One of the best trailer I've ever seen in my life and I have lost count on how many times I rewatched it.
Fucking same, it gives me chills every time I watch it.
Same, and that was before i even played the game! go figure!
I love that watching it before playing it it gives you so many questions and watching it after the content it has all the answers.
Honestly, I never thought in all my years as a gamer that a game could ever have a better trailer than the Wrath of the Lich King one. But the Shadowbringer trailer is so good for so many more reasons. It has so many " Oh shit " moments when you come to it in your story. And it's SO WELL DONE.
Best trailer in my mind since then.

The dancer shot was both the official reveal of dancer as a job and viera. Neither were in the game or completely confirmed until this trailer first dropped. Thancred as Gunbreaker was also the reveal of said job in the original teaser version of the trailer.
Cinematic masterclass. An absolute masterpiece. I don't even know how many times I've rewatched this trailer, but it still gives me goosebumps every time.
This trailer caused me to buy this game. It’s literally responsible for me giving hundreds of dollars to Square Enix with zero regrets.
I'm not sure about the hundreds of dollars, but no regrets all the same!
I first watched the Endwalker trailer on Asmongold's stream. He was shitting on it a little bit back then (even the music!) but I was slightly more disengaged from WoW than he was at the time.
I immediately cancelled my WoW sub, watched the Shadowbringers trailer (none of the other ones tho) and leapt into the game within a week. Took 5 months/425hrs to get to the end of the whole MSQ but I've never been more enthralled in a game's story. Truly a masterpiece.
found out earlier today thru Lulu's streamer highlights that you were already in ShB! You move fast and I'm wayyyy behind on vids/streams, but super hyped to see your reactions to this expansion :D

It's true that DRK is not that strong in game since it's role is to be a tank, but in lore the WoL is just broken and all his jobs are as powerful so it's nice to see that big ass fuckoff sword splitting the heavens apart
Maybe we can excuse it with the whole dark vs light elemental advantage angle. Sadly, FFXIV doesn't do a whole lot with the elemental strengths/weaknesses thing.

Gotta say best trailer fpr a game ever, and I stll get jazzed after seeing it a dozen times.
It's always so much more fun watching these with people seeing these trailers for the first time. :)

The job changes in the trailer are a call back to older trailers:
1.0 - Archer
2.0 - Warrior
3.0 - Dragoon
4.0 - Monk/Samurai
And in the order shown

A Dark Knight may not be "that" powerful but considering that he's fight a creature of Light, it stands to reason that something "dark" has a little more impact. At least thats my head canon concerning this.

when light becomes oppressive and overpowering, and all that we've fought for thus far at risk, in order to persevere it seems its time to become that which we've fought all along.. the warrior of darkness, only then can we hope to overcome.
It's one of those trailers that you NEED to watch it more than once
agreed, watch it again after you've gotten the context of the story, and so many things make sense.

Shadowbringer story pretty much spoiled me for the rest of the MMORPG genre. Heck, I can't even play games from the same franchise without feeling cringe after experiencing a masterpiece.
