The W12-Powered 2023 Bentley Bentayga Speed is the End of an Era

After more than 20 years, ‪@bentleymotors‬ is discontinuing their famed W12 engine! We hadn't experienced the W12, ever, so #Bentley sent a #Bentayga our way for a week to try it out before it's gone. The Bentayga Speed is the only way to get a W12 in the Bentayga SUV for 2023, and production of the big 12-cylinder will cease in April 2024.

I’m thinking about the V-8 or hybrid version. Of course, the Flying Spur is on my radar as well. But you’re absolutely right - don’t get black (or white or silver for that matter) as you can get any car in those colors. Same with the interior - anything can be had in boring beige, black, or grey. I think I’d theme the inside and outside to match one of my commercial buildings that I call “Blutopia” - everything in blue!

Such a cool vehicle but for the money I still think the Flying Spur is the Bentley to get. Those just have so much presence. The Bentayga has a bit, but kinda gets lost among all the other similarly sized and shaped SUVs.

The Bentayga is the Bentley for "Bentley owners who want an SUV" or people who are new to the brand and think it's gotta be SUV or nothing. It serves a purpose but agreed on the Flying Spur being "The Bentley" in our eyes too.
