I don't know where I heard/read this, but I remember someone saying they visualize a previous fight/sparring session, and they try to do "things differently" like avoiding a punch or using the jab more or little details like that, all of this while using the keys seen here. Great video.

  • @marc2638

Shadow boxing is something to me anyway that sets your foundation on how good or shitty your going to be. If you can't visualize your own fight while shadow boxing that means you won't be able to think in the fly and fight. I started myself off shadow boxing in a mirror I studied what a 1 and a 2 is I studied some combos some defense head movements and then when I felt comfortable I bought a light 80lbs heavy bag and started punching that ole girl adding to my skills. I hate saying skills I'm not skilled I train boxing because I love it and it's an avenue for me to let out extra energy and aggression in a safe legal healthy manner. Anyway back to my point I started myself off at the lowest of low and worked up,,,, I have discipline and integrity I will never cheat myself I spent 9 years in the army so I know how to push and keep going and being honest with myself but I wish I hada gym and a coach at times because it would be awesome to have someone critique me and give me constructive criticism on what I need improvement on. Love this channel love it

But I was impressed by the quality importants of the content your teaching in this video, I think every boxer should see and apply this knowledge, and even use these 6 things in all that it could be applied to In training, hitting the heavybag, drills, etc.... thanks to coach Anthony

I believe visualization can burn more calories than the movement itself and is the most difficult part about shadow boxing, too. Randomly throwing punches or blocking is simple. But imagining an opponent trying to beat you up is really hard work for the brain.
