Hey Coooley! Have you considered +5 summon skeleton necro wands? They have to be a high qlvl wand, like unearthed wand, and rerolled down to a very low item level, then continuously rerolled until you get good stats. Something like +2 necro, +3 skeleton mastery, +3 raise skeleton is possible. Amazing video! To add, Zealer Viso's are extremely rare (especially ones with high defence) and the jewels that are necessary to place in are equally as rare. All the items you listed are indeed very rare items but pretty much any Eth-rep Cruel (Anything with 450 Enhanced Damage, 250 ATR, 20 Minimum Damage, or 40% IAS) are equally/if not more rare then the items shown in this video. It's also noteworthy to mention that E-rep seraph rods exist which are almost unheard of to have "The right stats listed" for zealer pvp. An example of one is 450% ED,250 ATR, Eth Rep, 40 IAS, 2 Paladin Skills, 3 Fana Base, 3 Zeal Base, 3 Defiance (Or holy shield). As a zealer the main goal is to reach maximum damage/ AR/ DEF/ and appropriate 5/5/5/5/8 frame rates in order to excell in GM Zeal. But Still, this is amazing content. Agree with all of your videos Please do a video on the dynamics of GM zealers!
feel you on the jewelry! been farming alot of stuff on pd2 season2, and never identified a ring that worth noting yet, and i identified ALOT of rings! :D
I don't remember all the stuff i found in the game, last time i played it was uh.... 8-10 years ago. Resurrected will dominate my life as D2 once did. I dimly recall finding some extraordinary items, not so odd when the game was on every day for years. I was just about to start playing it again when i heard of the new release, and decided to wait. With this absence from the game it will probably feel like new old/new. I forgotten so much about combining items and runes that i will be back on noob level 😂
I had one still in1.14 but they finnally got me on inactivity. I also had a viper whorl. Gonna speak on another topic but it took me 10 years to farm a whole set of xx/xx/x smallcharms. The memories.
as a new player to D2 this list reminds me of hybrid weapons from borderlands 1, items you may have found but probably not but either way you had no clue their rarity.
Forget the charges...never could afford Enigma, which would have (back then, I've not actively played D2 in a while!) completed (or at least buffed a lot) most of my characters (except the sorc, which can of course teleport herself)...never found all the runes for Enigma either :(

i'm on my way to complete my holy grail list, whats funny is that in january i have found a zod Rune, while i was doing cow runs with my javazon. And 1 month later i found another zod with my trapsin during baal runs in a random cave. but my Highlight is that i have found tyraels might last sunday with my blizz sorc, and that before templars might and blinkbats form, confirming it to be the 3rd rarest unique armor in the game :D i still have 13 itmes on my grail list, hope to find them soon
Love your content Coooley, real informative, even with like 20 years of experience in this game, I'm still learning new things, and the way you present them makes it really fun to watch! As for these super rare fantastic items, there's a certain love I have for my 20/20/3 sc.
First and only perfect item I've found was a 211 defense eth Shako. Had very mixed emotions, cause I needed a shako lol. Traded it for a decent Griffons for my javazon, so ended up a useful find in the end outside of finding a collector's piece
During my college days I had two roommates that were botters and wrote actual papers on D2/LOD back then. The amount of data they had was amazing. The shear amount of accounts running 24/7 was mind blowing. These were the days where playing on a Dell Inspiron was the shit. From knowing what diminishing returns yielded the best actual MF% for uniques; and here’s one I remember, knowing that for instance if averaged 19 per run on Pindleskin which their MF% at the correct number he would drop uniques at the top TC to get the higher stuff like Windy and others was on average 2 times a day with a wild 3rd once in awhile. This wasn’t the overall unique drop number but rather the uniques in the TC’s they were targeting. If I recall, i remember asking why not just max MF% and call it good. Their data showed that there is a threshold where if u go higher than their number u get diminishing returns on uniques while the scaling for blues/yellows keeps going so it hurts the chance for your MF to turn whatever drops into a unique. They were really into this stuff. They even got texts on their phone when something they wanted dropped and back then that was pretty wild. This back in I think 01’ish. But they would also run Meph since, again if I recall what they said.... Meph could drop up to TC84 but not higher. So while some things were off the table Meph could drop up to 6 items if I recall. So your MF % could by chance turn those unique. I was into D2 so naturally I would be stoked to see Shako’s, mesh armors and vamp gazes etc. I don’t remember them running countess for data but I imagine they did that too. I remember them discussing cow runs... while each has a very low chance the shear numbers can make up for that... this was to be another data point they wanted to gather. I saw laquered plate (Tals) and a few high end runes... this was before the color change for runes so they were so hard to see back then. I did see an Ohm though. I won’t give out the elusive magic number for the MF% since that wasn’t turn-key meaning they explained that kill speed is important as well so that number can change a little bit depending on what they are killing. I really miss the whole MF driven thing. I really enjoyed MF. I really want a game to bring that back. With consequences of course... naturally if ur wearing all MF u can’t do certain types of content until u find the right stuff. Then there’s progression tied to it. I think if dine right MF can be a good staple mechanic for an AARPG.
Jstods and jstoc could probably be in this list as well. Great list though, was heavy into pvp for a lot of years and am excited to get back into it with d2r.
Many moons ago, I snagged a 7 defence from *perfect* Crown of Ages in a public Baal run. Stuffed a self found Ber and a sweet resist/- requirements/fhr jewel a mate tossed me into it and used it on a pvp HoZ smiter. Sadly, I never found the godly awesome ghost claw my heart desired and *settled* for a cruel, fools, 10ias, greater talon I up'd you a runic. It worked ok, but I missed the last ias breakpoint for trap laying :( (All of this is sadly long gone).
I remember the best I ever got was a perfect rolled heart of the oak, and spirit monarch shield for a blizz sorc I ran. both saved me a small fortune for end game.
That perfect monarch should in and of itself is work a TON. I don't feel this guys list is that great... 1.10 was my best season with a perfect CTA, HOTO, COH, Mara's, eth treks, Anni, torch, and Spirit monarchs on both weapon swaps. Nothing better than going into a b-run and people telling the host to stop spamming their junk CTA to see who's boosting.
I'm going to keep the ambitions limited for my return to Diablo2: A barb main with the Bul Kathos set is my ultimate goal. High enough to reach already!
Here's a good thought on Auradins. The best compromise between "its too easy" and "I want it my way" is this. Balance the damage offensive elemental auras provide so that new items can be introduced that allow players to use them for supplemental AOE damage without having a viable option to go 100% Aura damage o overly rely on them. Basically, new items designed around using active skills with elemental aura AOE support damage over time. Aura damage should be increased from 2.3 but not be as high as what we've seen PTR 2.4 . PS just subscribed homie!
I've never had good luck with drops. But last week, within 2 days I found back to back sur runes. Same game. Cows and straight to trav. Next morning I found Griffins eye off a random unique in trav. Best 2 days of D2 I've ever had since playing the game as a teenager
One item that I was always curious about was a rare eth dimensional blade that you then could use the cube recipe to upgrade to a phase blade. Not sure if this is possible but it was always something that interested me in finding out at some point.
nice list, also the gg eth weapons that some people use like phase blades etc. i've also seen some BiS hammerdin warsceptres with 3 hammers 2 or 3 combat skills, fcr, and because you dont get damage from points in multiplyers these serve as best in slot for hammerdin damage.
Years ago I found a 2 necro/30 frw/20 fcr/57 life/9 all res/2os coronet off Pindle. In almost 20 years of constant play, it stands alone as my greatest find. I have a screenshot of it on my desktop.
I completed a holy grail in just five months, playing just a few hours each night, and skipping nights occasionally. It is a bit of a boring method but it works best in terms of time spent grinding. I leveled up a Blizzard Sorc and ran the Ancient Tunnels around thirty to thirty five thousand times (estimate based on average clear time and average number of hours played per night) until Azurewrath (I actually got two of this) and Tyraels dropped, then I spent some time running cows for the Cow Kings set, Trav a little for facets, then I finished up at Pindle and Thresh Socket. Oddly, the final item for me was Death Cleaver, sadly when I was down to just that damn item it took a couple of weeks for it to drop. I was so burned out and frustrated, yet sometimes you might get trolled in this way. RNG, got to love it! But, I did get a number of awesome rares, and a few great/perfect/eth roll uniques. A perfect Griffons Eye, an eth Deaths Web, to name just a couple. Unfortunately each of the three Deaths Fathom that I got rolled low stats. The only uniques that I got only one of were Tyraels, Crown of Ages, Mang Songs, Metalgrid, and the troll Death Cleaver. The dang COA had only one socket. I got four Stone of Jordan, a number of high runes of course, well a vast majority of the high runes I obtained while grinding LK for leveling up the Sorc, but I did get two Zod runes in the Tunnels, two Jah, yet only one Cham. My first Zod came off of a regular zombie, and I nearly left it behind, I dont know what the odds of getting a Zod off of a regular zombie are, but I suspect that was the most rare event I experienced throughout the whole grail. The second Zod I accidentally put into a socketed weapon in my stash. So that was an amusing moment. Oh and it was my birthday when I did that.. I had an exceptionally productive day on that occasion, I will never forget how strange it felt to be getting great drops on my birthday. Almost like the game was giving me birthday gifts, I got my first Astreons that day, my only Metalgrid, the wasted Zod, and a couple of other TC 87 items. It was insane. I wrote all that to basically say, it is not as hard to run a holy grail as it might seem. And it is an amazing experience, too. Surely if you give it a go you will have some awesome and memorable experiences. Also you will accumulate enough gear to level and equip many different types of chars. Of course, it can be done quicker. I learned this strategy from the Twitch streamer Enpherno, he has the world record for the quickest grails, heck he did a hardcore grail (streamed all of it) in under a month! He used more or less the method I outlined above. He also has a decent UA-cam channel with plenty of good videos to check out. :D
If I have learned something over the years, it's that just playing the game (without obsessing over item stats) is a lot more fun and fulfilling than hunting for "grails" and repeating the same run over and over again, hoping for some ultra-rare thing to drop.
Had a game breaking Necro summoner, had to do my boss runs solo cus the server would always crash if i played with other ppl and had all my summons up, 60 + something with 2 shouts and 2 auras.
MLD bows. 20 ias CTC amp cruel/GM 2 sockets - factor in it needs to spawn on an elite base because upgrading will ruin the level requirement. Same with top tier amp javs - all of the CF ones are level 48 req.
Hey Cooley, Glad I found this video. I just found eth greater talons with 40ias, 300ed, 8mana steal, 1-3cold dam, 150psn damage, +1 weapon block, +3 blades of ice... i almost shit myself when i ID'd them but my question is are they worth anything? should i Up them socket them and zod them? Or did they just miss the mark?
Rares and crafted are the Picasso items the super rich and long time Diablo 2 players chase at end game. And then followed by perfect unique especially ethereal. I have mule account with 31 SOJs and about 25 Maras and over 30 High runes collected and traded for in 20 years of playing... All currency to trade for elite Rares and crafted gear. And of course every ladder season my aim is to find a Tyrael. In over 12 years of Ladder playing I've found 4 Tyraels.. All muled.
Sometimes i think about all the insane godly rare items that could of just been thrown out by players who didnt know what they had.

Pd2 has increased drop rate due to base players 5. Its harder to legitimately find GG items on bnet.
Great video! I remember how happy I got back in the days when I crafted my 2 20 dex life res amulet for my hammer.
I wonder if anyone in the world has ever found a 100% perfect tyraels might. That must be crazy rare
If there was
This is one thing I love about D2 over D3. You can't have stats on an item in D3 unless it's modded
Just Tosted @ jsp dropping his like and comment. Keep it up brother!
Same! 11am eastern the grind begins
@@jackjurphy5020 😁🤘
I know I’m going to show my age here but anyone remember Corruption Grip Rings? Godly
The occy ring was way more OP. lol
I had one still in1.14 but they finnally got me on inactivity. I also had a viper whorl. Gonna speak on another topic but it took me 10 years to farm a whole set of xx/xx/x smallcharms. The memories.
@@liamengram6326 soj smallcharms? :D
as a new player to D2 this list reminds me of hybrid weapons from borderlands 1, items you may have found but probably not but either way you had no clue their rarity.
These items were straight up making me drool.
And can we just talk about that godly Joby-esque tele charge ammy 🤤
hahaha
Forget the charges...never could afford Enigma, which would have (back then, I've not actively played D2 in a while!) completed (or at least buffed a lot) most of my characters (except the sorc, which can of course teleport herself)...never found all the runes for Enigma either :(
@@dreamingflurry2729 couldnt afford enigma lol? its only two high runes. I did this dozens of times over as a 12 year old child. Trade, interact with friends and your community. Thats what the game is about.
GG video dude!
Thank you, brother!!
i'm on my way to complete my holy grail list, whats funny is that in january i have found a zod Rune, while i was doing cow runs with my javazon. And 1 month later i found another zod with my trapsin during baal runs in a random cave. but my Highlight is that i have found tyraels might last sunday with my blizz sorc, and that before templars might and blinkbats form, confirming it to be the 3rd rarest unique armor in the game :D
i still have 13 itmes on my grail list, hope to find them soon
I think i'm at 20 left. Good luck dude your close. Don't think i'm gonna find tyrael's might tho. If I do, my neighbours will notice... lol
@@vb6427 same dude, never thought i would find it and there it droped lmao, wasn't literally expacting that
Congratulations, man! haha Those are some GG finds.
@@Coooley oh yes, they are :D
Rares the the main reason I still MF this game...20 years later. Perfect rolled magic items and gg rares are my only grail.
I remember had zod rune a twice times in my life XD
Bro that opener was fire lol "i dont think he celebrated enough" hahaha good shit man
Love your content Coooley, real informative, even with like 20 years of experience in this game, I'm still learning new things, and the way you present them makes it really fun to watch!
As for these super rare fantastic items, there's a certain love I have for my 20/20/3 sc.
i found an ethereal archon staff and had no idea what it was lol. i'm still a new player, so these videos are helping a lot! thanks!
omg.. THOSE WARFISTS!!!!! BRUH IM DEAD!!!
SOOO GOOD lol... Never found anything close in my life lol
@@Coooley i've been all over d2jsp lately trying to find something even close. a temp. anything !! lol!
First and only perfect item I've found was a 211 defense eth Shako. Had very mixed emotions, cause I needed a shako lol. Traded it for a decent Griffons for my javazon, so ended up a useful find in the end outside of finding a collector's piece
I have still yet to see an SOJ drop and I’ve found Gull twice.
I've found 2 soj in the last 7 year run plus 2-3 hrs.
The Immortal king sacred armor..I've never seen one drop..i know most people had seen it drop but for me..I'll probably cry when it does..
Great list! What about those perfect sc and jewels? 40/15, 3/20/20, 20/5
Oh, yes. Good addition
Just commented this myself, and as i scroll down, i see were not alone lol.
Meant to include pics of 3/20/20's in the perfect item section! Will put this as a note on the list! GG, my friend.
Wow. A perfect eth Andy’s.
And that plague hood circlet, damn!!
I think if dine right MF can be a good staple mechanic for an AARPG.
hahaha iso copy of that work.
But who cares about unique items drops?? Rare and Magic items are where it's at. Honestly, I id everythying.
Those Doom Mark and Raven Talisman amulets at 2:49 are nasty.
Keep it up Cooley! I reckon ur channel might blow up when D2R is releasing. You have one of the best contents for D2 easily!
I appreciate that, man! Thank you
This is first video I watched from this channel and I instantly subscribed. :) Looking forward for another videos and D2Ressurected release
Thank you for putting the claws on the list. If they didn't make it I was gunna flip a table.
0:25 this reaction haha nice i never got this unique staff lol
I thought I would see some 100 life armors, 40/15 jewels or 3/20/20 sc. great video !
3-20-20 is non ladder only.. been that way since 2004
Very nice video! I love these gg rares. So useful , also have top tier style points 😁
Jstods and jstoc could probably be in this list as well. Great list though, was heavy into pvp for a lot of years and am excited to get back into it with d2r.
Agreed. Items like those deserve a whole 'nother list. Stay tuned!
It worked ok, but I missed the last ias breakpoint for trap laying :(
(All of this is sadly long gone).
I was always in the hunt for rare eth crystal swords with good stats that can be upped to PB. 😀
You ever get that feeling when you pick up a perfect magefist from hell mephisto. Ah so satisfying.
The Ethereal Zoded Hellslayer axe was my pride and joy.
One item that I was always curious about was a rare eth dimensional blade that you then could use the cube recipe to upgrade to a phase blade. Not sure if this is possible but it was always something that interested me in finding out at some point.
Saw someone post on jsp about a a month ago.. ETH PB upgraded from an eth crystal sword. Can't remember the mods but it was cool to see
nice list, also the gg eth weapons that some people use like phase blades etc. i've also seen some BiS hammerdin warsceptres with 3 hammers 2 or 3 combat skills, fcr, and because you dont get damage from points in multiplyers these serve as best in slot for hammerdin damage.
Great vid bro!
it would be nice if the whole video frame is you. We can't have enough of you in your videos lmao.
Years ago I found a 2 necro/30 frw/20 fcr/57 life/9 all res/2os coronet off Pindle. In almost 20 years of constant play, it stands alone as my greatest find. I have a screenshot of it on my desktop.
Wow I have never been excited about anything in my life like that. I'm pretty envious.
thank you for you video just before d2 res
This is the best new channel I've found
Hey Coooley, I just subscribed. Nice stuff ! Can't WAIT for D2R.
Thanks, man! Welcome aboard. Can't wait to play this game in HD!
:D
Love your videos .. always covers the cracks in what llama covers. You guys are both awesome
If I have learned something over the years, it's that just playing the game (without obsessing over item stats) is a lot more fun and fulfilling than hunting for "grails" and repeating the same run over and over again, hoping for some ultra-rare thing to drop.
Ok sure bud, no problem, you got it man, roger that chief, I hear ya homie
Had a game breaking Necro summoner, had to do my boss runs solo cus the server would always crash if i played with other ppl and had all my summons up, 60 + something with 2 shouts and 2 auras.
Was playing this game hard in college. Skipped class for Meph runs and got a legit SOJ. Traded that bad boy immediately for 15 dupes.
😂😂🤣 Mr lama is the best both you guys are amazing lol
I once rolled a perfect insight and it's on my light sorceress to meet the mana cost
Keep it up coooley! Can't wait to see more content from ya.
MLD bows. 20 ias CTC amp cruel/GM 2 sockets - factor in it needs to spawn on an elite base because upgrading will ruin the level requirement. Same with top tier amp javs - all of the CF ones are level 48 req.
Dude, you gotta have a badass two hand efools, ww stick on this list
Liking the vibe sir, earned a sub!
Much appreciated!
I was there when Alex Mr rLlamaSC got his Mang Songs. It was a good night indeed!
Def elite circlets! Great list!
1:29 A set of ghostly, self-repairing claws that shoot lightning and actively teach the Assasin Kung-Fu.
I love diablo 2.
All muled.
