The action follows the story of Noble Team, a squad of heroic Spartan soldiers and their final stand on planet Reach, humanity's last line of defense between the terrifying Covenant and Earth. The most ambitious "Halo" game yet, "Halo: Reach" launches worldwide on Sept. 14 and in Japan on Sept. 15, and promises to be the biggest game of 2010.

Yeah. You can see the plasma damage on kats arm. This is where she lost it. The noble six you see pick up the bomb is the original noble six, not spartan b312.
Yup, this isn't actually planet reach, Kat still had her arm and in the game is where the covenant are discovered on reach, kind of misleading.

I love how at 1:52 he runs away like he's trying to escape even if he knows he's gonna die... Still he has this hope that makes him human... so realistic. Remember watching this trailer when I was a teenager, time flies. Remember Reach.

The way Noble 6 stands there for a second and looks at Kat on the ground says so many different things without words being spoken. It’s an acknowledgment for his fallen comrade, it’s him realizing and preparing for what he knows he has to do, and it’s a goodbye. They don’t make cinematic trailers like they used to.

This commercial brought me in the halo. Even now it takes me back to having the old 360 in my room.
It really is amazing how evocative little details can be, the pause before picking up the bomb, the pause before throwing it away, the zoom out from the explosion that shows its a planet wide invasion.
You don't need to know anything about HALO to get it.

I’ve always loved this trailer and to find out 11 years later that this WAS cannon. That this is how Kat looses her arm and how the original Noble 6 died is incredible! I miss trailers like this one, ODST, and Believe. To see passion, dedication, storytelling and detail go into these ads says a lot especially if they still are remembered and watched over a decade later.......truly a masterpiece and a work of art ❤️

The perfection of everything surrounding 2010 to 2022 was perfect, the hate of armour abilities, the acceptance and, the final moments of the community I was a part of. I will always remember Reach

Lore Fact:
Out of the 39 billion humans that were estimated to be in the early 2500's, 23 billion humans lost their lives during the covenant war. I know that this is just a game but after playing the original trilogy including ODST and reach and finding out those facts it just hits you in a different way. The lore is just so deep and amazing and it saddens me to see how different the games are now and let's just forget about the paramount series....

Travis Wolf that’s the point of reach. Every victory they had meant nothing. They were fight a battle that was lost. Every death held weight but did nothing to impact a war. That’s why it’s such a good campaign.

Irreplaceable? The Covenant doesn't even care if it loses a fleet of 300+ ships(talking about the Invasion fleet in First Strike).
And 300 ships are far more material wise than one CSO+ it's 3 to 8 Corvettes.
The only thing making the CSO worth more than a 300+ ship fleet would be the Forerunner stuff that's build inside of it,(the O in CSO means it's enhanced with Forerunner tech kinda like the ORS or how ever it was called is enhanced with a Forerunner weapons core).
But the Covenant still possesses an entire arm of the milky way galaxy, that are more than enough colonies with recourses to replace one or maybe even multiple CSO's.

I saw this in theaters when it first released before the movie trailers started, and I recall the packed theater getting so engaged and quite within seconds it began. By the time it ended my wife looked over and gave me a very concerned “are you ok?” -as I head tears rolling down my face. Excellent execution to a live action Halo experience.

This gaming trailer is one of the most powerful of all time. But it holds a special power to me because my son was diagnosed with Leukemia and we played Halo Reach Co-op to distract us from the horror of the children’s Oncology Floor. The saddest part is we didn’t know how the game ended so we tried to “beat” that last level together and fought so hard at times and eventually looked up that death was inevitable. Not matter what type of coordination and teamwork we would eventually die. I then told him we passed the game the previous level and it was just bonus context but then that night I just cried in my car. Like the efforts and non stop fighting we would do would not matter in the end. This is why I cry every time I see this trailer. Because I am reminded of his years and years of bravery.

Damn, watching this made me shed a tear because a flood of memories came back to me, when you played with your clan mates and just go around acting like a bunch of fools, dying of laughter, having a really really good time. Making friends, becoming almost brother and sisters through this masterpiece of a game. Extremely good game.
True... So many powerful cinematics in gaming revolving around brave last stands and the loss of honorable badasses. Especially the ones about the death of a noble (hah, pun) last stand. This one for Reach, Artanis overloading Xel'naga temple (SCII: LOTV), Dying Light end-scene, Thrall & Grom vs Mannaroth (WCIII), and the list goes on. They strip me of my man card each time. I either want to hit the gym or cry like a little bitch.

My friends had brought up this game in a recent conversation and how they thought it was the worst Halo because it was so over-dramatic. I said "HOLD ON, BACK THE FUCK UP." and talked some sense in them. Turns out none have them have ever beaten the campaign, even on Easy. Time to get new friends.

I would do anything to just go back to these simpler days just siting and playing halo reach with your buddies. Remembering all the times you guys laughed, played infected, played with feelings, and played with passion.
I know the feeling life was a lot more simple back then but we all grow up at some point and friends start families move away, but I would do anything to get my all my old friends together and play videos games even if it was just for the weekend.

It shows the sacrifice these Spartans commonly made in the books. Also the story of this trailer, which doesn't have any dialog, is better told, and thought out then the 50 minute disappointment we got. They're just trying to make the chief a rebel which is completely antithetical to his actual personality.

As Noble 6 grabs the bomb, he then proceeds to use his jetpack. Noble 6 then remembered... jetpacks only bring you up a couple yards. The bomb killed everyone on the ground. The end.

I have never EVER felt so overwhelmed emotionally from playing a game. I still remember Jorge saying "Contacts? It's the Damn Covenant" on the First level and i get Goosebumps. I was heartbroken from every Noble death and i doubt i'll ever feel so thirsty for Covenant blood ever again,no matter how many trilogies there will be.

@@Spartan-oq1yw I was in 8th grade when this game came out, I've played it all the way up till I was a senior in HS, then I stopped after that. Every now and then I'd jump on to relive some memories, but, it's just not the same anymore.

This is what halo fans want in a tv show or game. Bravery, sacrifice, and characters to truly root for and miss when they’re gone. The amount of lost potential is saddening at times. Remember Reach.

They can make live kick ass trailers like this but have yet to make legit movies or TV series.
Wait, have you kept up with the news? First off: Halo 4 released with Forward unto dawn Live Action web series that was amazing. Secondly, Halo 5 will release with a legit Halo TV show directed by Steven Spielberg.
I know Forward unto dawn was like a mini movie sort of, I have it and yes it was fucking awesome. I mean like a legit space battle massive insane movie like star wars episode three. But as for the Halo 5 Tv show, I heard rumors of this.

About the movie; no. It was already announced (many times) that they'd already tried and the budget would've been HUMUNGOUS, so sadly they can't really make a movie they would want that would be loyal without an extreme amount of money. Although there are miniseries and books and podcasts (the podcast is also a miniseries).
I always cry after playing this game. So perfect.
I'm sure when I'm at the end.of my life, I will still remember Reach :')

I was not a nerd, nerds and gamers are very different, you're not a douchebag, are you? I have a job, I have my house, my wife and my motorcycle. I'm still playing some games, but not all the time, but I will never forget the time I've spent playing Reach, definitely, one of the most touching stories of all games I've seen.

Looking back at Halo Reach, all I can say is that it’s such an incredible game.
I played this since I was only 6 or 7 with my brother, not even understanding how emotional the story, death and basically everything was. Now that I’m older I can finally see how good it was to play especially reaching the ending.
If they ever make a Halo: Reach : Anivirsery Edition they should add this as a prequel level and you play as Thom 293.
Thom 203 is the spartan in this video the delivers the nuke, sacrificing himself in the process.

This game... This trailer... Just brings back some many great memories as a child... I can remember watching this trailer almost everyday, just getting excited to get the game for Christmas... I played this game so dam much... I love halo 3 but honestly halo reach is my favourite halo game by far... They tried new things with game and I liked it. Not going to lie, I wish I could relive some of these great memories again

One if the things that defines the original Halos, were their cinematic trailers. The art, the visual story telling. No other video game trailer does that.

Meanwhile, Thom and Kat have a 5 second exchange with plenty of feeling and emotion. They left it to the viewer to read between the lines and it isn’t difficult to figure out just how they feel. When Kat stairs at Thom she feels helpless to do her job, when Thom stairs back at her he’s upset to see her torn apart the way she is, when she looks back at the bomb she is acknowledging the priority of the mission, when Thom picks up the bomb immediately you see that he’s able to understand her without a single word because they know each other so well, when he flys away and Kat stairs at him she feels sad knowing that her failure will result in his death.
Then when Thom is on the ship you see his arm go limp with the nuke in his hand. You can feel how he is essentially letting go of all the tension in his body. His fight is over, the mission is complete, he has done his duty to humanity. He is effectively letting go of the burden that he has carried all his life as a Spartan.
13 years. I miss you Bungie. WE miss you. Please come back :(
