Elite Badminton Training in Denmark | Denmark Vlog Part 1

- How can a small country like Denmark with just about 6 million citizens compete in Badminton with all the Asian Powerhouses like China, Indonesia, Japan or Malaysia?
I had the pleasure to visit the Academy of former World No. 1 and All England Champion Peter Gade and follow the practice sessions.
I also got a lot of insights about the club life in Denmark and I decided to make a second part just about that
About the Academy:
Peter founded the Academy in 2018 and it is based in the Kopenhagen Area. Players with a high level (Elite Junior or Senior Level) can apply for a taking part in the training.
Besides that Peter also started an online Academy for everybody, you can find all the details here: petergade.com/

Looks like you had an amazing time! Looking forward to part 2! 👍
Incredible job. Very nice filmed, edited and explained. I have done quite a lot of videos from that hall.
Would love you to give you a tour in Kolding badminton club or a special tour on my work, where we combine school and badminton at a lower age (14-17) with 5 practises each week.
Looking forward for the next vlog - keep the quality up. Lovely to watch 🤩
Thank you and I would love to see your club as well 😊 sounds super interesting!
Great view about Peter Gade Academy. Really great training. waiting for the next part :)
Eagerly waiting for part 2! Quite the time you've had there :)
Yes it was a great week 😊
Amazing, this is something I always wanted to see.
As a young danish player, I wish my badminton club looked like this! Mine is awesome too, but it definitely isnt as big or ambitious as this one. I hope I get a training that looks at least a little bit like these ones when I'm older and on a higher level :)
Wow! Great Vlog. Every drill and session is very well planned out.
Lovely! Thank you for the insight. Looking forward to Part 2!
This was an amazing vlog! Looking forward to more
Very instructive video ! Seeing how a dane academy works from the inside is so insteresting ! Thanks for the vid, can't fait for the next part !
So fun seeing your own club in the video - (KBK) and happy that you had a good time here. Looking forward to the next vlog! Were there any exercise from the academy you think is suitable for intermediate players?
I think many of the exercises can be adjusted to lower level as well, the WS exercise for example is not difficult and also works on an intermediate level for sure!
This is amazing. The dream for any badminton player =)

Very interesting trip. Thank!
Thx for this vdo from Thailand
Very good setup. Could you make a video on the setup of badminton clubs and their management around Europe? That would be great to watch and learn from.
What kind of clubs you mean exactly? Have you seen the 2nd vlog already about danish clubs, or do you mean clubs from the other countries?
@@tobiaswadenka8435 No, I havent. Thanks, I'll watch that soon.
Thank you bro...
Glad you like it! =)
Hi, could you recomend the top junior badminton training camp in Denmark pls age 12-15yrs old. Thank you
What a great setup they have in denmark. Is there anyway that you are allowed to release the multifeed programmes? Would be great to see which excercises are being done.
That's amazing
Luar biasa
Thank you for yet another informative video. I have always been curious about how PG's academy is set up.
But don't you think the Gentofte training hall's ceiling is a little bit low? I wonder if that has any negative effect on the players, cause I personally don't like playing in halls with low ceiling.
Thank you for your feedback 😊 for me the ceiling there was no problem, I think you can hit it but I didn't see it happening this week
Tobias please please please !!! I want you to make a video on how can i improve more in less time?
I mean bcoz of lockdown my training had stopped for a complete year nd now I'm practicing continuously for last 8 months but I want a video on how can i improve more in less time?
please brother make a video ASAP
I'll be honest... as an Asian, I'm a bit jealous after watching Gentofte badminton hall, it's pretty rare to find it in Asia (I live in Indonesia). but somehow we have a lot of best players haha.
I think in terms of badminton there are many things we can be jealous on you guys in Indonesia 😂 such an amazing badminton culture and so many amazing players with incredible skills 🤩
@@tobiaswadenka8435 fair enough 😂
👌
👍👍
Do they have a soft spot for amateurs there? I wouldn't mind spending my vacation at badminton academy at all :)
a lot of clubs will have a 1-2 week training camp during the summer. but i've no idea if they would be open for bon members... i'd guess at least some are
So you're meeting with Mads Pieler Kolding?
In Denmark, is badminton more popular then Tennis?
There is no secret other than all Danes gets a racket immediately after birth. And of course the promise of a Dubai adventure after becoming world champion.
hello sir! can i join your academy for my training?
amazing to see so many empty courts
Thank you Tobias for sharing this unique experience. In your opinion, how much training one should prepare in footwork vs technique?
I wouldn't see them as two separate things, there are so many ways to train both things at the same time and I think that is also important to do that. Of course it also makes sense to focus on one thing but how often depends on many different things like the level of players, how many training hours per week,...
Tobias looks more like Peter than Peter looks like Peter.
Hahaha, definitely one of my favourite comments XD
You forgot to mention india, india also powerhouse in badminton
Is it possible to go there as an amateur?
To be honest, no point in going there if you are not representing your country.
Not in the morning training but I think it is possible to take private lessons with the coaches in the afternoon

Cool video! Her taler vi med Peter om high-performance; mindset og ikke mindst vigtigheden af frivillighedskulturen i Danmark: ua-cam.com/video/AOT_4buVR5A/v-deo.htmlsi=jp3CJCS4m8bYHBr0
The only secret is Denmark is not involved in foolish sports tennis like most of the European countries do. Badminton is faster, less time , more enjoyable and fun to watch
