♂️🤦♂️👎👎
niceee...butt i would like to hear what he thinks about vasyl lomatchenko...i think..he is one of the greatest..and he is young 396-1 amatuer...dont talk about 2 weight divisions wbc...but the most is that he broke there soul..becouse 3/4 throw the towell...in the biggest fights...if u do that..it means he broke your soul not body
Referees nowadays are below average.
Joe u robbed Ricky Hatton against Mayweather, u wouldn't let Hatton Fight on the inside probably the worst refereeing performance I have seen
Thats not true
Let's be honest since ufc got seriously about drug testing the knockouts dont happen as much u also have alot of decisions in ufc too cause non championship fights are only 3 rounds really lol nate diaz touched on this he said it a few times that 90% ufc fighters are juicing/steroids. i enjoy both n respect Both but boxers have more skills imo
VALUE
V good
Is it me or does Joe Cortez have slurred speech?
Sloppy Joe Cortez
Whats that white chalky shit on cortez suit
Niall paul Malone it's just the shine on the threads of the suit.
Boxing sucks MMA all the way
Great insight here's a cookie.
Gary Harrison thanks, find my expert level critisism on buzzfeed
Your an idiot
