- Have you seen the Genetron battle the Xeyed? These two custom races are the highest rated mod on all of Starcraft II (the Scion Custom races). This is a tournament match between Quoror (Xeyed, a zerg-like race) and MyLifeFor Aiur (Genetron, a terran mech race) on the map Zen LE.
The mod was designed by SolStice.

Recently I saw these robots from a Russian-speaking UA-camr, he proposed to create 4 races, and now robots are winning. Sorry for the mistakes, I am writing through the translation.

Me neither, until a few months ago. I don't usually like to mess with mods, as I like my units to perform as they're supposed to, with current patch. But I had to make an exception here.

Sad that there's so few videos about this mod! This is still one of the better showcases. Btw, a little late, but the title and description have a typo - It's "Xayid" not "Xeyed"!
Thanks! Fun fact, the race was originally titled Xeyed and it remained that way for some time, but it was changed in a design update. Here it looks like, I've gone with the old title. So yeah, it's wrong. But it sounds like you may know more about this than I do.

Nice to see I'm not the only Scion caster! There hasn't been a tournament in awhile though, sadly.
Also, if you use the middle mouse button to pan, it's a lot smoother for the viewer than using the arrow keys. At least imo. ; )
I don't know that I qualify as a Scion caster having only made the one vid, but I think I can call myself a fan. Always happy to get observing tips, I'm working hard to raise my game in that area. On my set up, I've found the middle mouse button slow, but if the end result improves the viewer experience than I really need to learn to use it more. P.S. Cool channel, Sir!

That would be sensational. I understand there is a tournament underway in which they recruited Master level players and possibly grandmaster level players. No pros yet to my knowledge.

Good eye! Occasionally you can spot the recycle. I think some are completely new and have no origin in the game.

I tested the xeyed years ago. I personnaly love them. Didn't know genetron were a thing, but those races are actually super good.
Awesome! The genetron is tons of fun to play. Hopefully you will get a chance to check out some keiron as well (the new protoss-inspired race). We've got lots of keiron vids around here.

@@ZugzwangStarcraft It's already been released, even as of this your reply, albeit it is currently available exclusively in the "Keiron [Fourth Race]" extension mod. Full integration into the Scion Custom Races mod will come later.

Where can I find the mod? Does it has to be installed separately?
I got you covered Master! Watch the video at 17:50 - there's a step-by-step tutorial on how to get the mod on your own PC. It's free and no, it doesn't need to be installed separately. It's available right in Battlenet when you set up a game. Let me know if you have any problems and I'll see if I can help.

If there's interest, I'm always game! I figured I might try some other players and try to show the diversity of strats available. In particular, there's a number of higher tier units I failed to display. But maybe a full series is what is needed.

@@quoror747 I did have one interesting match playing ZvG in that same tournament. Though, it was a cheese (not a 12 pool) so idk if it's up to the quality of games Zugzwang likes to cast. XD

Is there a 3rd protos base race?
I don't think so, no. There was plans for one at one time, but it was never released. Maybe one day?

Then there's Kerregan's new DNA race, a super mix race. To make it more interesting. Though it would be complicated, but it would be more fun for the story.

I can’t tell if quorors retreats are incredibly stupid or he is too smart for us to understand
I vaguely recall having the chance to speak (type) to him about this game and he volunteered he was unusually hesitant in parts and he himself did not know why. I can't remember what he said exactly so I don't want to misquote him. But I am with you, whatever it was it worked out for him so it's hard to evaluate it. I assure you though, he's a very very smart dude.
This game was pretty embarrassing for me. Especially since it’s zuggs most popular scion video.

Awesome! Thanks for the great game MyLifeFrAiur. This one was lots of fun. My impression is the spitfire is going to get a lot of attention as the genetron's 'mineral dump' unit and so we will likely continue to see a lot of it.

Yet the creater failed to give any of the new races a proper way to see invisible units. Horrible detection so just use invisible units n all the scion races die unless it got updated haven't used it in a long time
Yeah, that's not really true anymore, if it ever was. All the scion races have multiple options for detection largely on par with the classic factions.

Xyid & scion are pretty low compared to Nekron khkh Keiron i mean.
