Have fun. Don't let game become a 2nd job. If barb is your favourite character, start it with barb. You are not competing on ladder that you should find as much as possible on day 1. Allow yourself to have days where you play just for fun instead of chasing your your items on most efficient way possible.
I just started with a sorc, currently on NM difficulty..does the infinity work for a rogue merc? i decided to change my merc since the aura one always die charging head on.
@@happosai_sama5298 I made you a long reply but youtube being youtube, it doesn't like something in my comment so, it never appeared, like more than half of my comments I should note. Anyway, no, it doesn't work. But your merc can be made way stronger. He can survive most fights with proper gear.
Awesome video Phil, currently working on my own grail. It's been on and off for about 2 years now and the biggest thing that keeps me going is just taking breaks when I need. Part of what's wonderful about this game and keeps me coming back is how consistently fun the game is. Especially offline, there's no point burning yourself out when you're not racing anyone. Take your time, chill, and if you find yourself getting burnt out, take a break until you're excited to play the game again. Thanks for all the awesome content over the years, makes farming LK bearable! You're the best D2 content creator around.
I've been an offliner since the early days of D2 and the SPF. It's fun and rewarding starting over, and I've done it differently each time. My most recent run on D2R went Blizz sorc then hammerdin after I LK'd an enigma. Now I have the gear to start just about any character I want.
I don't really play d2 that much anymore, but still enjoy watching the videos! If you are like me, and you can't help yourself from saving every base, rune, unique, etc. Please make sure to make many alts that are organized. It's probably better to have too many alts, that are labelled with "Armor bases" "Unique Helmets" etc, than having to look through 10 characters to find your 3os mage plate!
Your videos among many helped me finally beat Hell all by myself single player, something I’ve never done before in the original D2 (which I played a lot of back in the day).
I completed my grail with a barb starter. Hell countess till I can farm Trav, and then Trav till eyes bled (and made Enigma). Of course completing grail takes way longer than finishing a character. Now I completed a 2nd grail and sitting on 2 lvl 99 characters, and the 3rd is halfway there :) I did most of it before terror zones came out, for TZ farming I'm rocking a FoH/Auradin hybrid, and I have to say that any kind of hybrid FoH paladin would be my go to choice, now that terror zones are out.
I definitely recommend a muling program for inventory management. It keeps your character list clean and allows you to check what items you have without needing to boot up the game.
One thing I'd recommend for new players on their sorceress is not to switch immediately into blizzard at level 24 or whatever that level is and instead wait a few levels so you have more points to spend...maybe level ~30 or so. I've heard a lot of people say it was kind of a bad experience switching immediately.
I just do P8 eldritch to level 30, you can spam fast and gets really good xp. Only takes a few mins to get those extra points. Best to get to 25 first in a chaos or act3 though. At 30 you easily do enough damage to start cranking out baals to 40 with blizz.
Super appreciate the thoughts on Enigma vs. Infinity. I have this very decision on my hands and I have been anguishing over it w two Ber runes and two handful of mid runes. I was leaning enigma, and this felt like timely reassurance❤ also the prospect of more LK (on console offline btw) is just brutal. Appreciate the condensed content, great guide that I have basically just completed over the last 2mo after 20yr away from D2
Also watched a video from sir fox w new simulations showing different player counts in LK are better than P7 (specifically P5). Sir fox cited another player, but their research looked well written
@Milkdoor my own RNG seems much worse than that lol, but honestly my run times aren't as fast as 2 per minute so might just be confirmation bias on my part. Here's hoping for that last Ber rune tonight🤞
@@frohairicwell he simulated MILLIONS of runs. So to say every 1700 runs doesn’t mean you won’t go thousands without your ber. Good luck and keep going!!
I'm not sure you're giving good advice here since the introduction of Terror Zones. If you complete the game as Cold Sorc then you'll be able to open up the TZs and farming the TZs for the relevant Sunder charm has to be way more efficient and enjoyable than grinding Lower Kurast for the high runes need for Infinity? In fact I'd say to any beginner starting out, forget all the high stuff because that comes later. Sometime months later. Get good on characters with basic and junk items. Anyway, even without a Cold Sunder, Frozen Orb/Hydra is a workable build early on. Just have to remember that the Sorc in Hell can be really soft. Stealth, Spirit, Lore and Insight are all early targets. Peasant Crown socketed with a Topaz is a cheap alternative to Shako. You can roll for a Prismatic amulet if an all res doesn't drop. Any items that will help increase your mana pool early on is good. Sapphires in the helm for example. 10FCR rings with mana. Mana charms. I always bring my spell casters up to a base DEX of 35 so they'll be able to wield HOTO on a flail. A small sacrifice that can avoid a respec. Again for spell casters, base STR up to 160 which would cover requirements for dusk shrouds, Archon plates, but mostly the Spirit Monarch. Except for Hammerdins who can use a 4os class shield instead. Non-spell casters go up to STR 105. A 3os bow with emeralds is useful in Normal Diablo fight. You can keep him at range and eventually whittle him down. Also useful for a sorc early on when low on mana. Use a combo of casts and shooting until the mana pool can be grown and replenished with greater mana pots. Early farming targets could be Blood Raven (to get merc prior to lvl 8), Coldcrow, Bishbosh, Rakinishu and Countess. Or it might be better to push. Gambling can be a thing early on too. I always stash/mule early items for twinking new characters. Good targets to keep are: 1-2 cold damage charm for the melee builds Mana charms. Low level set items - Hsarus, Deaths Guard belt/gloves, Arctic, set etc Sigons for early melee builds is great. Plus AR rings, in lvl 0, lvl 3, lvl 6, lvl 9 and lvl 12 tiers. After that eventually you get Angelic amu/ring combo. An assortment of items that bear resistances. Lightning and fire are priorities. Wands and Sorc Orbs that could have useful +skills, otherwise good to sell. Small charms with +resistance. Any large charms from Act3 NM onwards are good for re-rolling and going for plus skill charms. That's why you hoard and cube normal and flawless gems and skulls. Grand charms can be good for high values, but large charms are probably not worth keeping most of the time. I don't worry about a 4os polearm dropping. Either I gather the items for rolling in the cube or one drops in Hell. Fallen camps in Act 1, especially on TZ, and no MF seem to be as good a way as any to farm for these. Finally in single player it is possible to lvl quickly early on in players 8. It doesn't seem to be much harder. Nightmare Terror Zones on players 8 is a really good way to earn experience quickly, especially in the early acts. Those TZs will also drop all manner of useful items.
Yeah sorc can easily get through all of hell with just blizz/hydra and merc with insight, I did it using wealth and yellow orb with +2skills spirit on monarch and the cap with 42% mf and nagel rings/chance guards yellow boots with mf etc all extreme budget stuff, even after getting cold sunder charm I like to have hydra because it just clears the old cold immunes faster still. Extremely squishy though and not worth running baal more than once, just sticking to andy/meph until getting good gear is easy though.
this is a great video, good job phil. I think this is a fine way of starting. I play hc and that makes starting with the sorc a bit of a challenge, ill actually farm nightmare for a very long time act1-5. just until i get stuff like shaft stop, tgods, string of ears, anything to boost the ability to not die. My favorite starter char is probably the sin, wake of fire for the first 30-40 levels then switch to death sentry/kick hybrid. works really well, i get a teleport amulet or staff and that build right there is just insane, not great mfer tho. going barb early can be done well, going screamer barb into ww, after finding some weapons, especially on hc, having that battle orders early is a world of difference. Lots of ways to start, I think your way is solid.
PHIL! For those of you who don't know Slivenius and Pavke conformed LK P5 is best and faster for Enigma and Infinity. Slivenius made a post with all the math on reddit.
I'm going to run counter to SweetPhils recommendation. You absolutely should beat the game. The sorcerer can fairly easily do it with some farming. Just don't play hardcore. Why should you beat the game? Terror zones. You want to unlock those as fast as you can. Farming them is just another way of breaking the monotony. I'd say getting the enigma before infinity is correct, incase you want to switch to other characters, like the paladin for your smiter, so that you can start to do ubers for torches.
I also would recommend doing the izual quest for the 2 extra skill points, they don't make a huge difference but they're relatively easy to get and can help
I think terror zones are a must. Respec to Frozen Orb and (insert Fire skill), finish game, attack Terror Zones and turn the farming to Easy mode. Currently 125 items in the Holy Grail started 3 weeks ago casually 1-2 hours per day
One problem I see in this guide and experience(d) myself running the Holy Grail is that everyone assumes everyone wants to endleslly grind/farm the same boss with the same character. For many that's where the fun dies because of the low drop rates. You may seriously be running Andy or Meph with your Sorceress dozens of hours in a row... My top tip for all of you who don't like that; run the game with each char normal to hell but set yourself to the limitation that you must always pursue 200 or more Magic Find (MF). It will be a challenge to make every build work with such gear but that makes it more rewarding and has as added benefit that you typically will always find enough good items to progress one or the other character. By the time you've made all character types to beat Hell Baal you will have diverse builds, all with MF, allowing you to diversify your farming as desired. And when you've reached the holy grail, do it all again but now with different builds. Maybe no Javazon, no trapsin, no hammerdin, no blizz sorc or go Hardcore. All ways to increase the skill cap
my first one is always a skeleton (with mages!) summoner with dim vision, freezing merc. decrepify on stronger ones, with the merc monsters have no chance - they hardly move at all. it starts relatively slow, but once you have gear for your merc so he doesn't die you can run around in hell, cast your minions with +skill gear, swap to mf. its not an act boss killer - they take some time - but for everything else its just walking, little casting and collect the riches.
I am just playing for fun. I have a bunch of characters from level 1 to 14 lol. I find some nice gear and build a new character to use it. I also use the shared stash to just share the best gear every character can use. It's fun to compare the different builds even if I only play them until level 6 lol
@@dixonnass2443 yes I think so too. at this rate I will never reach a point where I can farm for gear but for me Diablo 2 was always my favorite for trying out different builds. Diablo 3 was farming focus and it got boring. Diablo 4 was fun for the story but i got bored as soon as I beat the game because it was also endgame loot grinding focus same as diablo 3. diablo 2 somehow its so simple yet fun even if im clearing den of evil and defeating blood raven dozens of times.
@user-hf2zi8bk6r i never got any good gears from diablo 2 ever. So just dropping random uniques and set items was rewarding. In diablo 3 and 4 they throw so much legendary gear and you just scrap them all because they werent 1% stronger than your existing one. I like diablo 2 where the skills are so strong you dont even need good gear to do baal runs.
I played each character to hell act 1 then started mfing with blizzard sorc. I mule the character specific stuff on the corresponding character and the universally good stuff in shared tabs. I do a checklist and don't keep most stuff.
I really struggled with the enigma vs infinity debate. Had 2 bers sitting in my stash for a while. Then they released the Cure Runeword, which put the Nova Sorc over the top. I had already made a COH with my first ever BER which just sat in my stash and felt like a waste, now it was best in slot for a prayer merc, it had a purpose. So i made a self wield infinity in a sick looking scythe. I got so nervous to roll it , then to my amazement i saw a -55 , which makes up for the fact that litterally every other expensive runeword ive rolled has been below average. (5 ctas all 3 BO or less, a ebotd warpike that rolled almost anti perfect 352% / 12%, my highest grief rolled +364).
Also, if you find something like an eth Windhammer, or even just the IK maul, 1 point into Iron Golem makes necro blaze through late normal and all of nightmare.
Hi thanks for the video i am thinking of buying d2r for a long time and doing my own grail. Is there a written guide for a cold sorc how to lvl build and step by step improve her?
NEW SWEET PHIL!! I have a serious question. How can I play Diablo 2 resurrected with my single player character but with friends like we used to do in old school Diablo 2? I've noticed that they removed tcpip so so I'm wondering what mods allow you to play Diablo 2 Resurrected with single player characters in a group.
Excellent video Phil, just started my own Holy Grail! Decided to start with a barb in my first stream and everyone recommended to do a blizz sorc to start - spoiler alert: I should have listened 😂
In LoD I would agree not to finish the game right away, but in D2R it is another story. Get to lvl 91 ASAP; terror zones will help with that. The drops from TZ hell andy improve a LOT when you're lvl 91, same with the other act bosses. And just to mention it, TZ NM andariel drops equal or better than hell andariel when lvl 69 or higher. Also, might want to stop by NM andariel anyway, because of the 1:31 odds of getting a SoJ if she drops a unique ring. Best odds in the game. Also looking for some MF gear (Goldwrap, Nagel, Chanchies, Tarnhelm, Tancred boot+amulet, Tal amu, etc) and generally useful items such as vipermagi, magefist, frostburn, good chance for rare amulets, merc stuff like shaftstop... and that's when not terrorized. Also, as soon as shaft and/or gaze is available, you can level safely on pindleskin very quickly. Merc tanks, Glacial Spike once or twice to freeze the whole gang, then couple of blizzards finish them off, even at max players.
I'd dual spec the sorc with Fireball, it wrecks Andy and makes Meph fall faster. Helpful in the stony tombs too and many other places. I actually disagree on the old Infinity VS Enigma first question. Sure Enigma gives you convenience, faster runs. But Infinity opens up /players7 for many builds which I find more interesting than just being able to skip parts. More rune drops. Many areas don't really need teleport, and many builds can manage a high run speed, or do with a teleport staff in the meantime. Sure the necro kinda really needs enigma, the hammerdin makes more sense with it. But many other builds don't really need it.
started my first Holy Grail on Single Player. Started with my favorite class the Barbarian, and well, found a Lo rune doing Den of Evil on Hell. Guess I'd just struggle to find the mal for my Grief and will be izi.
On my pally grail I just went straight to LK and got insanely lucky in getting the runes for both Hoto and the runes to cube up to Enigma in under like...1000 runs.
necro is the best for absolute fresh starts. the summoner can clear the entire game without a respec. that is literally the only reason i do it. the summons cover all immunities, albeit sometimes it can be slow. it can be done. otherwise, you can do the meta sorc. i would recommend just getting to hell and farming the living crap out of nightmare until you get decent enough gear. than push thru hell. can take a bit longer. but you get more loot/gear/upgrades. so it can feel more rewarding. enigma is indeed the first major runeword you need to make. infinity is great. but its just not as game changing as the enigma. have multiple accounts for a holy grail because you wont have enough space. unless you level up mules to a point they wear gear. but even then. thats not giving you that much more space. most important by far.. be patient. because this game is RNG. and you could be like me in season 8 here at almost 400 hours on the season farming and i still havent got my draculs grasp for my smiter. dont expect drops
Why would you need a 2nd account for a grail? Most grails are offline where you can make infinite chars. Also respecs dont matter on a grail so I would rather run something that can get through the game fast with respecs than slow like summoner. With TZ and having numerous chars the enigma vs infinity debate is a bit closer. I think what runes you drop is more the determiner than the classic ebugma first mentality.
brother you're missing out on d2r reimagined mod, trust me man, just dig into it a little in your off time. It's completely reinvigorated my love for d2 all over again. I am having a blast with skeletal mage summon necro.
Don't also forget to farm in Travincal and the Arcane Sanctuary. Also I hope one day someone will figure out how to make PlugY work in D2R because I really miss that nigh infinite stash space from the LOD days
Your LK numbers are pessimistic at best (assuming double campfire), it's only once in every 192.4 runs for a Pul+ and 455 for Gul+... I also think it's super super worth mentioning how armor stands / weapon racks are fixed in LK. For example, I rolled a Greater Talon map and got 2 different +3PS claws before I got both Guls to make the mosaics out of them.
@@debacofzomb9889 the campfire tile with the 3 chests can spawn up to 2 times, so you can regenerate your map over and over till you get well positioned double campfires
Every single time I try to make a powerful Sorc get my ass kicked on higher difficulties haha. But here´s a thing I always do to level up fast with a sorc: Nova, Through all normal difficultly acts. It clean areas like a vacuum cleaner and level up like a monster. And use some blizzard thing to kill Bosses quickly.
Does it make sense to manipulate TZ to be on LK for P7 LK farming? Does that allow the superchests to drop runes higher than Ber? Edit: LK is not a TZ possibility, forgot they didn’t put that past the TZ PTR. There are super chests in other TZs though… so do TZ change super chest drop tables?
LK runs hurt my soul. But isn't there a whole strategy to farm armor and weapon racks where in single player you can ensure they stay in the same spot, and so if you approach them the same way they will always drop the same item?
When you do this there's a chance you won't get some mid stuff before late game. I'm 3 months in on mine and I have a cta, greif, a deaths web, but I'm still trying just to get a shako
Can I play Diablo 2 on Switch without Wifi and monthly online subscription? I have seen you need to authenticate every month but do you need an online subscription to authenticate or can I just use normal WiFi?
i started holy grail casually 2 months ago and im 300 items in and i play javazon the moment i got my hands on enigma life became good, now i could carry my CTA and i had easier time doing boss runs. TP is op also enigma gives great mf and other good stats
Blizzard is "nerfed" on console unfortunately. you cant place it generally so it seems to miss if the target is moving you cant lead them properly. but on the other side you can cast tons of different spells incredibly fast without needing to map them to different keys since pc you have right and left click.
Ahh lower kurast, so amazing, so boring. Was able to optimize my runs down to about 35 secs from loading screen to loading screen and at that pace it only took about 60-70 hours to get my Enigma. That was some of the most boring grinding I've ever done but it was worth it because the rewards are truly amazing. It's also worth mentioning that LK is one of the best spots to get great charms and jewels.
@@MycketTuff You still get nice stuff like skillers, mf charms, life charms etc. so it's a legitimate way to farm for items. Of course I wouldn't do it for 60 hours, that's like 1,5 weeks at work for two stupid runes lol
@@MycketTuff So it's like I said, boring but the rewards are amazing, so it's basically positive reinforcement. And the dopamine surge is insane we you get the big drops! Then after a while you get into a flow where the imputs gets almost automatic and freeing up your brain to do other things, like thinking about how to further optimize your runs and optimizing stuff is one of my favorite things to do in games. Then once you're done there's a great deal of pride in having done something that is actually impressive. Everyone who has done the grind knows how much work goes into it. It's also worth mentioning that I did this over 3 months, most sessions was just 30-60mins
One thing i don't like about d2r there really isn't a true offline mode. say your internet goes down well you have offline characters you could play in theory? Sure, but you can't open d2r without internet so it's pointless lol
I did a sorc first but find it pretty difficult to aim blizzard on a console. I’m doing a Hammerdin now and wish I had the mobility of sorc but aiming the blizzard kind of turned me off
I’ve been stuck playing Diablo 2 on my ps5 and would love to get it on my laptop. Question is… why is it so difficult to get it on my laptop? Help please.
Remind me the time I put all stats on holy shot, the bosses died in a swift, the only problem would be those animal people in chapter 2 which holy magic deal no damage what So ever.
Its more of a suggestion and letting people know you don't have to beat the game to fully gear out a character. Also most of the fun you have with the game is farming and getting loot rather then completing the game.
Chaos Sanctuary and Ancients can be really difficult in hell, especially when you are dealing only one type of elemental damage. So depending on skill, knowledge and whatnot it can be easier/better to farm for better gear instead of forcing yourself through the last two acts. I guess it was rather ment to be a "you don't have to kill baal before farming" than a "you shouldn't..."
I never once finished a holy grail, Tyraels might just doesnt exist, how many unique sacred armors did i find? A few hundred. I actually even made my own infinity and even an enigma in my search for tyraels might. Meaning i found 3 bers and 1 jah rune, not exactly i did upgrade other runes as well but still. Just to maybe hammer home the point, 2 vex = 1 ohm, 2 ohm = 1 Lo, 2 Lo = 1 sur, 2 sur = 1 ber. So one ber is 2 sur, which is 4 Lo, which is 8 ohms which is 16 vex, which is 32 gul, which is 64 ist. which is 124 mal. Now after i made an infinity i made a lightning sorc which is a lot quicker then a cold sorc.
It's not. It's better for online when the player count is capped at 1 and the maps are random, but for a static map and p7 lk runs are a multiple better for runes and charms.
They should add a in game achievement list for holy grail kinda like poe achievement or challenge list where it can keep legit track Also wish they would add more to the game. D4 sucks and killed potential for d2
Oh, look at me i can actually "buy" me whole runewords because of the suckers who pay me for content that do not exist but i'm such good, good, boy look at my runewords
1:25 dumbest advice ever. Beginners get killed guaranteed playing a sorceress. 2:00 blizzard, second worst advice. 3:00 teleport, again, bad advice The best (safe) is poison vine druid. You don't need anything and enjoy the game on p7. (yes fire claws is better for experts but we're talking beginners here) holy fire paladin is a good second just don't get tempted into spending any point in anything else. Again - you don't need any gear, everything melts at p7. (but pal is confusing to beginners, so not recommended to start with) against bosses, dial down to p1 and you should be fine. Sorceress is possible after that, but you need runes and stuff, and even then, lightning spark thing only. And you'll probably die a lot. oh and use mules to hoard stuff. ring mule, amulet mule that sort of thing. a note on teleport - you do NOT want to skip monsters. You want the xp. and the loot. Especially since you have nothing in your stashes yet.
@@kemikal90 Man, I used to just walk into a shop and buy what I wanted off the shelf. I miss the days before you needed 10 different accounts to play games and watch movies. So no Steam or GOG or anything for D2R? Just the Blizzard website or nothing?
I would start by cheating, TBH. Get your character started with dual spirit, peasant crown, some mid-budget gear via hero editor. That way you skip the lame “ladder start” grind and just get to MF’ing
So you are going to skip the fun part of building yourself into good characters from scratch… and go directly to endless mindless mf runs soul draining part?!? I could not disagree with you more
@@CaseyHurlburt-y8ui agree on both sides of the argument. Personally i find the grind from nothing a lot more fun however, getting the simple stuff to start grinding the hard stuff. (even some people haven’t found everything)
@@CaseyHurlburt-y8u I agree with it. Spirit and peasant are the fun part because they become easily and it is fun to see yourself making progress. Instead I would cheat once progress gets slow. Like I see no point in running cows for a month to make enigma. I would just edit TreasureClassEx and double the drop chance of every rune starting from lem. In Diablo 2 rune drops are chained together so that Zod rune drop (treasure class) can either drop Zod itself or choose Cham drop. Cham crop can either drop Cham or choose Jah drop and so on. So basically game can roll you Zod drop initially and then can continue such chain till El. So if you half the chance to choose lower rune drop instead of dropping current rune those very high runes actually start to drop way more often than twice as often because of such drop chain. In hell difficulty you get well over 10 HR drop every cow run but because of treasure classes are chained like I described where at every stage rune can either choose to drop or roll 1 lower rune instead you usually end up getting useless low runes. And chance to go down in that chain is always way higher than chance to drop rune at current stage.

@@frohairicwell he simulated MILLIONS of runs. So to say every 1700 runs doesn’t mean you won’t go thousands without your ber. Good luck and keep going!!
Just found my 1st zod last nite. Worldstone lvl 3 P8 terror zone. :)
Good targets to keep are:
1-2 cold damage charm for the melee builds
Mana charms.
Low level set items - Hsarus, Deaths Guard belt/gloves, Arctic, set etc
Sigons for early melee builds is great.
I was thinking the same, he missed the TZ
Really useful, thx a lot!❤
This is the path I follow as well; thank you for a great summary!
You should make your own video lol
this is a great video, good job phil. Lots of ways to start, I think your way is solid.
farm NM TZ on p7 until clvl80-82
PHIL! For those of you who don't know Slivenius and Pavke conformed LK P5 is best and faster for Enigma and Infinity. Slivenius made a post with all the math on reddit.
I remember duping a lot gems/runes, so when got great base item I could do infinite re-roll for perfect runewords.
That's a nice way to completely destroy the fun in the game in a matter of minutes
I don't think anyone would ever skip that quest. It's literally the best quest in the game.
It's fun to compare the different builds even if I only play them until level 6 lol
best way to play
@@dixonnass2443 yes I think so too. at this rate I will never reach a point where I can farm for gear but for me Diablo 2 was always my favorite for trying out different builds. Diablo 3 was farming focus and it got boring. Diablo 4 was fun for the story but i got bored as soon as I beat the game because it was also endgame loot grinding focus same as diablo 3. diablo 2 somehow its so simple yet fun even if im clearing den of evil and defeating blood raven dozens of times.
@@ziljin brother the item farming is the soul of arpgs like d2r
@user-hf2zi8bk6r i never got any good gears from diablo 2 ever. So just dropping random uniques and set items was rewarding. In diablo 3 and 4 they throw so much legendary gear and you just scrap them all because they werent 1% stronger than your existing one. I like diablo 2 where the skills are so strong you dont even need good gear to do baal runs.
I played each character to hell act 1 then started mfing with blizzard sorc. I mule the character specific stuff on the corresponding character and the universally good stuff in shared tabs. I do a checklist and don't keep most stuff.
2:12 agreed. Whatever build keeps you coming back and playing is the best build for you.
The other thing with infinity is you want a really nice base to make it as well, which if u go enigma first you have more time to find a better base
I thought it was going to be about item organization...how do you keep track of your stuff using gomule or vault... how many stashes you create...etc
I love how you put your own face on the BARB. LOL
10:48 don't forget the Assassin has dragonflight. It's not the most effective version of teleport but it is the only other version of teleport.
One might consider the Barbarians Leap as well.
Did you put your face on the barbarian? 😆amazing
Act 2 canyon of the magi beetle packs are a good at to level up fast to get into those early runewords like spirit
On my pally grail I just went straight to LK and got insanely lucky in getting the runes for both Hoto and the runes to cube up to Enigma in under like...1000 runs.
I thin a hammerdin would be a better start. Amazing damage with very little gear and little problems regarding immune monsters
Yea then u can nab a sunder charm and have an easy go on a sorc
hammers from paladin can be good too, or necro. My favorite thing to do is start my character with lots of gold from d2 rune wizard.
What is the best and updated drop calculator?
necro is the best for absolute fresh starts. the summoner can clear the entire game without a respec. that is literally the only reason i do it. the summons cover all immunities, albeit sometimes it can be slow. it can be done.
otherwise, you can do the meta sorc. i would recommend just getting to hell and farming the living crap out of nightmare until you get decent enough gear. than push thru hell. can take a bit longer. but you get more loot/gear/upgrades. so it can feel more rewarding.
enigma is indeed the first major runeword you need to make. infinity is great. but its just not as game changing as the enigma.
have multiple accounts for a holy grail because you wont have enough space. unless you level up mules to a point they wear gear. but even then. thats not giving you that much more space.
most important by far.. be patient. because this game is RNG. and you could be like me in season 8 here at almost 400 hours on the season farming and i still havent got my draculs grasp for my smiter. dont expect drops
I recommend to level up in ancient tunnels then go beat the game before farming.
Thank you for that comment that made me feel like I am an OG.
brother you're missing out on d2r reimagined mod, trust me man, just dig into it a little in your off time. It's completely reinvigorated my love for d2 all over again. I am having a blast with skeletal mage summon necro.
a good update for this game shuold include a reward for a complete grail
Double campfire? 🤔
@@debacofzomb9889 the campfire tile with the 3 chests can spawn up to 2 times, so you can regenerate your map over and over till you get well positioned double campfires
@@debacofzomb9889In Lower Kurast the map has a chance to have either 1 or 2 campfires with the 2 huts each with super chests
LLK maps can spawn with one or two campfires. Each campfire has two buildings with super chests, which are popular farming locations.

5:03 And you thought we would miss the Phil-Barb
My Holy grail was to collect ALL the sets. Job is done now =) I use the sets on my Mules.

There's no audio book in the world that will make that robotic grind worthwhile. It's a game meant for entertainment, wtf are you guys even doing.
@@MycketTuff You still get nice stuff like skillers, mf charms, life charms etc. so it's a legitimate way to farm for items. Of course I wouldn't do it for 60 hours, that's like 1,5 weeks at work for two stupid runes lol

It's also worth mentioning that I did this over 3 months, most sessions was just 30-60mins

Max blizz sorc is so op to finish the game
After watching the video i still don't understand the reason why a player shouldn't kill baal until he has a full gear. Can someone explain ?
Speed mostly
Its more of a suggestion and letting people know you don't have to beat the game to fully gear out a character. Also most of the fun you have with the game is farming and getting loot rather then completing the game.
Chaos Sanctuary and Ancients can be really difficult in hell, especially when you are dealing only one type of elemental damage.
So depending on skill, knowledge and whatnot it can be easier/better to farm for better gear instead of forcing yourself through the last two acts.
I guess it was rather ment to be a "you don't have to kill baal before farming" than a "you shouldn't..."
Question, Why not beat the game?
why do i know so many people who have found zod in pits.
You going few hundred unique sacred armors???? Wow that's incredible. 😲😲😲😲🤣🤣🤣🤣 in going to assume this was a miss speak of some kind.

The best (safe) is poison vine druid. You don't need anything and enjoy the game on p7.
(yes fire claws is better for experts but we're talking beginners here)
holy fire paladin is a good second just don't get tempted into spending any point in anything else.
Again - you don't need any gear, everything melts at p7.
(but pal is confusing to beginners, so not recommended to start with)
against bosses, dial down to p1 and you should be fine.

😄 well i suppose that is an option.
Then you can just as well use hero editor to get infinity and enigma.
