Solid review. I love this knife. I ordered it, when it arrived, I immediately ordered a second one. I attached a Blade Tech tek lok to the kydex sheath and it fits so perfect; it's the same width as the sheath itself and fits slim against the waist on a gun belt remaining low profile. Great blade, great micarta, great sheath.
Liking the fixed blade reviews. I'm going to start a small collection of fixed blade knives. Like you said they have their advantages over folders, and vice-versa. Great video!
This is a nice knife.. I’m nov sure if it’s in the wharnclif category though as the blade has a curve in it… typically wharnclifs are completely straight edge
In my experience, not all Wharncliff blades are perfectly straight on the edges. Some have slight bellies. blog.knife-depot.com/history-of-the-wharncliffe-blade/
BTW: Most classical accounts, including Pausanias (10.28) and later Dante's Inferno (3.78), portray the Acheron as the entrance to the Underworld and depict Charon ferrying the souls of the dead across it. Ancient Greek literary sources such as Pindar, Aeschylus, Euripides, Plato, and Callimachus also place Charon on the Acheron. Roman poets, including Propertius, Ovid, and Statius, name the river as the Styx, perhaps following the geography of Virgil's underworld in the Aeneid, where Charon is associated with both rivers. looks like canvas to me, but who really cares? its micarta which is sweet, no matter which material is used. This knife is still available, although Im not sure that its still in production, but it has always been an object of desire in my blade day dreams. Bastinelli has some really beautiful designs, but they are some of the priciest as far as Italian made production brands go, and that always killed me, as they frequently use BohlerN690...for the price, they should really be using a super steel, and not trying to save costs on materials. They have a bunch more I would like to own, but most likely never will, because I can skip one and get 3 instead. T.O.S. I know I always say it but I love the fixed blade focus theme on your channel. You pick some awesome stuff, and do a great job of rundown and review. Keep up the good work Sir!
Thanks, yes, most likely canvas micarta, and agreed, what we're getting with Bastinelli is design. At the price point materials should be higher. This definitely increases the profit margin... 😎👍🗡️
Same price (pre-10% discount, no tax and free USPS shipipng,) on White Mountain. They call it the "Harpoon" (Designed by Maverick Customs/produced by Kizer). You will need to be notified when it is back in stock. Knife has been positively reviewed.
LA SANCTION - AKERON: 1. Discreet neck knife from a collaboration between Bastinelli and Akeron 2. Akeron Products - Knifeworks: Armes Bastille is an armory - cutlery specialized since 1953. 3. The 'Usage' of "Sanction" in the dictionary: "... is confusing because it has two meanings that are almost opposite. In most domestic contexts, sanction means ‘approval, permission’: In foreign affairs, sanction means ‘penalty, deterrent'." Still need Master Bastinelli's intent and meaning assigned to "La Sanction" rather than a dictionary definition. Did not pursue "Akeron" or "Viper", or why an Italian would use a French name for his collaboration with Akeron.

Let's see, no finger choil, no deep carry clip, no push off scabbard. OK just kidding around, sometimes I'm just feeling comical. Never saw anything like this around. Keep showing the unusual.
Good looking little knife. I like the wharncliff blade and the way they did the jimping. Great review 👍

Love it! The blade and micarta both look fantastic!

Thanks! Glad you like 'em! 🗡️👍😁
Very cool knive. 😎👍
Thanks for reviewing this, im gonna pick one up this week
Great choice! Enjoy! 🗡️👍🔥
I think the limitations of fixed blades breeds ingenious design. I feel silly carrying a fixed blade on my belt but I should just get over myself.
For these small fixed blades the front pocket is a very viable option as well as the belt. 👍🗡️👊

That is 1 killer lookin fixed blade. Id have to put a lanyard on for a little extra room.

My favorite fixed blade is made by Ron Steele Designs. The Small Round. A lanyard is a must, but absolutely love his work. On IG he is under @sadevil

Bastien Coves is French, Bastinelli is the name for his non-custom work made by Fox and Lion Steel in Italy I believe.
