Hello, cool video i know its a couple years old, but my main question is in the manual it calls for maxima plush light fluid in each side of the bottom legs 10mils each and 3mils of heavy ontop of the air spring. I was wondering why you are using the rockshox 0w30 stuff is it a better feel or just cheaper oil to get the same results? Thanks 👍🏽
Hey there Jo Jo, to be honest when I did this is was right before they started using the maxima oil. I was using the manual that was prior to that. And it worked great. Hope that answers your questions.
The one thing that you didn’t put on this was while installing new airspring you should have the air pump still hooked up to relieve tad bit of pressure created when installing air spring. I could not get the spring to stay in shaft until air was bleed Other then that this was a great video to use!
thx a lot for the tutorial! sry for the nooby question but....with this mod, do you mantain the same axle to crown distance than before conversion or do you lower 20mm the A2C with the drop in travel? cheeers
Sorry for my ignorance here lol. I have that fork. Do I need to buy a separate 200mm shaft? This fork came on my '21 Kenevo Expert and is currently set up for 180. Or do I have to make adjustments on the shaft that is currently in there? Thanks whoever can clarify for me!
As always, a great video Erik, brilliantly explained and demonstrated. Thanks for sharing, buddy. Ride on and have fun
Thanks brotha trying to do more tutorials on the channel to help people work on there bikes.
@@RydenDirty I think that's great and you're doing a great job.
@@ckMTB thanks brotha
I rate that difficulty 5 of 10. Thanks.
Nice dude thanks for the comment
Awesome bro.
I recently did this to the Fox36. Went from 160mm to 150mm .
Haven't taken her out yet to try the new travel.
Sick bro you better get out there and ride it lol
Nice video well explained! You should make a full service video, cheers
Hahaha I should but I’m lazy lol
This was a really well done tutorial man! Its amazing how easy it is to work on forks. I am with you...I give it a 2/10! Keep it up dude!
Thanks brochacho. I was always afraid to work on them. Now I'm always ready to dive in🤙

Thanks for pointing that out I never thought of that🤙
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
No problem. Thanks for watching
Definitely one of the clearest tutorials I’ve watched. Any tips on where to purchase a180mm air spring?
Thank you for the kind words. I try my best to explain the process. I got mine on Amazon but it's sold out 🤷♂️
Hey if you use this link you can get the air spring now. It's in stock and you'll be helping the channel out as well

idk mine was a battle but also my first time so i say a 5 for a noob. Great video brotha, diggin some of those camera angles too. 👊
That's not bad being a 5 for your first time 😉
Thank you. Great Tutorial
No problem my dude🤘🤘🤘
Hey so I was wanting to figure out if this is the same thing you would do if I want to make a 180mm travel boxxer a 200mm? Thank you!
Yes exact the same my dude. I go back and forth

Glad it helped!!!! I would say yes it would shorten it for sure
Will a new Rockshox Boxxer Select work with a 26 inch front wheel with 20mm thru axle
Sure why not 🤘
Is rockshox Suspension Fluid the Same as the oil and rockshox rear Shock grease the Same as stick Honey?
From what I understand the stuff I’m using is slightly better
Hi can you sendo me the link to buy the air spring or ONLY the spec pls?
What year is your boxxer fork and what model?
@@RydenDirty Can this be done on a pre-2018 boxxer? i am looking to run 180 on a 2014 model
@@boobnersteeze5689 I’m not sure if that year has air springs to be honest. But I’m sure you could find parts for it, it could be done

No worries my dude. You will need to get another air spring at 200mm and swap them. 🤙
Any update on this? I have the same bike and was curious if it’s worth the $$. Thank you.
Been wondering about this as well
Great video! I was going to go from 180 to 200 . Is there a reason the 180 is better on this fork?
Only reason I put it at 180mm is because that's the most travel my frame can have
@@RydenDirtyIch habe ein Specialized Kenevo Expert mit einer Rock Shox Boxxer 180mm . Weißt du ob der Rahmen auch 200mm kann ?
Aren't supposed to put oil in the positive and negative air chamber
Some do and some don’t. The grease is usually enough unless you’re not going to service it often
Do you need a new air spring?
Yea in order to change the travel
@@RydenDirty Thanks for the answer.
How to get a boxxer longer?
How long?
@@RydenDirty any longer ? Is there possibility ?
Those are some beefy forks!
Hell ya dude for straight bombing
