I am blown away by the response to this video! Final Fantasy certainly has a strong enthusiastic community and you love to see it! What Final Fantasy content should I react to next?? 👀
Good news, new cinematic trailer should be showing up shortly. This week is the FF14 Fan Fest, where they'll likely tease out the next expansion. Not sure if it'll be a full trailer or a teaser, but you might enjoy it. :)
They are really old and haven’t aged well… but you could do the trailers for 1-13. Yes it’s a lot but the early trailers don’t really do much. They don’t tell a story like the later ones do, but you get to see the foundations for which the newest stuff was built on.
ff14 is an MMO unlike others in that above all, the story is the most important part of it, everything services it. All content goes through the story somehow. Raids have stories, dungeons are typically encountered during the story, even side stuff has a story. the reason all the fans love watching reactions is just because these trailers all hold incredible significance for us after having gone through it. Many cannot watch them without tearing up. That said, starting 14 is a very long process, since its story is above all other parts of the game, you are tasked with playing that story from its start to where it currently is including every patch release, which is a very long process. Long but depending on your love of fantasy worlds and their stories, very rewarding. Someone once called it more of an rpgmmo than an mmorpg, and I have to agree. If you are a fan of mmos and also a fan of extremely well planned out, written, and executed stories, you should consider trying it. and the entire fanbase will show up to watch you play it, so we can relive it through you. It's definitely a lot for some no doubt, but one of the very greatest stories I have ever had the privilege of experiencing, let alone being part of, as your character is always front and center as the Warrior of Light. I played WoW for over 10 years and eventually quit because the story was just thrown together just to get an expansion out it felt like, that never happens here. Either way, you got a sub from me, if you are a fan of music, you could consider reacting to some of the boss music from 14, as it is very very well done and the fanbase also loves seeing those kinds of reactions as well.
Maybe you'd be interested in FF16. The deluxe and collector's edition of the game comes with the map of the world Valisthea since you're interested in maps. The story's really good too.
A small detail: the same dude you saw in every trailer was a stand in for the player character. In FFXIV you can customize your character but he's meant to be a representation of you as you play through the game. That's why he changes to so many different classes.
Another detail, the community called the stand-in Derplander for the longest time, he has since been renamed due to his massive glow-up and is now known as Meteor.
@@imaran1303 to clarify on your point: he was always called a Meteor in Japanese community. Derplander is a more common nickname in global community, but people picked up Meteor from Japanese players as well as time progressed.
@@sakinoru4557this is not true, meteor is from the in-game name (meteor survivor) given to him in a video, japanese players have always called him Hiroshi, derived from hikari no senshi (warrior of light, or more literally hero of light)
The cat chick you thought was evil is certainly not evil. She was chastising the white haired elf guy for wanting to do nothing. She said that she and her companions would fight until the bitter end. She’s one of the best characters in the series and is one of the good guys.
Considering the fact that she's, like, one of only three, mabye four characters left in the world that our Warrior of Light is afraid of, the idea of her being secretly evil is terrifying.
"The music goes so hard" That's just Soken. He goes hard and never goes home. Like, every expansion is filled with intense hits and moody themes. He never misses. He simply can not keep getting away with it.
His music for Sephirot in the Warring Triad is straight fire and I know it sounds like a ripoff of When Worlds Collide but I know that’s not intentional and honestly ‘Fiend’ is the better track.
Dude was working full time on the shadowbringers soundtrack WHILE IN THE HOSPITAL WITH CANCER. And he forced his boss to keep quiet about it in order to use his work to keep himself positive. Absolute legend.
Fun fact: The Leveplate (card thing) in the first trailer, depicts Saint Elaine, one of the saints of the twelve in the lore of FFXIV. She was named a saint because she saved her town from getting caught in a tornado by feigning having gone mad to get people to evacuate the town.
Also, for a size reference for the dragon, Bahamut, in the second trailer: Someone did the math, and his wing span is 8 miles across. It's a GIGANTIC dragon, that has been locked in that moon for some 4000 years. At this point, it's VERY angry.
Fun fact, the first trailer was from the original release of the game. Due to problems with the game, the servers were shut down. The events of the second trailer were an in game event in the months leading up to the shut down. Mobs got harder, and the red moon got closer and closer. When the servers shut down, this trailer was released. Leading into the revamping of the game, which released as "A realm Reborn." which takes place five years after the events of the second trailer. So after trailer three, you get into the expansion of the base game. Each expansion trailer features the newly added "classes' or jobs added to the game at the time. The game is a very story driven MMO, Where most MMO's give you leveling experiences to get to end game. This one, gives you a story to keep you engaged with the game on your way to the end game.
For reference the original ARR trailer transitioned directly from the wizard teleporting the warriors away and getting engulfed into A New Beginning. The battle with the dragon scene was revealed later, after a raid fight. Before that, it was a mystery how the dragon disappeared.
"Louisoix Leveilleur" was the name of the old man elf who sacrificed himself to amazingly beat that dragon who was also known as pretty much "The king of dragons" and still save everyone! hes a legend in the game. :3
14:50 This was the cinematic that marked the end of final fantasy 14 online. Everyone that was online, saw this right before the servers were shut down. (you may look for the last moments of final fantasy 14) and the it is used as the opening cinematic for Final Fantasy 14: a real reborn. The following part is omitted revealed to the players when they complete a dungeon series "coils of Bahamut" we all learn that he sacrificed himself to defeat Bahamut (the dragon) What the old man did was to not just move them to a safe place, he moves them into the future. 17:55 Here is where the ff14: arr cinematic continues.
Technically he didn't send them into the future, he sent them into the rift for 5 years. For them it was an instant. If you were a 1.0 player, your ARR intro was slightly different too and got extra cutscenes at the end of the ARR storyline.
26:60 That armor being intense is pretty much canon, yes... the people there wearing that style of armor, armed with spears, are called Dragoons. They are basically elite soldiers, trained in mid-air combat using aether(mana, if you will)-augmented jumps and dive attacks, specializing in fighting dragons. The reason their armor is so, pardon the pun, edgy, with lots of spikes and blades attached to it, is because they are so commited to killing dragons, if a dragon eventually swallows them during combat, they at least want to make it hurt the dragon just as much by ripping them up from the inside.
@@amuro9624 Lots of touches like this to some armor sets. Like, all the Scholar-Job-Sets, one of the healing classes in FFXIV, for example... they mostly come with things you'd expect due to the name, like mortarboards for hats or glasses/monocles to fit the whole scholarly-them, but the sets are also quite militaristic in design, partially resembling uniforms or coming with badges attached to them, because the original individuals known as Scholars in the history of the FFXIV-Universe were actually military tacticians using mathematical expertise to devise strategies and command military units (the Nymian Marines), while weaving spells to support and maximize the effectiveness of the troops under their command.
For someone who knows nothing of the game, you're not as far off the mark as you think. It shows how good the visual storytelling is in these trailers.
That was really fun, I liked your commentary. FFXIV is my favourite game so I love these reacts. That you without any context whatsoever said Y'shtola is on Zenos' team is so funny to anyone who has played the story. But you did a lot of really great calls, props for that. Thanks for this!
EVERY SINGLE TIME I see the Scions praying to help against Bahamut, I tear up, probably because I'm aware what happens to some of them and I got attached to all of them.
I know this is a year old video and you may not see this, but I just stumbled here and am absolutely blown away by your media literacy here! Despite not being familiar with the game yourself, your comments absolutely nailed almost all the underlying meanings of scenes and comments in the trailers that even I as a fan missed! This was wildly entertaining to watch! Keep up the fantastic work, and I can't wait to spend some time exploring more content on your channel
I've always loved the double meanings of some of the FFXIV expansions. For instance, Heavensward can mean toward the Heavens, as you pointed out, but it can also mean Ward of the Heavens, as in a warden who fights in the name of the gods.
In this case, the double meaning actually comes from the 3rd possible meaning of ward: an administrative division of a local government. Thordan’s small Fanclub is called the Heavens’ Ward multiple times in game.
@@FirelighttheKing Fourth possible meaning: Wards keep things out. Heaven being metaphorical here, representing peace with the dragons, Thordan and his Heaven's Ward keep the people of Ishgard from reaching heaven.
My favorite is finding out that "Stormblood" is a part of "The Measure of His Reach" the Gyr Albanian national anthem: "Though storms of blood approach ye, Hells open, Heavens weep, No goodly soul need ever fear The measure of His Reach." And that Rhalgar is literally holding both Lyse and the WoL in his reach in the cinematic is top shelf foreshadowing.
It could also mean Heaven's Ward as in someone under the protection of the heavens in the same way that someone taken in by a family would be considered their ward.
in case you missed the MC in the trailers changed jobs (class) every trailer. Bard > Warrior > Dragoon > Monk & Samurai > Dark Knight > Paladin That's why in the Shadowbringers trailer you can note he's changing weapons against the angelic thing
@@zannibalable Jobs were only added to 1.x after Naoki Yoshida took over the project. At the time the trailer was made, only the basic classes existed in the game.
@@Toksyuryel what are you talking about again, i've been playing 1.0 and i've been playing both a pal and a bard 🤣 Yoshida only added some new jobs in 2.0 like smn and sch, but there were already bard or monk, or warrior back in 1.0 and you can find many videos showing them up.
@@zannibalable At launch 1.0 did not have jobs, only classes. Jobs were added later after Naoki Yoshida took over the project. Patch 1.21 specifically.
July 28-29 is the FFXIV fanfest. there will very likely be a small trailer of the next expansion being released sometime next year. This fanfest is in las vegas and is being live streamed.
Man, as a considerable nerd of magic systems and lore, FFXIV really scratches that itch for me. It has an established system of history for supernatural phenomena, a rich universe that affects the very world/s of your character, as well as supplementary reading and resources that are mostly in-game. The game includes it in the main quest how magic works, how elements interact with one another, how aether and mana has shaped the history and culture of the entire world. I've finished Endwalker and I daresay I've only scratched the surface of the iceberg when it comes to the lore >
if you play the game dont skip any cutscenes and read the dialogue, the plot is consistent from level 1 to 90 and missing a part of it will affect your experience, this is the best story a game has been able to tell in so long, the ffxiv community is addicted to watch new people experience and react to the game because it is that good and we love to watch others drop their jaw, cry, and laugh during the entire thing
Those cards that he was picking from at the start are used for something in the game called 'levequests', basically little quests you can take for experience. That particularly card is the 'Resolve' card; In-game, you have to weaken and pacify a monster for it.
The second trailer: The big, giant ball of fire is a fake moon called Dalamud. The ancient race of Allag killed Bahamut. His mate, Tiamat, was consumed by so much sorrow, she summoned Bahamut as a primal. Because of the circumstances and volatile emotions of the summoning, Bahamut returned as a shadow of pure hate and rage, so the Allagans managed to trap him inside of Dalamud and there he stayed, where his rage and hate festered until Garlemald let him out. This is the Battle of Cartineau. The old grandpa is Louisoix. He summoned the twelve gods of Eorzea in an attempt to re-trap Bahamut's primal, only Bahamut smashed it. Louisoix then received a vision from the gods and he became the primal known as the Phoenix. His primal was strong enough to destroy Bahamut, but at great cost. Louisoix took all the memories from those in Eorzea with the hope nobody would remember the Phoenix and summon him.
Also, the magic he jused is not fully his own it's the ambient magic gathered whit his staff AND more importantly the magic born from prayers and hope, from those who wher praying to the gods. If they had not been praying and lhiting up those beecons he woud not have been able to even atemt the first spel to seal the dragon
Soken is the greatest gift to video game OST's. If you enjoy the trailer songs, you'll love pretty much every single song in the game cause the man is incredible. One of the songs in the game he wrote/composed while undergoing treatment for his cancer.
@@vfvs11a Even more cringe/creepy that you're offended on his behalf for people showcasing/emphasizing his passion/care for the work he does. Feel however you wish to feel about people saying it/bringing it up. But it's weird to gatekeep such an odd thing that people mention out of praise/emphasis for a talented man who continued his craft under immense pressure/pain due to his passion/care for the fans. Also Soken himself literally brought it up at a Fanfest, if you find anything cringe, you must find him cringe for doing so. He specified what patch and song it was too so..
@@Mark-ey8qg You can try to dress it up all you like, but you weirdos get positively giddy when someone says they like the music and you literally race each other to post about his health. You're nuts so attached to the game that you're literally using him and his health issues as a way to create your own martyr to the game. I'm not the first to point out how creepy and psychotic it is. But the last people to see the weirdness in the FFXIV community are the weirdos whose lives revolve around it. I'm sure you all, if you could find an excuse would haul out the corpses of the voice actors who have died since the game released.
Amazing timing on reacting to these trailers! We are due to get a brand new (partial) trailer at the FanFest event in a few days to tee up the next expansion.
One thing to know going into Final Fantasy as a franchise is that music is a big part of it. While everyone will have their favorite and least favorite games, the community as a whole will generally agree that there isn't a bad soundtrack to any of the main series.
The first elf guy you see (Nyelbert) is not the same one as in the Shadowbringer and Endwalker trailers (Urianger). You also see a different catgirl in the first two (Renda-Rae) vs the last two (Y'shtola), though they both appear in the "New Beginning" trailer (Y'shtola is the one at the docks with the flower). It's always the same human guy throughout the trailers; he's the stand-in for the player character, though there's also an in-game version of him that you eventually meet. Actually, every important-looking character in those trailers shows up in the game at some point. Also, races: Elf -> Elezen Human -> Hyur Kitty -> Miqo'te Orc -> Roegadyn (He called them that, not me. :P ) Halfling -> Potato... I mean, Lalafell Bun -> Viera Not really shown: Lizard -> Au Ra (Yes, I know Yugiri is in the Stormblood cinematic. :P) BIG cat -> Hrothgar
Gotta admit, those race descriptions are pretty spot on. XD While it's never been confirmed or denied, I kinda doubt that the adventurers from Legacy/ARR trailers are supposed to be the same people as the characters you mentioned. Those characters are definitely based on them, but some story details in Shadowbringers seem to contradict them being the same people. At least the player stand-in doesn't seem to be exactly the same guy, based on what happened to his in-game counterpart (not to mention that we can see them interact in some trailers with in-game footage). That being said it wouldn't surprise me if the characters you mentioned are supposed to be "reflections" of those adventurers. Would be an interesting idea at the very least.
@@JB-ci8fc I think Ardbert's party is certainly intended as a version of Derplander's party, at least going by stuff you pick up from the ShB role quests. And giving them names makes it easier to differentiate the jerk elf in the trailer from Urianger or Estinien.
The "Paladin/Druid" in the New Era trailer is Odin, the Dark Divinity. He's a godlike monster prowling the forest that you have to fight. And the giant beast in the mountains was Behemoth, one of the most iconic monsters of the Final Fantasy series.
The "primal" is actually the sword which ensnares whoever picks up Zantetsuken. It is why whoever defeats Odin during the FATE, will appear as the next bearer the next time the FATE respawns.
The next teaser trailer just recently came out! We will have the full version come october. Id wait until then to make a reaction to that one. The full version will be shown at the EU Fanfest. A lot of your guesses were spot on. Though the elf man from the very first trailer is NOT the oracle one in future trailers. The one in the first trailer is the full body garbed black mage from the early on party with the small healer. I think the last we see him in trailers in the A Realm Reborn one. Also the white hair'd cat women (Miqo'te race) is def not evil. ALSO also, the white haired Elezen oracle is in his mid to late 30s (the characters you see repeated throughout these all have canonical ages.)
Regarding age, it's actually hard to pin down simple ages, because most of them were only given official ages as of the start of ARR, and they're not the ages you'd guess: Urianger (the tall, white-haired elezen in black robes who features in the Shadowbringers and Endwalker trailers) was officially 29 as of the start of ARR. Time passage from then to the present time is unclear (intentionally, the devs want to keep it ambiguous), but definitely not late 30s. The events of all the expansions may have occurred within a year or two in-universe. Thancred, the white-haired hume with the revolver-sword, is actually older than him by 3 years, being 32 at the start of ARR. The oldest member of the main Scions group is actually the lalafell (halfling), Papalymo, who was 42 at the start of ARR. As of the start of ARR, it's stated that Y'shtola (the white-haired catgirl) claims to be 23... but you meet her younger sister who is 26, and certain statements about past events suggest she's closer to Thancred's age. Everyone's just too afraid to bring it up with her.
@@swaswj414 Time doesn't pass at all in game unless it is specifically stated to have passed. It's running on cartoon logic where you just don't think about or question it. So all of the characters are still the same age as when we met them, meaning the twins are forever 16 unless a time skip occurs. As for Y'shtola, it's not so much that she lies about her age, but that she stopped aging at 23 (the Realm Reborn Ultimania guide makes mention of that once she started her training with Matoya as a child that "The hands of time forever stopped on twenty and three" when she emerged). So physically she is 23. Biologically there's no telling.
The time line in the first three trailers is: beginning, pre Garlean war. WoL (your character) has something called the echo and can get visions - he had one from the guild card, which is the first trailer (you can no longer play this game). Second trailer is the end of the original game. Full out Garlean War, and the fall of the Second Moon Dalamud (prison to Bahamut). Many died. They also remade the game from scratch, hence calling the next expansion A Realm Reborn. Third trailer is several years after the 2nd, showing how the world has changed and how your character was teleported by Louisoix (bad ass mentor wizard) to the future. All of the trailers follow the same character, Meteor Survivor, who represents your character. It's very cool to watch him mature and age in each one.
We will actually be getting a new trailer here soon. On Jul. 28th I believe. It's only going to be a snipit of the full trailer. It's just there to tease us for the expansion coming out. They will release 2 more parts of the trailer later. So for now part 1 of 3 comes out on the 28th.
Simple timeline, trying to keep things as generic as possible to avoid spoilers: Starts in a time of prosperity, but also war. Then big dragon comes out of the second moon, nearly wipes out all life on the continent. Important people including players 'teleported' to safety by wizard guy. Reason this isn't spoilers is because the game starts past this point now, the old version was nuked from orbit, rather literally. Five years later, folks have managed to rebuild their society for the most part, but things are still tough. Players show back up, they were actually transported through time. Keep watching brown haired guy, that's you. You do some stuff, are hailed as a hero, but as spoiler free as possible, ended up being ostracized, so you go to the Snow Kingdom and help the Snow Pope deal with the dragons. Then you travel the world, helping free different peoples from the bad guys with the mechs. And I can't even begin to explain the rest without spoilers, everything goes up to 12 real quick.
I'd always recommend the game it can be a real slow burn at times but it's honestly a fantastic story to experience, and you're right about the worldbuilding and lore it's just filled to the brim with it to the point there's a backstory to how they got the measurement for an ilm (inch in their terms) and even about how one culture uses salt in their foods. There's so much detail and love put into it it's fascinating.
The first half of the second trailer takes place 5 years prior to the events of A Realm Reborn (the game it is a trailer for, and also a scene that players of 1.0 got to watch the moment the servers shut down, IIRC) and the second half, starting with the moment the wizard has his "zen moment" is a cutscene that occurs right before the final boss fight of the content cycle, wherein the truth of what happened on that field is revealed to the heroes. The part in the third trailer where the warriors appear in the forest is where they arrived after being transported off the field by the wizard in trialer 2. 5 years after the events of that day.
You had a lot of great guesses! and you kind of hit the nail on the head. One of the greatest things about the game is that the lore, the characters, and the story lines are used and re-used to great effect. so you feel like it's one long story arc, which is very rewarding. think "game of thrones" rather than a monster of the week kind of storytelling. There's a ravenous fan-base of FF14 playthrough watchers that would eat up you, reacting and enjoying the main story quest, and associated raids/stories for each expansion. they're one long story, and it's quite chunky. something like 20-40 hours per release. 5 releases. You wouldn't need to edit the videos down, players literally just want to watch a playthrough in real time or in VOD form. i know it sounds wild, but a number of full playthrough channels have gotten a good viewership out of it. though understandably, not everyone enjoys MMO gameplay, or storytelling, or essentially reading an audio book to emotional vampires. but hey, if you try it and like it...it's not a bad hunk of content! If you do have any questions, myself, or really a number of people would prolly help you with answers/curation of what is suggested to experience. anyway have a great day!
We're emotional vampires and we exist to drink the tears and laughter of those who decide 'Imma play this dumb weeb shit' only to have their shit rocked.
The guy who looks badass that 'had your vote' is the guy that pretty much caused all of that by thinking the moon was a weapon that could swing the war in their favor. He didn't directly bring the moon close but he fanned the flamed of war instead of putting aside differences and preparing for whatever the moon meant. And to give context to the 'old Wizard' killing the dragon. That 'biggest spell glyph ever' was in fact the biggest glyph ever. The man's staff was special and collected all the ambient energy to use for the spell. But when the spell failed the magic that was now concentrated, but now loose, spread over the world. It then listened to the prayers of everyone. To be saved, for the world to rise from these ashes. To be reborn. When the old wizard collected the magic once more with his staff and jumped to attack the dragon he became those prayers. And rose as the Mighty Phoenix. A Realm Reborn from the ashes.
Always enjoy seeing people react to these. It's a lot of fun watching them try to piece things together. Others have already commented on the adventurers in the trailers so I'll leave that alone. One thing that does kind of suck is that they just released a teaser trailer for the new expansion yesterday. It's called "Dawntrail" should look into it.
just imagine your only exposure to final fantasy being "The spirit within". that be like your only reference to dragonball being "Dragonball Evolution" , or knowing of deathnote only through that netflix movie.
To kinda explain what he was in Shadowbringers at the end, it was a type of soldier called a Dark Knight. The job is focused around the idea that feelings have power because they focus the spirit, and taking strong emotions to refine them into released energy and attacks. The most common strong emotions felt by Dark Knights (including the newest recruits) are negative, for they manifest so readily; anger, hatred, spite, despair, the kind that cause a person to lash out. As you grow in power, you attain an understanding that the urge to protect others, your love for them, and the fear for what might happen to them or you can be harnessed. It is, oddly enough, the magical girl class.
yes the Eorzean alphabet is english but stylized in a way to make it seem foreign. takes a moment of looking at the letters to figure which is which but after awhile it becomes second nature.
I played from Alpha of FFXIV to 1.0 Original to the reboot that Yoshi-P successfully did in Realm Reborn, to the following expansions of Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and the latest one; Endwalker. From 1.0 Original to A Realm Reborn, they realized 1.0 was a failure and they brought in Yoshi-P to retool it completely. In the Realm Reborn trailer, you saw the red moon, Dalumud, and the summoning of Bahamut, that big ass dragon. That was the ending of 1.0. For a while at the end of 1.0, you saw the red moon in the sky and knew there was something coming. Then the original 1.0 legacy players saw that Realm Reborn trailer on 0 day, when the old servers where being taken offline and A Realm Reborn was being created and implemented. It's been a fun ride throughout the whole game and we're currently chugging along through the patches. Between each expansion are 2 yrs of patches, where they add new content every quarter until the new expansion drops. It's been a crazy 10 years since the reboot of Realm Reborn and have been loving it. Unique feature, after you hit your first 30 levels on your character, you can pick up and add new jobs just on your one character. Shadowbringers demonstrated that brilliantly during the trailer and the fight with the light creature. If you want to pick up playing, stick with it, make it through Realm Reborn and it starts progressing faster after that and won't be such a slog. We recently had a new patch and am having fun playing through the content.
Just FYI, there are a lot more than 14 games in the Final Fantasy series. Other than the 16 main line games (Final Fantasy 16 just came out), Final Fantasy 11 and 14 are both MMORPGs, while the rest are single player traditional jRPGs. Final Fantasy X has a sequel named Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy XIII has 2 sequels. And then there's ALL the non-mainline games like Final Fantasy Tactics series, and side games like Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy 7... All in all, there are a LOT of games in the Final Fantasy franchise. 😁 Oh, and they're not all typical fantasy fare either, some are set in a traditional medieval Europe fantasy type setting, while others are much more futuristic and outright and Sci-Fi. Some feature travel between worlds, some feature travel through time... In my opinion there's a Final Fantasy game for everyone no matter what their preferences are. Regarding the quality of cinematics, SqureSoft/SquareEnix were always on top of the game for cinematics in their games. So while FF14 has awesome cinematics, most of the other FF games have pretty awesome cinematics and cutscenes as well. (Final Fantasy 1-6 were on the NES/SNES era, so obviously no amazing 3D cinematics there, though FF6 did get a PS1 re-release later on with some nice, for 1999 PS1 of course, CGI cutscenes added in).
I just want to point out that you did notice the music change from a classical fantasy style to a much more contemporary style. For 1.0, A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, and Stormblood the main themes were composed by Nobuo Uematsu, who had done the music for most of the mainline FF games since the beginning of the series. Starting with Shadowbringers all music was handled by FFXIV's sound designer Masayoshi Soken
The dragon in the beginning is Bahamut which is a FF staple as he is in most of the games, the big structure that came down was a sword which he does in the games all the time. The spell is meteor which is also in the games
The planet is in a way a post-apocalypse. Hundreds of years in the past, there was the Alagan Empire, which was straight up science fiction level, to the point that they even built literal space-ships and landed on one of the moons. But then a combination of falling into decadence, rebellions and a series of natural disasters destroyed the Empire, and for the most part their technology was lost, reverting the world back to a medieval level. In the intervening centuries, some cultures advanced to steam-punk-ish levels, while most stagnated technologically at the medieval level and only developed and regressed in cycles in terms of magic. Quite recently however, over the course of a couple of decades, the Garlemald Empire, seemingly out of nowhere started developing machines, and by now they have mechs, airships and lots and lots of guns. However Garleans are unable to use magic, which was part of the reason, they invested so heavily in their technological development. With all their new technologies, they went on a conquering spree of their neighbors, with Eorzea (the place were the game takes place), being their latest target. This is massively abrdiged and simplified, but it should be enough to get a feeling for the starting point of the game.... that is, the starting point of 1.0, which you can no longer play. 1.0 of FF14 was badly designed in it's most basic architecture. They might have been able to patch it into a mediocre game at best, so they decided to burn it down and remake it, both technologically and story-wise. So they programmed an entirely new game (except for some graphical assets) and also burned the continent down in the story, which brings you to A Real Reborn, where you start if you play the game now. Prior to 1.0 Garlemald invaded Eorzea, but ran into that dragon from the intro and were driven back under massive losses. Because of that, they decided to just drop the lesser moon Dalamud on the continent and be done with them. How can they control a moon? Alagan technology. They dug up some old transmitters, with which the Alagans were able to steer Dalamud and rather than wondering why that exists, they decided to weaponize it. Through the course of 1.0 the players destroyed their transmitters, but by the time they did, it was too late and even without further steering, Dalamud was so close that gravity was going to bring it down anyway. The Eorzeans prepared a big ritual in which they would beseech their gods to stop the moon from crashing into the planet... but then it turned out the moon wasn't a moon at all, but rather an ancient Alagan space station, in which Bahamut, a near god-like magical beast in the shape of a dragon, was sealed. With bits of the prison breaking away from gravity and atmospheric entry, the structure weakened enough for the beast to break free. While ultimately Bahamut was defeated, it came at the cost of massive destruction all over the continent, to the point that the very climate changed in some places and by the time ARR starts (i.e. where you start, if you begin playing now), the local communities still have not recovered, despite the years that passed in the meantime. Refugee camps everywhere, economies that only now begin to slowly stabilize and trade routes being reestablished.
The twins the the Endwalker trailer (who you said sould wear pants to the fight) are the grsndkids of the old wizard that killed the dragon. The party you see in the first two trailers were dropped after ARR though they do reapear later as in game characters for a time.
I'm sure you've heard plenty by now, but over the weekend FFXIV had what is known as a Fan Festival, where new expansion details are revealed, and they released a teaser trailer for the newest expansion, Dawntrail, if you wanted to watch more XIV trailers and see how the game keeps progressing through the trailer space!
It's interesting that you're watching these trailers now as this Friday we will likely get our very first peak at the next expansion for Final Fantasy 14, most likely in the form of a teaser trailer with the full trailer likely coming in the Fall.
also in this game, one character can become and level up every single job profession in the game, thats why you see the main character in the trailer switching jobs so many times, its to represent the fact that you can switch to whatever job you have learned as he is supposed to represent your character in the game as they progress through the storyline. If you haven't played it, i recommend it. All the trailers for all the expansions up to endwalker is one continuous and interconnected storyline that took 10 years of waiting to experience it all.
so few things to explain, cause many say terms that mean nothing to you Primal, they are creatures like the Gigant Dragon (Bahamut), in essence they are manifestations of will, they take form dpeending of inspiration and their bjective is based on those who manifested him, well, more like all of who has ever manifestated each one, Primal Bahamut takes that form from the actual Bahamut who was the King of Dragons, after his death by *PLOT* his wife, Tiamat, grief and his people wished for Revenge, that wish took the form as a Primal in the form of the now deceaced Bahamut and continues to try to fulfill the wish that created it from the beginig, revenge (against basically everything), even if the current Tiamat or its people no longer wish that (again, the fulfill the wish that CREATED them), the main problem with Primals is that their manifestation takes way to much energy from the planet and could kill it if they remain for to long, Bahamut has such inmense power that this is many time amplified, now in the end, what happened with the old man was essentially the same, all the life that was treatened by Bahamut has a single desire, survival, and after he died, his soul became the enbodiment of this wish, thus creating Phoenix and dealing a great blow to Bahamut, big enough to make him retreat and recover (again, Primals arent technically alive, they need wishes to become enbodiments, so as long as those remain, he can recover again and again)
Fanfest 2023 is in a few days, and I don't think we're going to get anything much then, but we might be getting new rumblings of the next expansion. Most of these trailers are the opening scenes for the new expansions as they've come, usually we get the first half of the trailer early and the rest is revealed closer to release. We could have another trailer to look forward to by early January 2024. Some general details to give a bit of context: - Flames of Truth isn't so much of a proper trailer but more like a final cutscene that revealed more information. The original cut of it ended when the old wizard (Louisoix) faded into white and it was presumed he was killed. The reality is what you saw there, but with some extra info that comes up through the course of the related content in game. - A Realm Reborn trailer has the people teleported away by Louisoix reappearing, but what isn't apparent is that they've actually been sent 5 years into the future, after all the damage that'd been done has settled and the world has had some time to heal these heroes find themselves back in the world mostly without memory of what happened. The dude in the fancy armour with the airship is Gaius van Baelsar, the main antagonist in the end of the A Realm Reborn storyline. - Heavensward title pulls double duty. It introduced floating islands, flying mounts and all that stuff to play into the aerial focus, "Heavensward". The story itself deals with a city-state in the world and their ongoing battle with dragons in the surrounding area, and a conspiracy of events transpiring with the Archbisop and his personal knights, the Heavens' Ward. - Stormblood is a rebellion campaign, it doesn't really get presented in the trailer, but the story revolves around mounting resistances against the Garlean empire, the background antagonistic force that's pretty omnipresent. Gaius was a commander of one of their divisions, and there's a number of divisions that have made themselves problems multiple times over in each expansion. Stormblood introduces Zenos yae Galvus, who is the prince of the Garlean Empire. - Shadowbringers opens with a sort of symbolic representation of the last conflict with Zenos, who the focus character defeats in the quickdraw. What isn't made explicit in the trailer is that the story of Shadowbringers goes to an alternate dimension, a sort of reflection of the main world where different things have happened and the world is at threat of being completely destroyed by the power of light. It shows how "Light" does not necessarily mean "Good" and that even an overwhelming amount of light can be deadly, and in becoming the Warrior of Darkness, a Shadowbringer, you try to restore the balance of light and darkness so that this mirror world isn't destroyed. In canon, it's long known by this point of the story that another mirror world was overrun with darkness and was destroyed, becoming "the void" that the setting analogue to demons ("voidsent") come from. - Endwalker is the most recent expansion, and for the most part it deals with a threat at the level of basically unmaking the main world. It's hard to summarize in brief, but the one thing to comment on is the catwoman in black, Y'shtola, isn't evil, she's a very strong ally of ours. She's just addressing a council of scholars who ostensibly collect and wield a massive amount of magical knowledge and secrets but have decided the only way to deal with "the end of days" is to hunker down and enact their Doomsday plan of "Let's evacuate and give up". The Scions that Y'shtola mentions are the group that have been assisting the player from the beginning, and she's declaring that they will fight the literal destruction of reality to the last moments rather than run away. You're also not too off about that starship looking thing in the title card. All in all, there is still more to come from the game. It's confirmed there is another expansion upcoming, that being the 7.0 update as has been the general tradition of iterating the version number for every major update. A Realm Reborn was 2.0 and is largely the update that saved the game from what was certainly going to be complete ruin given how poorly received FFXIV was at first. We're currently on patch 6.45 as of the 17 of this month and generally we get to X.55 or so before the next expansion comes, so we're drawing close. If you are interested in the game, it's a good time to start. I'm sure you've probably seen the memes about the free trial, you can play A Realm Reborn and Heavensward from start to finish to the Heavensward level cap of 60 with no limits on playtime, but past that requires a subscription. For being an MMO it actually has a fairly complex storyline throughout following the Main Scenario Questline, ARR starts out pretty weak but a thing to keep in mind is that ARR was crunched out in about 2 years by the current project lead of the game, which is super impressive turnaround considering that he basically had to have the entire game remade from what they originally started with, but it definitely shows that they had to make sacrifices some places and didn't really know what they were going for in places at first. I believe by now that there's a system in place that allows players to progress through the main story quests and dungeons without having to queue up and wait for other players, instead opting to jump in with AI party members and push through so you're not spending 20+ minutes sitting around waiting for other random players to blind queue into what you're trying to do, so as to not break up or interrupt the flow of the story too much by making it take 50 minutes to get into a dungeon required by the story.
I forgot to mention that the giant ‘beholder’ thing is called a ‘Marbol’ or ‘Malboro’ loosely based on the cigarette. The acid spray/acid gas attack it makes is called ‘Bad Breath’.
if you are looking at all the FF games the only real connecting fabric is that you are protecting crystals of some sort. the games really found their niche after FF4 where they put character drama as the driving force in an RPG. to the point that you have a character capable of casting advanced magic without being able to cast the most basic spell because of PTSD. or even people just changing character design and battle mechanics to show character growth.
FF14 is the first and only Final Fantasy game I've played so far, and I didn't even want to play it, I was dragged in by a friend to try it out with him. It's now my favourite and most played game.
23:48 This is where I like to self-insert my character into the cutscene. As one of those dragoons. She is a member of the Knight's Dragoon, after all. And at that time, she certainly would have been there to stab the piss outta that dragon. XD 40:24 The chorus here is actually singing in a language created by a game dev called "Dragonspeak" I could go on for hours, but I'll settle for translating the trailer In dragonspeak: Dys an Sohm in Rohs An kyn ala na Ma Morn Dys an sohm in Al Sdjahs afah an And in English: Our slumber disturbed All my brothers wake! Death comes Our slumber disturbed Vengeance will be ours! 37:34 Moses parted the sea; Meteor parted the sky.
Next weekend (7-28 and 7/29) is FFXIV Fan Fest. A big convention full of contests, panels, a concert AAAAND Announcements! We are anticipating to get word of the next Expansion this weekend. All the trailers you watched are all part of a 10 year story that wrapped with Endwalker. The next expansion begins a new saga for the lands of Eorzia and our Warriors of Light. We are all Stoked! Hope to see you react to the new trailer when it drops!
The Flames of Truth cutscene up to when the old wizard got everyone else out of there is also the first part of the Realm Reborn intro cinematic, for which A New Beginning is a continuation. The part where the old wizard killed the dragon was an extended version of the scene, shown after you fight the dragon in-game.
this a year old. they have new expansion now. Call Dawntrail. with a new Final Fantasy XIV Cinematic trailer. @11:19 that little character. the race is call "lalafell" or lala for short. I play as one. Yeah you can say, we're close to halfling. but a little bit smaller.
As a FFXIV player, I didn't know anything about FF prior to playing XIV. I had played SWTOR and I started FF not long after Heavensward came out, but as someone new to multiplayer games and a game that wasn't from Bioware I was confused with the setup so I didn't play long. I did return in 2019 and started a new character, who is nearly caught up to current content, I just have the newest 8 man raid to do and I'll be all caught up. FF has a great free trial, which I wish they had when I first started, but you can play A Realm Reborn and Heavensward (up to lvl 60) for free. So, you can level all the classes to 60, do the MSQ to 60, side content, do the crafting & gathering jobs to 60. There are more things to do I'm sure, but those are the main highlights. Anyway, that's just in case anyone was interested. Make sure to go directly to Square Enix's site to signup and download the trial, I highly suggest not going through Steam. Anyway, loved the reaction!
from what I recall the first trailer is for the original game, whereas Flames of Truth is how the developers killed the original FF14 to completely remake the game into what it is today, so not really a DLC trailer but more like the end of an era sounding in the next/current version of the game, the end of the first game/version was actually an in-game event players fought and played towards, and then upon the servers going offline Flames of Truth played (this is what I've read in other comments btw)
My friend you can get the game for $40 and it comes with everything, the story is amazing one of the best long form video game stories please give it a try you will love it
The 'magic' cards as you called them at the beginning are pretty much job offers, called Guildleves. They represent jobs people need you to do. In this case, it was get rid of that marbol (The big ugly plant critter). Sure, it's a bit over the top for a job application, but part of that is because of an ability your character and others have called the Echo.
If druids could wild shape into a behemoth (from the ff series) you would see some eco-terrorism on a whole new, meteor filled level…. Though even the gods would fear if they every became a red chocobo….
The best thing I can tell you bud is try the Free trial of FFXIV to find out more telling you anything would spoil a lot of it but the people you saw were all your Allies
First trailer was back in original ff14 before a realm reborn the 2nd trailer. Basically ff14 1.0 was a complete $&?@ show that to change it instead of cancel or make another mmo is pretty much destroy old ff14 world, gods intervene to protect it and reborn it. A realms reborn is a vastly big update that fixed the core issue while making it part of the story. If wanna know more of it there is a documentary by no clip going into details with even interview the devs on it.
Since I haven't seen it mentioned with all pieces in one place, 1.0 was shutdown in November of 2012 after only being online since September of 2010. When the game went down, anyone online was treated to the first half of the 2.0 trailer from the start to the fade out to white on Lousioux (the Wizard). After that, they were shown the words "But every end marks a new beginning..." and the A Realm Reborn logo was shown for the first time to the playbase. Some months later, A New Beginning was released in January of 2013 showing what had happened to the stand in player characters after Louisoux magicked them away. The five years had passed, then land had changed due to the elder primal Bahamut which you saw burst from the moon. For any account that had played legacy 1.0, they were given a special character scene upon opening into ARR for the first time, warping in instead of the normal opening new players get. They also got several other goodies such as the legacy Chocobo, uniquely designed after the 1.0 version of the bird. That's the in game information and some practical things players saw. Five years, vastly changed landscape. The reality of the story is just as interesting. 1.0 was abysmally received and functionally broken. So much so that after several attempts to repair and patch, a staff change occurred which put Yoshi P in charge of the team. With this new team, a brazen and crazy gambit was agreed upon. While patching and updating 1.0 both to provide what improvements they could and shift things toward the real goal, the team also started work on 2.0. Unlike a DLC, 2.0 was a complete relaunch. You can't play 1.0 anymore, its gone. It was burned down in reality as much as it was in the trailer. Knowing they could not just.. completely relaunch with a huge number of changes without adjusting in game lore, the scenario above came to pass. The 2.0 trailer represents not only the in game calamity, but the real world destruction of 1.0. It's probably the most fascinating case of reality writing the story I've ever seen.
To be fair, you should not fully understand a story or game via the cinematic trailer, it should just peak your interest to get into it and learn, yes?
The whole story is on a whole other level. Ive been playing RPGs for 40 years and this game's story is by far leagues ahead of any other game in gaming history. There is a reason the lead producer, Yoshi P (as well as the WHOLE dev team), is so beloved by the community.
The world building in FFXIV is so good! I really like the way it builds up an idea that seems simple, then makes you question it and subverts it in various ways. Great game with an amazing story.
@@RothAnim At least a partial cinematic trailer. We likely won't get the FULL trailer until early next year
They are really old and haven’t aged well… but you could do the trailers for 1-13.
@@sakinoru4557 Huh, did not know that, thanks for that.
In the ARR trailer he also represent the 1.0 players, who got their chars transfered from 1.0 to ARR.
@@sakinoru4557this is not true, meteor is from the in-game name (meteor survivor) given to him in a video, japanese players have always called him Hiroshi, derived from hikari no senshi (warrior of light, or more literally hero of light)

"The music goes so hard"
That's just Soken.

Justifiably so, lol
It's born from the pain of Tiamat since it's the primal at this point, so I guess it was angry for 4000 years straight. Reborn to be angry.
Yeah, but not every story is good, which makes locking content behind story boring as fuck.
For reference the original ARR trailer transitioned directly from the wizard teleporting the warriors away and getting engulfed into A New Beginning.
The battle with the dragon scene was revealed later, after a raid fight. Before that, it was a mystery how the dragon disappeared.
Yeah assuming this was one video, I’m confused why it also included flames of truth, unless it was just a general thing
@@mrcool9090A lot of people assume Flames of Truth is a regular trailer, when it’s kind of a spoiler trailer just put up on UA-cam

The real world story of FFXIV is almost as epic as the one in game. A documentary was made telling the story and can be found here on YT.
Father of Light is also a great Netflix show about a father and son playing FFXIV, it’s a great watch.
14:50 This was the cinematic that marked the end of final fantasy 14 online. Everyone that was online, saw this right before the servers were shut down. (you may look for the last moments of final fantasy 14) and the it is used as the opening cinematic for Final Fantasy 14: a real reborn.
The following part is omitted revealed to the players when they complete a dungeon series "coils of Bahamut" we all learn that he sacrificed himself to defeat Bahamut (the dragon)
What the old man did was to not just move them to a safe place, he moves them into the future.
17:55 Here is where the ff14: arr cinematic continues.
It is Eglish, just another.. font, so to speak.
It wasn't a dungeon series, it was a Raid.
Technically he didn't send them into the future, he sent them into the rift for 5 years. For them it was an instant. If you were a 1.0 player, your ARR intro was slightly different too and got extra cutscenes at the end of the ARR storyline.
@@idc2120 "he sent them into the rift for 5 years. For them it was an instant"
If you asked them, they were sent into the future, ain't it?
Thank you for the clarification, i was wondering why this version of the Trailer looked different.
I really love the spikes on dragoon armor that's such a simple touch that you never really see used but really adds to the world building.

My favorite is finding out that "Stormblood" is a part of "The Measure of His Reach" the Gyr Albanian national anthem:
"Though storms of blood approach ye,
Hells open, Heavens weep,
No goodly soul need ever fear
The measure of His Reach."
And that Rhalgar is literally holding both Lyse and the WoL in his reach in the cinematic is top shelf foreshadowing.
It could also mean Heaven's Ward as in someone under the protection of the heavens in the same way that someone taken in by a family would be considered their ward.

Also, the magic he jused is not fully his own it's the ambient magic gathered whit his staff
AND more importantly the magic born from prayers and hope, from those who wher praying to the gods.

To the Edge: Theme to "The Seat of Sacrifice: Warrior of Light" its one of my faves and i love the remix they made to it for the new Pandaemonium raid

Bringing up the cancer thing all the time is really getting creepy and cringe.
@@vfvs11a Even more cringe/creepy that you're offended on his behalf for people showcasing/emphasizing his passion/care for the work he does.

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!
I've never played FF14 but I LOVE these cinematics. XD
Amazing timing on reacting to these trailers! We are due to get a brand new (partial) trailer at the FanFest event in a few days to tee up the next expansion.
The games have sequels within each number like 13 and 13-2 ,13-3 there are also dozens of spinoffs that come out all the time
So… those are Leves. And they were the initial way that quests were assigned and taken
One thing to know going into Final Fantasy as a franchise is that music is a big part of it. While everyone will have their favorite and least favorite games, the community as a whole will generally agree that there isn't a bad soundtrack to any of the main series.
there are definitely bad songs, though. Pa-paya.

Also, races:
Elf -> Elezen
Human -> Hyur
Kitty -> Miqo'te
Orc -> Roegadyn (He called them that, not me. :P )
Halfling -> Potato... I mean, Lalafell
Bun -> Viera
Not really shown:
Lizard -> Au Ra (Yes, I know Yugiri is in the Stormblood cinematic. :P)
BIG cat -> Hrothgar
Gotta admit, those race descriptions are pretty spot on. XD
While it's never been confirmed or denied, I kinda doubt that the adventurers from Legacy/ARR trailers are supposed to be the same people as the characters you mentioned.
These aren't Nyelbert and Renda-Rae, though. They are, at most, their Source-counterparts.
@@JB-ci8fc I think Ardbert's party is certainly intended as a version of Derplander's party, at least going by stuff you pick up from the ShB role quests. And giving them names makes it easier to differentiate the jerk elf in the trailer from Urianger or Estinien.
@@shadowcat1606 And even them being their Source-counterparts is pretty iffy.
@@WhatKindOfNameNow True, yes. We can only really safely say that about Ardbert and our PC.
The "Paladin/Druid" in the New Era trailer is Odin, the Dark Divinity. He's a godlike monster prowling the forest that you have to fight. And the giant beast in the mountains was Behemoth, one of the most iconic monsters of the Final Fantasy series.
The Odin World Fate is fucking brutal but so much fun if you can get enough players

Simple timeline, trying to keep things as generic as possible to avoid spoilers:
Starts in a time of prosperity, but also war.
Did not expect to see Kyle Katarn reacting to my favorite game of all time, you know I had to click the instant this popped up on my recommended.
Some of these I haven't seen in quite a long time! The Heavensward trailer and music never fails to give me chills.

regardless if you have played the game or not, we all can say that our first reaction at the end of that EW trailer is "wow he's/we're on the moon"
One thing guaranteed after a trailer reaction: players that explain every frame with extreme details 😂
23:11 Ok that got a chuckle out of me. God damn.

Hi, new to your channel. I love watching these videos. That feeling you got at 15:48ish is pretty much how going through the entire game is like.
I love how each trailer has its own feeling and musical aesthetic and stuff despite them all being connected and with the same characters
43:08 She's not evil, she's going through her edgy goth phase.
I get an adrenaline rush when he explodes the monster in the end walker trailer
Oh, and they're not all typical fantasy fare either, some are set in a traditional medieval Europe fantasy type setting, while others are much more futuristic and outright and Sci-Fi.
The spell is meteor which is also in the games
the music writers put their entire everything into this game like damn
"Its Him Again" if you only knew how right those words are
The planet is in a way a post-apocalypse.
Next expansion will be announced this Friday. And we should have a new trailer or teaser trailer soon after.
It's interesting that you're watching these trailers now as this Friday we will likely get our very first peak at the next expansion for Final Fantasy 14, most likely in the form of a teaser trailer with the full trailer likely coming in the Fall.
Full trailer will come in January during the Japanese fanfest
Play it. Watch the cutscenes, follow the story, and enjoy the ride.
also in this game, one character can become and level up every single job profession in the game, thats why you see the main character in the trailer switching jobs so many times, its to represent the fact that you can switch to whatever job you have learned as he is supposed to represent your character in the game as they progress through the storyline. If you haven't played it, i recommend it. All the trailers for all the expansions up to endwalker is one continuous and interconnected storyline that took 10 years of waiting to experience it all.
so few things to explain, cause many say terms that mean nothing to you
Primal, they are creatures like the Gigant Dragon (Bahamut), in essence they are manifestations of will, they take form dpeending of inspiration and their bjective is based on those who manifested him, well, more like all of who has ever manifestated each one, Primal Bahamut takes that form from the actual Bahamut who was the King of Dragons, after his death by *PLOT* his wife, Tiamat, grief and his people wished for Revenge, that wish took the form as a Primal in the form of the now deceaced Bahamut and continues to try to fulfill the wish that created it from the beginig, revenge (against basically everything), even if the current Tiamat or its people no longer wish that (again, the fulfill the wish that CREATED them), the main problem with Primals is that their manifestation takes way to much energy from the planet and could kill it if they remain for to long, Bahamut has such inmense power that this is many time amplified, now in the end, what happened with the old man was essentially the same, all the life that was treatened by Bahamut has a single desire, survival, and after he died, his soul became the enbodiment of this wish, thus creating Phoenix and dealing a great blow to Bahamut, big enough to make him retreat and recover (again, Primals arent technically alive, they need wishes to become enbodiments, so as long as those remain, he can recover again and again)
Some general details to give a bit of context:
- Flames of Truth isn't so much of a proper trailer but more like a final cutscene that revealed more information.

The acid spray/acid gas attack it makes is called ‘Bad Breath’.

or even people just changing character design and battle mechanics to show character growth.
FF14 is the first and only Final Fantasy game I've played so far, and I didn't even want to play it, I was dragged in by a friend to try it out with him. It's now my favourite and most played game.
"Looks like a bunch of his friends were sent heavensward before their time" ngl this made me laugh haha
23:48 This is where I like to self-insert my character into the cutscene. As one of those dragoons. She is a member of the Knight's Dragoon, after all. And at that time, she certainly would have been there to stab the piss outta that dragon. XD
40:24 The chorus here is actually singing in a language created by a game dev called "Dragonspeak" I could go on for hours, but I'll settle for translating the trailer
In dragonspeak:
Dys an Sohm in
Rohs An kyn ala na
Ma Morn
Dys an sohm in
Al Sdjahs afah an
And in English:
Our slumber disturbed
All my brothers wake!
Death comes
Our slumber disturbed
Vengeance will be ours!
37:34 Moses parted the sea; Meteor parted the sky.
The foreshadowing of the gremlin in the Shadowbringers trailer is still so crazy
just because the catgirl (Y'Shtola) is wearing black in the last two trailers, doesn't mean she's evil.
We will only get a teaser trailer this upcoming weekend. We won’t get a full trailer until the Japanese fanfest in January
@@natashahatcher1251 Tease or not it's gunna be awesome!
@shinyuy I just got back from Fanfest. Yes, it was awesome.
New trailer soon, everyone! Whoo!
this a year old. they have new expansion now. Call Dawntrail. with a new
Final Fantasy XIV Cinematic trailer.
Anyway, loved the reaction!
from what I recall the first trailer is for the original game, whereas Flames of Truth is how the developers killed the original FF14 to completely remake the game into what it is today, so not really a DLC trailer but more like the end of an era sounding in the next/current version of the game, the end of the first game/version was actually an in-game event players fought and played towards, and then upon the servers going offline Flames of Truth played
(this is what I've read in other comments btw)
My friend you can get the game for $40 and it comes with everything, the story is amazing one of the best long form video game stories please give it a try you will love it
Masayoshi Soken, the composer for the music in FFXIV holds the world record for most original pieces of music in a video game.
New trailer for the next expansion just dropped yesterday
I both love and hate that you don't recognize a Marlboro or Bahamut. Great watch here.
Though even the gods would fear if they every became a red chocobo….
god no... not that...anything but that...
