I’m not normally a commenter on videos, just a consumer of them, but holy cow dude. Thank you. You show how to do the stitch before just going off on a time lapse etc, you talk through your work, explain how to count stitches/keep your place, as a newbie, thank you. I’m currently 21, I live in the US, my great-grandmother who passed away last year taught me to crochet when I was about 10 or so, and I could only do one single chain and make reaaaallllllyyyyy long single chains 😂 My best friend found out she was pregnant 5, almost 6 months ago now, and when she found out I immediately wanted to buy something for her and the baby. But I don’t have much money, and I wanted it to be more meaningful than a store-bought thing. So I figured what better way to get back into crochet. Five months later so far I’ve made about 5/6 blankets varying in size from baby blanket to a king size bed, a pair of baby mittens and boots, 3/4 hats, and now soon, this adorable lovey. Thank you for your hard work 💜
Girlllllll the tips about stuffing the head with the bottom of the crochet hook????? I just got to that part and like YASSSSS THANK YOUUU 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I’m loving this. Wanting to make the same size for my nephew. I buy yarn as needed and I know this video is a few yrs old but any chance you remember how many yards needed for this size or how many skeins of the yarn you used?
I just started watching and am SO CONFUSED by the sizes she is using for her hooks? No way thats a 2mm and a 4mm....it just doesn't add up in the US. My yarn is calling to use 5.5-6mm????
Your comment was from a while ago but, follow whatever hook your yarn calls for. The final piece size will vary depending yarn and hook size though. It shouldn’t be that big of a difference.
I know it's been a long time but for amigurumi you always use a much smaller hook so you don't have holes peeking through your work. At least, that is what I have learned.
