If you go down to the woods today - you may find a lost "Rachel". Oh my word that could have been scary but glad it got sorted ok. Nice views and scenery - very peaceful I guess. Looks like a nice site as well.
Oh Tim I did get scared! I put the map thing on my phone but because the wood was so dense there was a delay in signal so I was actually getting further away! The people on the trees was actually Go Ape - I was that lost! 😞
But I loved the site and area and 100% would go back x

I did start to panic Daniel. I kept getting further away instead of closer to the site. It hey there are worse places to be lost!

Hi guys nice vlog,we haven't been to Buxton campsite yet but we will try it next year. Carsington water near buxton is nice we have been 3 times this year,its in a woodland setting thats a Camc site too.
Reservoir is down the road too which is a nice walk,dog friendly for roxy too. Glad Rachel is ok, you,ll have to take breadcrumbs next time and leave a trail lol. See you in the next one xx
😂😂😂 good idea re breadcrumbs - I am shocking at directions! I put the map thing on my phone but was moving further away from the car park but when I turned round (which I did many times) I was still getting further away
Ohhh we went to Carsington last year - we enjoyed that site too xx

Aww Rachel, I have to say that happened to me😅 not quite as long as you😊and thankfully a local lady put me back on the right track. ❤
It’s quite scary isn’t it! I had given a couple directions at the top of the hill 😂😂 I hope they didn’t follow them!
I used the map thing on my phone but I seemed to be getting further away all the time!
Lesson learnt - I’m rubbish at directions!

My wife and i were there in September, if you enjoyed that one try Blackshaw Moor campsite. There are some fabulous walks from there to Luds church and the Roachers. Buxton has a real nice vibe to it.

Amazing that you guys have just visited this lovely site as I was there with my dogs at the start of the month. My second visit. I would echo all your comments about the site, I love it and will be back again in 2025. It’s also well located to drive out and visit what else the Peak District has to offer such as the Monsal Trail, Tissington Trail, Bakewell, Chatsworth and Castleton for Mam Tor. Thanks for sharing.
I loved it! Peaceful, quiet, great facilities, epic dog walk (without getting lost) but still close to town. 100% my favourite club site. The wardens were great too!

Yip been there worn the T shirt, me and my wife got lost in thetford forest.
On our mountain bikes.
Must admit did feel a bit scary.
But thankfully came across some forest machinery which we see as we went in so found our way back as the light was failing.
Thank goodness it wasn’t only me! I thought I went back through the gate I went In but it transpires it wasn’t! The harder I tried to get back the further away I was getting!
I’m glad you survived the ordeal too!

We went there in a borrowed Bailey. There are some lovely walks there. 😊 Lost in Buxton. How did you manage to use "Lost in France" without copyright strikes? Ah Lickd.
Thanks Bob. It’s a great site isn’t it with some great walks and the handy little country park if you’re early. The Buxton and lost in France just got stuck up in my head with the mood of the track (if you spotted Rachel’s face when the music started you will get my drift 😀)
Yes, Lickd all be it can be a pain clearing copyrights at times as they seem to rarely auto clear - thankfully today it did given my hand to mouth production 😀

Hello. Just watched your Buxton video lovely place went there many times as a little boy when we lived in Sheffield. Now in Norfolk. Oh dear u will say...... We went out this weekend first time to coast in our home Sainsbury van conversion. Sprinter ran like a dream. 35 mpg. Glad u found Rachel, u must have been worried if she was safe. Did u add liquid moly mos2 oil additive as we last spoke about in previous text?. My mowers had it for every season it now 34 yrs old. Looking forward to seeing your next video. David did some emergency tracker thing on my phone which is how he found me. Well once I had stopped moving about 😂😂 because the wood was so dense the signal was rubbish and it was struggling to get a signal. Never mind I got out eventually! 😂😂 I will ask David re car auction as there looked to be some crackers there x
Must be 10 years since we have been to Buxton, forgot how much there is to do in that area will have to get back

@@LeisureBit The paths in those woods are a bit of a maze it is quite easy to take a wrong path there.
Hi I’m looking to visit Buxton in our camper so want a site walking distance from the town and some walk plus cycling routes. Would you say this is the best site or are there better ones ?
It’s the only one we’ve tried in Buxton so probably worth checking to see if others may be more suitable - we loved the site and plenty of walks and you could cycle up the road and catch tracks from there I believe (but worth checking out)
