no more fox for me.. kashima coat of my fork is slowly losing bits of coating (not supose to happen).... so... for me boxxer.

Kashima is just a Placebo for stupid kids who spend their money on a golden looking fork to being cool. Their is no advantage, it's just marketing. But there are enough stupid people who pay so much money for this shit
Yes Jeff I have a downhill bike!! Old school FOES Slammer with a Fox coil sprung 40! It is still one of my favorite bikes and my son has a Hydro that I can also ride which is also nice!!

Still rocking a Marzocchi 888 RC3 Evo v2 non-ti on a mullet Giant Faith 0 2010. With the correct spring, still feels like a dream.
I have a specialized status 2 which rides a boxxer RC with a compression damper and the bike is amazing.
I have a '18 Tues. It had the previous boxxer rc, but i swapped it to a bomber 380 c2r2. I love the fork swap

About your beginning comment somewhere along the lines of small dh market, not here on the East Coast, DH bikes are a must for bike parks out here.
Just bought a Devinci Wilson Carbon GX 10s for $4000 Canadian and I found out it came with the DebonAir!

My bike is a Gambler 26" with Fox40. Love it so much. Until my bike gives up on me I will keep riding it. This Boxxer looks good though. Still prefer Fox40 feeling. If I had 5 bikes, they all be downhill bikes. Downhill 4 life.
What exactly makes the Fox a better fork for you?

what's Really funny to me now a day is that the trail bikes are sometimes bigger travel and better geo than the OLD SKOOL DH bikes... I feel better decending on my 5 " travel 29'er or my LT 27.5 bike........ just saying

My dh came with a boxxer and it works great but i like the new red one bc it would look sick on my bike but ive tried mrp and dvo and they are sick too oh and i used to have a marzochi on my old dh
What's the weight compared to the fox 40 (how much lighter)?
It's about 200 grams lighter than the Fox 40.

Man I would love a Downhill bike like that glory or my fave the Demo but Im having a hell of a time trying to convince the wifey to let me get a proper trail bike. But Ive always been a fan of the RS boxxer and this one is no different.

You have a good point! We actually had no downhill bikes on hand for testing and a friend of mine let us borrow that one. I usually have a Transition Tr11, Devinci Wilson or Pivot Phoenix to ride during the summer dh season. But since it was off season we had to borrow a bike :)

I notice you have DH forks on Enduro Bikes, I know its not for the Video because you have a Giant Glory. *But does putting a DH Fork on a "Regular Mtb" void any Frame warranties??? Was just curious 🤔
It can void a warranty but it really depends on the manufacturer.
I have a 2022 specialized Kenevo expert. It has the boxxer I want to make a 29 in front. Do they sell world cup lowers for it.

Hi Jeff :D This is not the first time I hear something similar to this from you so want to make sure... 5:35 "RC version has a single compression adjustment - that tweaks HIGH and LOW in a unison..." I am quite sure that on RC model (just like most other forks with single comp. adjust) the compression adjuster changes Low speed compression ONLY and and high speed compression is set via shim - usually that would be middle setting of high speed on RC2... Could you please check with the RS and FOX guys how it actually works? If I remember you said something similar about fox36 when it came out last year... (you were sitting on the sofa with that fork:D) Cheers, Thanks ;)
I’m trying to build up an intense m29 frame but I don’t know if I should get rockshox or fox forks, I like the thicker stanchions on the fox 49 but I like the look of the rockshox wit their aluminum crowns and that they’re lighter than the fox 49

Would running this at 180mm instead of a fox 36 at 180mm be stiffer since it’s triple crown? Is the downside, weight? I’m new to the downhill world!
Yes, the BoXXer would be stiffer but definitely heavier!

Can you ride a downhill bike as a normal trail bike or are they too heavy and is the geometry wrong. I ride dirt bikes and race Motocross and thought just having a downhill bike would be pretty fun or taking the engine out of one of my KTMs and riding downhill on that
