👍 I like Rough Ryder knives so I cannot argue with your Top 5 selections. Have you tried the Rough Ryder Reserve Common Stock knife?

Great video thanks. Great looking knives in your collection. Have you seen the Boker Tree Brand large Stockman knife manufactured in Sloligen Germany yet? I just ordered the large 4 inch closed Stockman knife from USA owned Boker Tree Brand premium line of Boker Knives manufactured in Sloligen, Germany with Sloligen stamped on blade & with the chestnut tree logo stamped on the blade. They only stamp the tree logo on there premium line and the cheaper Boker Knives manufactured in China, Taiwan and Argentina do not have the tree stamp. The Stockman knife has a clip point, spey and sheep's foot blades rosewood scales and they used the German c75 carbon steel. I ordered the knife after I received my other Boker Tree Brand knife the Carver's Congress Whittler Pocket knife, from USA Boker and liked it a lot as it was hair cutting sharp and was a limited batch made with USA 1095 steel in Sloligen Germany. I recommend the Boker Tree Brand premium knife line of the Boker USA company as long as the tree logo & the Sloligen is stamped on the blade. I think when you are talking about the old school slip joint knives that Boker has been manufacturing in Sloligen Germany since 1869 or maybe as early as 1830"s you can believe that experience is going to show in their quality of knives and it does. Also like the Great Eastern Cutlery #62 Farm and Field pocket carver knife I have but their knives are always sold out and finding a Stockman knife will have to wait. I did use your link from your video when I finally pulled the trigger on the tri-jack pro knife from flexcut to help support your channel & Merry Christmas to you and your subscriber's.

Took the RR Carbon Sowbelly out to the woods today and it did pretty well, the sheep's foot is a great little carver. The grind on the main blade isn't even and there's a couple of small faults but it's solidly made and the carbon steel is good. It's going to get a lot of use, a good knife.

Have you seen the new RR series with the G10 and VG-10 steel? Adjustable pivots on a Stockman.

@@JohnnyJuke I've seen the Stockman. Only recently got into the pattern, got the Sowbelly and a German made Boker, both good slip joints. I liked what I saw with the VG10 and could see it being Stockman number 3.

Half stops are pretty much a must for me on these, Im always slicing myself. Rough Riders are no joke, have you noticed some say rough ryder and some say rough rider. I need to research, not sure if its a title thing or the other is a knock off of actual rough riders? You should check out the Backwoods Bushcrafter Hawksbill RR1843(I did an ok'ish review on it). The thing is beautiful(they make a regular version, non hawksbill, too) and the display box is amazing....seriously check it out I think you might like it man!! My fav is the same as yours. Keep doing what your doing, I love these top 5 vids lately

They used to be Ryder, then they switched to Rider because that's how everyone ends up spelling it,, and I believe, but I'm not positive, they are switching back to Ryder now..going back to their roots I guess.
