I just started watching and Oof, agreed. While change of canon in adaptations can be good, or sometimes necessary due to the different media, but since most of the adaptations are either of popular specific stories or some sort of algamations of popular characters its Very Easy to become disilutioned.
I know I'm here a year late, just found your channel and am doing a binge but thank you for voicing for what ive been feeling basically my entire life at this point. I understand things change in adaption. Little me learned that very early on. But still. Everytime I remember that Bruce and Natasha were a thing in the mcu, I want to shrivel up and die, cradling my Clintnat and Buckynat heart. I'm someone who was introduced to shipping through x men comics and related media, I think my first ships ever were Scott/ Jean and Gambit/Rouge followed by Peter/Mj when I was introduced to Spider-man later on, the decision to pair bobby and rouge was baffling. To this day i still hate that bullshit scott, jean and logan love triangle and the stuff they did to Scott's character in general, making Logan seem so awesome in comparison to him. And yeah the cw stuff. The added incest thing added to the Barry and Iris relationship, whyyy??? Also i didn’t realise they made barry go out with Linda. I guess i blocked that out haha. The throwing away of the iconic Ollie/Dinah for their weird totally not Oracle oc. Also yeah, justice for Roy and Connor Hawke. I had no idea about not having kate and magie together that's dumb and even before you said her name my brain went "what about Renee?" Finally another person who doesn't like young justice. What that show did to my boy Connor is unforgivable lol. Where's his sunglasses and jacket and loveable 90s charm? Nowhere to be seen. Its a sin that the 90s young justice dynamic wasn't adapted. Only good thing like you said was the dickbabs content. I'm never getting off that train haha. Also you didn't bring it up but the Loki show? Perfect chance to introduce Anora the Enchantress into the mcu and have their fun flirting/friendly enemies dynamic but nooo lets pair him with a version of himself. Like excuse me? Also can't wait till they mess up Clea and Strange. How they treated Wanda has also been terrible too. I've just become super disillusioned with adapting comic stuff, romance and other stuff. I'm tired of arguing with people who only consume movies and tv shows about differences and watching characters I love get butchered. Sidenote the way they adapted moon knight was also shitty as well. Downplaying his trauma and jewish background so they can a wacky fun show without any of the deep stuff. I'm just going to sit in the corner with my favourites and read comic accurate fanfics. Great video, sorry for the long comment.
Re apologies to insulting brucenat fans... gonna be honest, I think the only people more annoyed than Clintnat (etc) shippers by them getting together in age of Ultron … were BruceNat shippers. I can't speak for everyone of course but the main shippers for it came out on a "Well this has potential!" base after the first Avengers movie. None of us expected for it to actually go canon and were just hopeful for some interaction in future movies. Then it went canon in the biggest monkey's paw situation ever… see also: Canon StevePeggy in endgame being hated by everyone, ESPECIALLY StevePeggy shippers.
We can also Count TONYxPEPPER, Since that's a thing that came out from the Adaptations(The Live Action Movies, The Animated Movies, The Video-Games & Armored Adventures) In the comics Tony has never really take seriously a relationship, & The only character he has GENUINALLY shown romantic interest is Emma Frost
